Chapter 688: Blite Mountain
The Blite Mountain was one of the many strange events and changes that emerged when the apocalypse descended on Earth.
Just like the fire region Klaus entered months ago, where he killed those five fire beasts, the Blite Mountain is a zone for lightning monsters.
Only lightning-type monsters and beasts reside there.
It’s located somewhere in the Austria Union, where Overlord Isaac resides.
It was once a forbidden zone, but after Overlord Isaac cleared it due to its danger, it became a place for lightning cultivators to practice.
However, three weeks ago, reports reached the academy that three Tier 9 beasts had taken residence there and were continually attacking the humans training in the area.
The War God of that region and the warriors kept holding them back, but the beasts only seemed to grow more furious and aggressive by the day.
This was why, when reports reached Old Lu, he gave the mission to Klaus to handle it.
Currently, Klaus is en route to the Austria Union, where he will be meeting with the War God and the military leader of that region to address the threat.
Of course, Old Lu had already informed them that Klaus would handle the threats, but out of respect, he would first formally inform them.
Klaus saw no problem with that, so, taking Old Lu’s jet, he left to quickly clear the mission and become an inner disciple.
Not that he needed it—he is already above the inner disciple standards, as he currently has seven sovereign cores.
But he liked the academy and wouldn’t just live there because he didn’t benefit much from it.
After a few hours of flying, he reached his destination, where, from a distance, he saw a young man in a military uniform and another wearing armor waiting for him.
About ten soldiers stood behind them.
“Welcome to the Austria Union, Klaus. It’s good to have you here,” War God Henry said with a polite smile, extending his hand for a handshake.
“It’s great to be here. I never really visited anywhere aside from the forbidden zones in the Northern Union,” Klaus replied, being his usual self.
Naturally, he is always smiling unless provoked.
“This is General Nazz. He is in charge of the military affairs in the region,” War God Henry said.
“Nice to meet you, General,” Klaus said, shaking his hand firmly.
“Why don’t we take this to the headquarters? We would like to report a few things before you can get down to business,” War God Henry suggested.
The three and ten soldiers flew toward a tall, majestic building in the distance.
A few seconds later, they arrived and were seated in a room. War God Henry gestured for General Nazz to begin the presentation.
He projected an image of a beast that brought a smile to Klaus’s face the moment he saw it.
“This is a Diamond Scale Brute Elephant, but from the smile on your face, I can tell you already knew that,” General Nazz said with a smile.
“Of course. I faced a beast like this before but couldn’t win simply because it was just too monstrous with its defense.”
“Indeed. This beast has incredible control over the earth’s elements and, to some extent, can even transmute them into metals.
We tried several times to break its defense, but we couldn’t. However, that is just one monstrous aspect of it.
Aside from the defense, it also has a lightning affinity that allows it to wield a powerful form of lightning. We just could not keep up with that.
Then there is the Lightning Canine. As you can see, this beast is very ugly but also very monstrous.

It has a poison affinity, too, and aside from the lightning it can wield, it also has a strange skill that allows it to phase in and out of existence.
As for the last beast, we believe it’s the leader of the three simply because it’s at the peak of the Tier 9 stage and rarely attacks us.
So, we only know of its appearance, but even then, it has never appeared in its humanoid form, so we really don’t know anything about it.”
The image of a Third Eye Jaguar was projected. It was huge, and Klaus could tell it had mutated from the pattern on its body.
This makes it a powerful foe.
“So, from this, we can assume that the beasts are there to allow their leader to break through to the Tier 10 stage,” Klaus said, and the two inside the hall came to the same conclusion.
It’s already clear now.
The three beasts currently cooped up inside the Blite Mountains are not friendly in any way, and from what Klaus saw in the images presented to him, they are savages.
“Then I guess the faster they are taken care of, the better for everyone,” Klaus said, and War God Henry nodded. General Nazz also agreed.
“Very well. I will be going now. The quicker I get this done, the faster I can move on to the next mission,” Klaus said as he stood up, and the two with him followed.
“The Blite Mountain can be reached using a shuttle. Though flying there would be ideal, we cannot do that, considering the weather there can sometimes be unstable.”
They got into a shuttle and left for the mountain. Klaus had already made plans to end the battle as quickly as possible.
The task he wanted to embark on is much more challenging than this, so he wouldn’t be spending too much time there.
After 45 minutes of travel, they stopped.
When Klaus stepped out of the shuttle, he immediately felt the lightning energy in the air. As an elemental overlord, he could sense even the tiniest bit of elemental energy around him.
This also means he can use the tiniest elemental energy in the air.
“No wonder the beasts chose this place. The lightning energy here is incredibly strong, even from this distance,” Klaus remarked.
The War God and the army general who accompanied him nodded in agreement.
“They are in the inner section of the forest,” General Nazz said. “You have to be careful. They are dangerous and deadly.”
Klaus nodded. “You can come watch if you want. This will be ending faster than you think.”
Klaus started moving away, and War God Henry and General Nazz followed him.
They would be lying if they said they weren’t curious about watching the young man who single-handedly slaughtered an entire alliance of thousands.
Naturally, they wanted to see if what he had shown in the news was true.
After moving for four minutes, Klaus felt a presence approaching him from deep within the mountains. He smiled.
