Chapter 717: Making of the Seven-Star Paragon Force (17)
“You are here,” the queen said, making Klaus smile.
“Yes, I am here,” Klaus replied.
“I did promise you I would come a day before we attack your force. Now, we are ready and will be attacking tomorrow, so I want to know if you are ready to accept the alliance or if we should go back to plotting.”
Klaus looked at Jinx, whose hands were on her dagger, and smiled.
“I doubt your scheming will be able to do anything in this regard. So, let’s talk like civilized individuals and reach a good agreement.”
He walked forward and sat down like a king before turning toward a certain shadow. “You can come out. Hiding in the shadows wouldn’t make any difference.”
Both the queen and Jinx froze as their blood ran cold. They stared at Kent, not understanding what they should do in this regard. He had figured out someone was hiding in the shadows nearby.
In truth, had it not been for the connection between the ant queen and her soldiers, she wouldn’t have realized someone was hiding in the shadows despite her cultivation base.
Linx is a rare existence that defies many things. Her camouflage skills are out of this world.
So, for Klaus to figure out Linx was inside the shadow means he is someone who cannot be underestimated. He is someone aside from the two of them who now know of Linx’s existence.
Then, if that was the case, what else does he know that they don’t?
Naturally, that raised some eyebrows, and for a moment there, the thought of killing Klaus came to their minds. But recalling what he said, they knew killing this body wouldn’t make any difference.
Linx was their secret weapon.
The queen had planned to keep her a secret for as long as possible. But now Klaus had figured it out, and Linx, knowing her cover was blown, appeared from the shadows clad in her white armour.
“A white-armored figure hiding in the shadows—that is very bold,” he laughed, causing the three ladies to look at him strangely.
“You are Klaus Hanson, the youngest to have ever appeared on three warrior charts and the one who also eradicated an alliance made of tens of thousands. I have to say, your reputation precedes you,” Linx said with a smile.
Her words, however, startled Klaus.
A beast just said things only humans knew, and it felt like a data breach as if his privacy had been violated.
“There are beasts in the human world,” Kent said, and Linx smiled.
One had to say, for a beast who is an ant, her smile is actually very contagious.
“You will be startled by how many beasts have evaded your ranks. Some of us have the means to blend in, and as such, we did and have risen to the highest rank you can ever imagine.” Linx knew everything had to be on the table now.
The fact that Klaus dominated them moments ago meant he wasn’t really scared of them. This didn’t sit well with her, so she also made sure Klaus was made aware he wasn’t in control of everything.
“I see. Then this means the beasts are planning to attack my people. I can only act accordingly,” Klaus spoke coldly, making Linx feel her spine tingle.
“But don’t worry, you are almost my ally, so no harm will come to you and your family. But that is if this alliance is a success.”
The three ladies looked at each other.
“Although the soldiers outside are flawed, they are still a powerful force that protects me and my children, so asking to destroy everything isn’t something I can warrant,” the queen said, thinking about the seven cocoons.
They are the most precious things to her now, so she wasn’t about to hand over her soldiers to Klaus. They are her protection.
The third blockage is her strongest force so far.
“Finding where to keep your cocoons should be the last of your worries.” Klaus turned to Jinx.
“I know you saw the lady in my team with the two ants under her. Ask yourself, where do they go back to after the battle? You should worry less about that and focus more on what this alliance will be giving you.

I plan to give you the means to evolve, and that evolution is not the one you three went through when you became Transcendents and then Ascendents.
This evolution will transform you in ways you can never imagine. It will give you powers you can never imagine and even give your seven children a different evolution path that has never occurred before.
I know what I am talking about, for I have seen it happen.
Now, before you think this is just me selling a lie…” Klaus turned to Linx, “Since you know me, then you probably know of the Overlords, too.”
She nodded.
“Then what can you tell your queen about the one called Nari?” Kent said, and Linx seemed to piece everything together.
“She is also a beast,” she said, and Klaus nodded with a smile.
“And she isn’t the only beast I have helped. So think about it and let me know your answer. Like I said a week ago, allying with me will be the best thing that will ever happen to you. Trust me.”
He said nothing more and just sat there as the ant queen and her two soldiers worked to decide whether they wanted to join his team.
Thirty minutes later, Klaus smiled.
“After the battle tomorrow, the contract will be formed, and please feel free to ask all the questions on your mind after the battle. I am sure she will be thrilled to talk to you.
Of course, thank me when everything is done, for you will understand what it means to be on my team after it all.” Klaus smiled as he vanished.
The queen and her two subordinates continued to stand there for a while before they managed to recover their composure.
“That human is very dangerous.” The queen had to admit that Klaus was the most dangerous of all the beasts she had killed—and strangely, he was a human, beings she didn’t place in her eyes.
“There is no harm in trusting him, my queen,” Linx said. “Of course, if he proves to be one of those scum, even though we can’t kill him, we can kill a few of his friends, including the lady he wants you to contract with.”
Linx’s words were cold and absolute. There was no denying her resolve in that. The two nodded, ready to make sure Klaus bled if he tried anything funny.
