Chapter 797: A Genius Known as Klaus
The reason Anaki and Inaki are the two most brilliant minds on Earth is because of the class they awakened when the apocalypse descended.

Runic Magic.

There are many others who have the ability to draw runes; however, they pale in comparison to these two. Their class is specifically for Rune Magic.

This meant their path to advancement is through walking the Rune Master path. However, that is where it gets technical.

They were already engineers before the apocalypse descended, so when they awakened this class, their brilliance was amplified.

Just like how the Three Nerds became even smarter, allowing them to make Oracle, Anaki, and Inaki also became much smarter. This allowed them to take their minds beyond their current understanding.

With a class like Runic Magic, they became engineering wizards. Their minds kept getting stronger, and the more they grew in their cultivation base, the more brilliant they became.

They devised the formula for creating a zero-degree core for the spaceship’s propulsion systems; however, as brilliant as they were, they couldn’t figure everything out, but they made some progress.

So, for Klaus to claim he would be able to help them, they became a little puzzled.

“Isn’t helping us such a bold statement to make? Don’t you think, Mr. Klaus?” Anaki asked in a slightly sarcastic tone.

The fact that he claimed that was just too shocking yet infuriating if one were to think about it. Klaus was just a warrior, so he had no business telling them he could help.

“I know you two won’t take me seriously,” Klaus shook his head.

“No offence, Klaus Hanson, but the idea that you can help us is just too shocking, don’t you think?

Rune magic requires you to know the basis, which includes knowing the symbols and how to write them. But let’s say you know the symbols, you still need to understand the essence behind every symbol to be able to draw or write them.

I am not looking down on you, considering what you can do and have already done. But this is our field, and while I would want to be exuberant knowing you can help, I don’t see you having the means, so stop messing with us,” Inaki asked, looking smugly at Klaus.

Klaus just smiled, knowing this reaction from the twins was to be expected. But he wasn’t joking, so he knew it was time for him to unleash his Nerd side.

“I know you two have already created six layers of runic diagrams. Ask me how I knew that,” Klaus said, causing Anaki and Inaki to freeze in their steps.

“When I first entered this room, call it intuition or perhaps curiosity. However, I found these strange symbols fascinating.

So I started examining them. At first, they seemed like gibberish. However, as I continued to examine them, I figured out they were runic symbols.

That was when it all clicked.” Klaus paused.

He most definitely wanted to have answers for his sudden knowledge of the path of rune magic, for he didn’t know where all this knowledge was coming from.

Of course, he could peg it to his past self, but so far, he knew Efad, his 9th incarnation, was a formation expert. He knew this because that was what Efad wanted to be when he grew up.

His mother was a formation expert, and thanks to that, she was able to help him escape. But even if he one day became a formation expert, that didn’t explain where this knowledge was coming from.

This rune magic was much more geared toward engineering, not formations. So he knew this side of him, though it was coming from his past self, wasn’t Efad.

Then, if that was the case, why did he have this strange fascination with rune magic? Which of his past selves was a rune master?

The senior only said, perhaps, he was a weaponmancer in one of his many lives. But that is yet to be confirmed. Still, the signs all pointed in that direction.

“After going through the symbols, I figured they are runes, and that was when my understanding started to expand. The zero-degree cooling can be achieved. However, you will need ten more layers to achieve that.”

“This…” Inaki turned and looked at her sister. The two of them were puzzled to the extent that they turned to Queen Lunara.

“He is Klaus… Even I don’t understand him.” She chose not to meddle with matters concerning Klaus and his many shocking qualities.

Anaki and her brother turned back to Klaus and asked, “Are you sure you can help us solve the remaining diagrams. They are much more complex than you think?”

“Of course. I just need to study all the runes that went into creating the core up to this stage, and I will handle the rest.”

His confidence was oozing, and even Klaus was shocked by it. Just like how he could easily use any weapon, he seemed to be doing the same now.

And since he now had the Hivemind, he was doing more than just studying runes; he was opening a part of his past.

Anaki and Inaki nodded and pulled up every last rune they had drawn, every last rune, and handed it to Klaus, who, thanks to his Hivemind, started going through everything like he was the one who made it.

The three people in the room with him could only watch as Klaus swiped through the pages on the device he was using.

It took him close to thirteen hours to go through everything.

With every second he spent going through the pages, the more his understanding deepened.

He most certainly didn’t know he was brilliant despite having the Hivemind, but his thinking changed when he was done reading the symbols.

“I don’t know how much was put into this, but I have to say, you two are really brilliant. I can already see you achieving lightspeed soon enough,” Klaus said with a smile.

“If you don’t mind me asking, where did you study Rune Magic? I most certainly didn’t expect you to know rune magic, considering your class definitely isn’t for rune magic,” Anaki asked, looking puzzled.

“Let’s just say I have many talents, and this is one of them,” Klaus responded with a smile. There was no way he would tell them he had help from his past self.

That would be a long stretch, so he decided to hide that for now.

Anaki and her brother, Inaki, sighed. They could only swallow their questions for now and ask him what had to be done first.

“First, we must focus on the first diagrams. The rest depend on the first. So we will take six steps back and expand that by including more runes. This way, when we start putting more rune diagrams into it, it will be able to hold them.”

“Alright, when do we start?” Anaki asked.

“Now. It will take a couple of days, but we should be done with everything within the next fourteen days. I have to be off Earth in the next fourteen days.”

The twins nodded. This is their chance to accomplish their dreams.

They led Klaus to a new room where they would be working for the next few days.
