Chapter 839: Reincarnated Friends (3)
One of the greatest battles in history was between the 6th Paragon and the Blood Demon Emperor. Unfortunately, only one person witnessed it—a mortal who was away gathering herbs for his healer parents.
The battle occurred in a space bubble, drawing no one’s attention. Since it was in a bubble, no sounds were made, so unless you were there when the battle started, you wouldn’t know even if it were happening behind your house.
So that great battle was only witnessed by this mortal child, and that was when his destiny changed forever.
This battle occurred because of the Sword of Damnation, a treasure said to belong to the Flame General, one of the five Great Demon Generals of the primordial era.
It was an ordinary sword that evolved through battles and countless bloodshed, and became a terrifying weapon.
The Demon Emperor wanted this sword.
And Klaus, who was once friends with this Flame General, didn’t want his sword to fall into the Demon Emperor’s hands. So they fought, and Klaus’s 6th incarnation killed him.
However, he was also injured in the battle. Thankfully, this mortal human found him and took him home to be healed by his parents.
This kindness touched the 6th Paragon, so he planted the sword in the young human’s home before leaving.
He even left him a sword manual, despite knowing the household he was in didn’t kill. They were pacifists.
However, someone who knew the curse of a Paragon understood that a tragedy would happen one day, and as an immortal, he could not interfere with events in an unawakened world.
That’ll be a tragedy, so he left the only thing he could, and that was the last thing he was seen.
And he was right—the tragedy occurred hundreds of years after he left. But as an immortal who couldn’t directly interfere in mortals’ affairs, he didn’t want to cause them even more trouble.
Thankfully, the sword manual helped, and the young human who had helped him slowly let go of his beliefs and picked up the sword. He became one of the most respected and beloved generals of his people.
Everybody liked him, and every soldier wanted to serve under him. However, the jealousy of a king made him lose everything.
He lost his parents, wife, and children simply because the king wanted to destroy him and take away all he held dear—secretly, of course.
The King was scared he would take everything he held dear from him, so he was quick to strike while the general was away defending the borders from a monster tide.
And the king succeeded.
However, this king failed to realize that while nobody saw what he did, a sword that possibly didn’t want to be wielded anymore saw this cruelty.
So it decided to rise again, which was how the Vengeful General was born.
Queenie, Lucy, and Anna had to create a very powerful barrier around Kilian when he was done with his tribulation and was awakening his bloodline.
The whole 20 km around him was engulfed in flames. But that wasn’t the terrifying part. It was the thousands of bony heads screaming in the sea of fire.
Kilian was seated at the center of all this with his eyes closed, a long, black, jagged sword hovering before him.
The display was so horrifying that the ladies and Klaus’s friends started to wonder if this was indeed Kilian or a demon awakening.
However, after five minutes, when the awakening was over, they got their answers. But it wasn’t easy on them.
Kilian was a handsome human with short red hair and an athletic build. However, aside from that, his Vengeful General form was rather harrowing.
In the Vengeful General form, he was 3.2 meters tall—too tall for a human. I mean, standing over ten feet tall is already enough for a human.
…even if he were human at all.
The new Kilian was no human, nor could he even be considered a demon. He had become a terror of a person, and that alone scared his friends.
Even Queenie and her sisters were scared of his appearance.

His broad, muscled, forged body seemed to have been shaped in the most dreadful flame. One could even say he was a living engine of war.
But he would probably be stealing the Abyss engines’ title. However, the Vengeful General was rather terrifying by all standards.
A scar crossed his left eye, which glowed with a vertical flame-slit pupil. Horn-like flame crests protruded backward from his temples like a crown. This was one of the many things that made him impossible to ignore.
It seemed like he was blending human and demon features, which only made the situation worse…
His armor was dark, with veins of dark red flame lava running through it. Then, there was the sword, which looked even more terrifying—an imposing jagged form.
As for his third form, thanks to Klaus, he surprisingly took on an angelic appearance in that form.
He looked angelic, wielding a long golden sword. His wings were metallic gold, and aura around his Vengeful general form, the aura around his angelic form was calm and approachable.
“None of this makes sense anymore. I mean, look at him; he is the definition of danger in human form,” Anna said, watching Kilian fly toward his friends.
“It’s only normal for him also to become this terrifying. Haven’t you seen what happened to Lily, her sister?” The ladies decided to end it there.
Kilian’s transformation was enough for them to know that the rest of Klaus’s friends wouldn’t be normal either.
And they were right.
When Daniel came out and awakened his bloodline, he also became a giant like Danny and Miguel. However, his race was that of a metal demon.
His skin changed to a golden hue, cracked by flame veins, with the lava seeping through the cracks. His giant form was 7 meters tall, and his hammer grew as his size grew.
In his form influenced by Klaus’s blood, he rises to an impressive height of 10 meters, and his body turns into diamond.
He could maintain this form for just an hour, but could harness five times his normal strength in that state.
That made him even more powerful, and despite being only a level 2 Ascendant, he could clash with a Void Stage expert—provided they weren’t three levels and above.
Daniel became incredibly strong in his third form, which was all Klaus wanted for his friends. Even if they were some of the strongest in the past, he wanted them to be much more impressive this time.
He wanted them to become the forces they were meant to be—
Hours later, the Shadowless Assassin also awakened her bloodline…
