Chapter 840: The Shadowless Assassin

Five shadows were the total number of shadows that followed her…

Nia just stood there, looking at the tribulation cloud calmly. Her time had come to face her tribulation, yet she stood there as if she weren’t the one involved in it.

However, five minutes later, a powerful lightning bolt fell from the thick clouds, seeming to want to stop her at all costs.

The menacing bolt pierced through the air and landed where she stood.

But she didn’t move. She let the thick, dark, and twisted lightning strike her, vaporizing her completely.

This caused her sisters to gasp in shock.

They wondered if she had just died like that. The lightning bolt was enough to vaporise a Sovereign, so they knew she was in trouble.

However, the next second, Nia appeared again, this time with a small smile playing on her lips.

“It worked,” she muttered.

Though the lightning and thunder crackling in the clouds were loud and ear-piercing, her sisters heard what she said, causing them to pale.

“Did she just say it worked?” they wondered.

“Does that mean she wasn’t sure it would work?” Queenie asked. Anna and Lucy exchanged puzzled and shocked expressions.

“This crazy bitch, did she even think about how we would feel before nearly giving us a heart attack?” Lucy clenched her fist, wiping tears from her eyes.

Nia, who knew what was happening, just smiled and let the second bolt vaporize her. Yet again, she rose from the shadows like a phoenix.

The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth bolts came, but she didn’t even pay attention to her defense, since she was dying yet coming back like she and the death had agreed on her not dying…

One had to give it to the heavens.

The fact that they couldn’t do anything to her simply because she was using shadow spawn to trick them was enough to show how powerful her bloodline had been tempered, thanks to Klaus’s Star Monarch blood.

Then she turned to the one with blue hair. “And you shall be known as Axis, Shadow of Space.”

They nodded and then turned toward her sisters, smiling. The shadows did the same, making Queenie and her sisters unsure how to handle this sight.

However, Nia smiled and made her shadows move after her. They melded into the shadow and appeared behind Anna.

“Where are they?” Anna asked.

“BOOP.”

Nia tapped her shoulder, causing her to jump in fright. Anna couldn’t even sense her when she appeared behind it, which was frightening.

When Anna turned and saw Nia and her two shadows laughing, she couldn’t help but freeze all three in thick ice.

However, the next second, Nia and her shadows appeared again, this time before Anna and all three of her sisters, while the three ice blocks still stood behind them.

“What in the world?” Lucy, Queenie, and Anna shouted, watching this bizarre sight. Nia and her shadows, which were supposed to be frozen in ice, were now standing before them, yet they were still frozen in ice.

“How—” Queenie asked.

“Meet Chronis and Axis, my shadows,” Nia laughed.
