Chapter 3003: Quaking Epoch
To say that that day had been one of the most stressful days of Emperor Rael’s entire life was not an exaggeration.

Never before in his entire life had he found himself at such a critical juncture with such astronomical stakes, with little influence or control over the outcome. Even when the East Panamic Treaty Alliance had decided to destroy the Kandrian Empire in the Great East Panamic War, he hadn’t felt as helpless and pressured as he was now.

The fate of the entire world hinged on the battle between the Martial Sages and the Beast That Roared, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Nothing beyond trusting the Martial Sages of human civilization and his son.

He sat at the table in his Royal Office, unable to even focus on the variety of intelligence reports and documents at his table, as well as the other legislative paperwork that he needed to get to.

The Royal Palace of Vargard was relatively tranquil, far away from the battlefield of the Beast Incursion. It was illuminated by the warm light of the morning Sun, and yet, it could scarcely lift his spirits on the day of the battle would decide the future of human civilization.

Not even the Emperor of Harmony was able to maintain his composure completely.

Things were even worse for leaders of the other nation who didn’t have nations that were as secure and powerful as the Kandrian Empire was. He had no doubt that these nations were drowned in dread in regards to what was to unfold within the depths of the Beast Domain.

The past seventeen years of the Beast Incursion and the Era of Darkness had culminated in one final decisive battle that would decide the very future of not only human civilization but also the entire world.

And then, it began.

A flood of Water consumed the entire world in a violent torrent, sweeping over the entire continent and consuming even the Great Nam Ocean.

It was an illusion.

And yet, it was real enough to drown all of human civilization in a dreaded panic.

Emperor Rael’s powerful golden eyes glinted with an expectant expression even as the whirlpool of Water subsumed all of heaven and earth, flooding the Royal Office and all of Kandria.

“The battle has begun.”

His tone was ominous.

The air grew heavy with tension.

The atmosphere tingled with peril.

Human civilization had grown accustomed to the wide-scale Martial Embodiment that Rui unleashed when he used one of his most powerful trump cards. The Martial Embodiment was a sign that he had activated his full power, unleashing his greatest power against the greatest enemy of human civilization.

All of civilization ground to a halt as the Martial Embodiment ravaged the very world.

Under ordinary circumstances, it would have genocided all of human civilization and most of life across the entire civilization. However, the Beast Domain was highly insulating to information flux, bleeding almost all the intensity of the hypnotic illusion by the time it reached human civilization.

The Emperor of Harmony narrowed his eyes.

“Now we wait.”

And wait, they did.

All of human civilization came to a halt while the Martial Embodiment washed over the entire world. The entire world was consumed by Water, while people were rendered unable to engage in daily life due to the hypnotic illusion.

However, thankfully, it wasn’t just human civilization that was negatively affected.

The entirety of the Beast Incursion also scrambled under the weight of the tremendous tsunami of Water that emerged from within the depths of the Beast Domain, halting its assault on human civilization. Most of the creatures on land weren’t comfortable or evolved for an environment of torrential floods.

Unlike humans, they were unable to distinguish that they were suffering under powerful illusions emerging from the very depths of the Beast Domain.

The entire continent was virtually incapacitated.

The floods lasted longer than they ever had before, indicating to the leaders of human civilization that the battle persisted despite the Dawnbringer deploying his greatest weapon and trump card against their common enemy.

Emperor Rael’s golden eyes grew a little grave.

It didn’t bode well that Rui was forced to use that power for this long.

And yet, what followed was beyond his wildest fathoming.

It exceeded anything the Emperor of Harmony could have ever dreamed of as possible.

A tremor reverberating across the very fabric of space and time shook the entire world as manifold Unfolded. Emperor Rael’s eyes widened with shock as he felt a chill crawl across his skin and a dreadful horror consume every instinct in his body.

“What’s happening…?” his powerful voice betrayed a hint of uncertainty as the very fabric of reality seemed to shift.

He could almost feel the ground beneath his feet uncurling.

He could almost feel the heavens shifting in a maelstrom of chaos.

It was as though the continent was unbending itself.

As though he were living on a sphere his entire life, only to finally actually set foot on flat land for the first time in his entire life.

It exceeded his ability to even parse, as the strange sensations that he experienced from the bizarre anomaly made him feel dizzy. As though the world was changing into something that he wasn’t evolved for.

He stood unsteadily, grabbing his table for support as his expression crumpled with grave severity.

He had seen many things as Emperor.

And yet, in the very depths of his heart and soul, he knew that what they were experiencing was unlike anything that the world had seen before.

“Your Majesty!” A Martial Master barged into his quaking office, his expression growing aghast. “The world! It’s… It’s unfolding!”

Even as the world shook from the anomalous changes to the very fabric of reality, the air grew heavy with tension as the Emperor of Harmony stared at the Martial Master with a grave expression.

The atmosphere tingled with severe peril even as the very fabric of reality seemed to be changing.

It shook violently as the very fabric of reality seemed to come undone.

The seams that seemed to keep the heaven and earth stitched into a single planet came increasingly undone.

Reverberations across all mediums of reality roared across the entire planet as an anomaly unlike anything anybody had ever seen seemed to have enveloped the entire world and beyond.

Many instinctively sensed the sheer magnitude of the revelation unfolding before their very eyes, consuming every inch of the world and their very beings. Beasts, monsters, and humans alike quivered in fear of what was to come as the Unfolding consumed the entire world.
