The Martial Unity - Chapter 3008
Chapter 3008: No Matter What
His warning to the Ministers of the executive government was tense.
And yet, he was right.
They had no idea what they were dealing with, and that meant that they needed to remain on the very highest of alert until they deduced everything that they understood about what had happened and how it affected them in the short, medium, and long term.
“For now, continue monitoring the environment, the people, and the beasts and monsters with the highest degree of alertness possible,” the Emperor of Harmony remarked with a serious tone as he got up from his seat. “Have the Director of Intelligence prepare a complete summary presentation of all the less significant minutia for me later on, covering the full extent of all the changes that have occurred. For now…”
His eyes sharpened as he departed from the Royal Office, followed by the Royal Secretary and several Martial Masters. “…I have an emergency conference to lead.”
CLACK
He departed from his office with a severe expression.
The air in the Royal Palace was suffocatingly heavy as the unknowns of the anomaly bore heavily on leaders around the world to ensure that they were on top of the matter as soon as possible.
While the Emperor of Harmony didn’t have rioting citizens, he was still the bona fide leader of human civilization and the man that all of mankind looked to for their future.
That burden bore on him very heavily.
The only information that the Kandrian Empire had on the current anomaly was a varying degree of environmental data. Their shockingly functional satellites, whose surveillance was exclusively concentrated on the oceans and the Panama Continent, revealed a variety of environmental and ecological changes in heaven and earth and in the waters.
Countless changes from the most major ones like the night-to-day, the curvature of the planet, the changes in the distribution of light, and the complete conclusion to the Beast Incursion, to endless minor ones, more than he could have ever hoped to have read in the span of a few hours.
What it all meant was beyond anybody’s understanding at that moment. The sheer volume of environmental data that they had gathered was so enormous that even processing all of it was almost impossible.
There was so much happening, and yet no one had even the slightest fathoming of what it all even meant.
The only thing they knew was that if there was a threat, then they were unable to even immediately detect it.
STEP
He arrived at a spacious, extravagant conference room in the Royal Palace, occupied by a technical team that had just hurriedly finished setting up the conference portals for an emergency conference with all Sage-level nations in the world.
The technical team hurried upon the entry of the Emperor of Harmony, completing the final preparations even as the hasty Emperor took a seat at the conference table in the center of the room, gazing at an esoteric crystal embedded within an artifact before him.
Soon enough, all the preparations were complete.
“Commence the virtual conference.”
Emperor Rael’s tone was heavy.
VMMM…
The esoteric device began glowing with power before coming to life.
In the blink of an eye, dozens of seated figures were projected across the empty seats across the vast, expansive conference table occupying much of the conference room.
The tension in the air was palpable.
It tingled the nerves electrically.
The atmosphere was dark.
Severe.
Each and every single one of the leaders of human civilization was grim.
Their expressions were crumpled with grave anxiety.

Their body language spoke to the terror that gripped their hearts. A profound fear that they buried deep within them, that they were unwilling to show to the entire world.
“We don’t have time to waste on formalities.”
Emperor Rael’s tone was heavy.
His powerful golden eyes flared with a profound intensity as they swept across each and every Sage-level leader in the conference call.
“We are here to discuss the anomalous event that has occurred merely four hours ago, encompassing the entire planet,” Emperor Rael immediately commenced the meeting with a severe tone. “We have already shared intelligence through the Solution of Harmony shared intelligence database, and the collective knowledge that human civilization has on this anomalous event is still limited. However, I believe that we should coordinate security measures and surveillance operations to gather as much information as we possibly can. Depending on whether the Beast Incursion remains gone or returns, we may be able to deploy our restored Martial capital by exploring the changes to our continent that have happened manually. Additionally, we will be able to gain more insights from the Martial Sages once they are available once more. I strongly suspect that the events at the very epicenter of the Beast Domain are connected with the events that happened between the battles between the Martial Sages and the Beast That Roared.”
This was not a difficult deduction to make.
After all, the anomaly closely aligned with the disappearance of the Dawnbringer’s Water Martial Embodiment that flooded the continent, which in itself aligned with the roar of the Beast That Roared.
An eerie overlap that not a single person could dismiss as a coincidence.
Whatever this unfathomable anomaly was, it was most certainly to be connected with the final battle.
At the current moment, not a single soul had any idea what the status of the Martial Sages was.
After all, the epicenter of the Beast Domain was drowned in absolute darkness.
The disappearance of Rui’s Martial Embodiment could have meant many things.
The first and the most desired possibility was that the Martial Sages, led by the Dawnbringer, had simply dominated the battle and cleanly won, causing the Martial Embodiment to disappear when they shut down their Realms of power.
Every other possibility was a grave sign of the destruction of human civilization.
If the Dawnbringer, of all people, had run out of stamina, then it could only mean all other Martial Sages were already done or dead.
The worst possible scenario was that the Dawnbringer and all the other Martial Sages had been wiped out by the Beast That Roared, after which it roared the roar that they had all heard and halted the Beast Incursion to activate something even more dangerous.
“…We don’t know,” the Emperor of Harmony’s expression crumpled with grave severity. “We simply don’t know. But no matter what…”
His eyes flared with fierce conviction.
“We will fight. We will fight to our last breath to defend human civilization.”
