Chapter 3083: Converging Others
The successful defense from the invasion of the tekvores caused the leaders of human civilization to heave a sigh of relief. The news of a thorough invasion had inspired terror in many a polity, especially of those nations closest to the Esocline Federation. The invading force contained enough firepower to annihilate any ordinary Sage-level powerhouse, making human civilization’s doom an almost guaranteed certainty under normal circumstances.

There was only one reason that such an outcome had not unfolded.

“The Emperor of Harmony was right.”

It was a collective realization that they had had.

If not for the Emperor of Harmony’s decision to unilaterally usurp all Sages and absorb them into the Kandrian Empire, the Esocline Federation would undoubtedly have been destroyed or captured.

This was a chilling realization.

The destruction of the Esocline Federation would begin the countdown for the destruction of human civilization, for it had about seventy percent of all satellites launched by human civilization.

Its destruction would mean the complete halting of communication that webbed most of human civilization together with cheap, high-speed, and high-bandwidth communication across the entire continent.

It would have also allowed their enemies to gain a stronghold on the continent, making their imperialistic efforts much easier.

The dissatisfaction that many nations and rulers had with the Kandrian Empire and the Emperor of Harmony was cut in half the very moment they realized the horrors that could have been, if not for the Emperor of Harmony doing what he had done.

While it was hardly pleasant to surrender so much power to a single man, the Emperor of Harmony was infinitely more preferable to the enemies of human civilization. For what it was worth, he actually lived up to his words and deployed a whopping sixty Martial Sages, which would have been impossible to do otherwise.

What was more significant to everybody was the fact that not even sixty Martial Sages, along with a Transcendent Candidate had been enough to crush the invasion force like they would have imagined.

They were dealing with an extraordinarily powerful civilization that was clearly more powerful than any individual nation in human civilization.

“…To think that a single one of their elite tekvores is equivalent to a high-grade Martial Sage, on average.”

Emperor Rael’s voice was severe.

The light of dawn illuminated the Royal Office as he exhaled deeply, reckoning with the fact that the tekvores were individually even more powerful than he had expected. His hopes had been that the tekvore that had attacked them was one of the strongest tekvores of Imperial Tekvorian Federation.

That would have explained why he has chosen to do something as rash as mount an attack upon human civilization all by himself.

However, the data from the battle report revealed that he most likely was not especially strong among his peers who fought with Sages sent to protect Esocline Federation.

“This…” his expression crumpled with severity. “This does not bode well.”

He had hoped that with the World Bridge System, human civilization’s effective power would have risen to a level so high that it would be unthinkable for human civilization to possibly conquered.

When he sent sixty Martial Sages after learning of the twenty extraordinary energy signatures among the invading force of the Imperial Tekvorian Federation, he hadn’t expected a stalemate battle.

He had expected the Martial Sages to utter dominate and demolish their enemies with a three-to-one advantage.

“But to think that they just barely managed to rival their enemies…” his golden eyes grew incredibly severe.

Words couldn’t describe just how incredibly horrifying that revelation was.

He used to regard Martial Sages as the most perfect combat assets with peerless combat power.

No beast nor siege weapon could take them on one on one, save extreme exceptions.

And today, that illusion was shattered.

The tekvores, who were inseparable with technology were clearly a cut above Martial Sages and perhaps even Martial Artists as a whole.

However, not everything they learned was bad news.

“They have weaknesses,” the Emperor of Harmony skimmed through the various reports and analyses on the battle report. “High energy consumption. Heat constraints. And their lack of autonomy and dependence on aircrafts make launching invasions extremely tricky.”

Having gone through all the data, reports, and analyses, the Emperor of Harmony came to conclude one thing with great certainty.

“They are undoubtedly going to change gears and adopt a long-term strategy towards building up an invasion upon the Panama Continent.”

There was no doubt about this.

It was possible that they would return with even greater forces. However, it was truly impossible to imagine that they could conduct an all-out invasion into the Panama Continent by manually traveling back and forth between the Acherialis Continent and the Panama Continent.

“In which case…” his golden eyes sharpened with a knowing expression. “They will most likely aim to set up a military base of operations closer to the Esocline Federation.”

With that, he could further build upon the course of actions available to them.

“One of the islands of the island belt,” the Emperor of Harmony mused. “Or perhaps a manual base of operations further out in the Great Nam Ocean. Regardless…”

His tone grew intense.

“We can’t allow them to get closer to the Panama Continent.”

The second they solved the logistical inconvenience of traveling back and forth from the Acherialis Continent and the Panama Continent, they would be able to mount more sustained and continuous invasion attempts to conquer the Esocline Federation.

Unfortunately for him, he didn’t have the leeway to care about their long-term plans immediately.

BZZZT BZZZT BZZZT!

His commpad began buzzing with alarm as several new emergency notifications drew his attention.a

What he saw sent chills across his skin.

Five new true-world convoys had begun heading towards the Panama Continent from the other five continents across the true world.

His expression crumbled with grave severity as satellite feeds displayed vessels, some airborne and some seaborne, heading towards the Panama Continent at varying speeds with sizable numbers.

Human civilization immediately began mobilizing as the others converged upon their land.
