The Primordial Record - Chapter 1431
Chapter 1431: Boost In Potential
Vraegar and Andar awakened at nearly the same time, and they looked at each other with amazement in their eyes before their senses spread around the table. The experience of falling into a slumber after luxuriating in that heavenly taste was unique and one that did not think they could ever experience anywhere else but here.
They noticed that Eva was by the opened window looking at the darkness, except for the streaks of purple that flowed around her, waves of unseen current that maintained a domain around her figure, she resembled a shadow. She seemed to sense their gaze and smiled at them before looking back into the darkness, there was something about her presence that seemed eerily lonely.
Then there was Staff who was curled up on the floor as if she was sleeping, but a halo of bright white light surrounded her figure and was pulsing with so much power that she should have been burning brighter than the sun, but a thin golden shield covered her up, isolating all the energy, making sure that she absorbed every one of them, beside her was Cloudy and Archimedes sleeping peacefully, there was something about the light being emitted from the body of Staff that made them draw closer to her even as they slept, and it was a good thing that the shield existed over her form, else they would both be ash.
There were also distinct pale glows emitting from their flesh that were being reabsorbed as they were breathing, and Andar could sense the energy from that wine inside that glow. He felt something in his hand and looked down to see the wooden cup he was holding crumble to ash.
Circe was mysteriously missing, and Andar suspected that she had not even fallen into slumber after she drank her wine, which was rather telling because she was still a lesser immortal and had not yet walked the higher dimensional path. Every time he saw her, her presence became increasingly enigmatic, and he did not know what to make of her. However, he knew that she was linked to Rowan, and the mysteries surrounding his father were endless, and he tried not to be surprised by any new one that he discovered.
Vraegar tapped Andar with his claws, looking confused, “Hey, did you notice any new changes in your body? They all seemed to have benefited, yet I think we just had a nap. Pleasant though it might be, certainly seems unfair if you think about it. What about us?”
Andar had, in fact, been checking his body after seeing the state of Staff alongside Cloudy and Archimedes, but he could not see anything different about his constitution; he was the same as he was before he took the wine, and this was the third time he had checked his body and soul and saw no difference.
Suddenly, he was aware of the presence of Rowan, who was standing by the far wall and scrawling words and diagrams on it using his finger, and at the same time, he was aware of his presence, and so was Vraegar. They both looked at each other before staring towards the wall at what Rowan was scribbling down.
The words should have been easy to decipher yet it was not, written in a language that they could understand, yet the two of them were unable to wrap their minds around what they were seeing, but they instinctively knew that Rowan was building something from nothing, and until he finished the last stroke, they would be unable to understand what he was placing down.
Settling down to follow his hands because there seemed to be a magical pattern to the motion of it, they were soon lost in reverie but the voice of Rowan dragged them out of it.
“The reason there are no changes in your bodies is because of your bloodline,” Rowan called out as he continued writing, “You two seemed to forget that although you have my blood, you do not follow my path, and you have barely begun to scrape the foundations of your potential. Emithe simply scraped some more of those hidden depths and presented them to you, but your consciousnesses are still too weak to notice them.”
Andar’s breathe caught in his throat as he thought about what Rowan might have meant, but it seemed like madness, almost impossible; what Rowan was referring to should be an expanding of potential, far greater than any ascension or evolution could bring, all from a single cup of wine?
“Yes, your thoughts are quite correct. There are no changes in your bodies, but your bloodline connection with mine has deepened, and because this connection with me is active and I have not blocked any of its path to you, what you are benefiting comes from the current state of my being which was vastly greater than when I first gave you my blood. If you want to, you can gain an extra path, even two, if you push for it. You are a Magus, but if you want to become a Dominator or fuse with another bloodline, even a Primordial bloodline, it is now possible. Even you too, Vraegar, if you wanted, you could become a Magus, share the same Meditation Art as Andar, and push your powers to new heights.”
Silence reigned for a while, only interrupted by the scratching sound of Rowan’s finger as he continued writing on the wall. He expected them to deliberate on the matter for a while, but Vraegar’s next words surprised him because even in the second possible path in reality, Vraegar had said the same thing; it was rare that this son of his was this focused.
Due to the effect of the Supreme Circle that he kept permanently around his body, he could see another possible variation of reality around him, but this was a secret that he did not need to tell anyone about. It was an interesting thing to watch the possible response the others give, and the possible path that the future might bring. If he activated the nine Supreme Circles that he had created then he would be witnessing ten possibilities at once, a truly novel idea, but one that he shelved aside for now.
“Father, I could become a Magus, but this is not what you would want for us. I have learned that what others consider to be extraordinary, you see as mediocre. What should we do with this gift, because there should be a deeper purpose for granting us this boon.”
At those words, Rowan smiled, “I told you all that your light shines bright, and I know you do not believe me yet because of the monsters you have faced and the levels that I have grown to occupy. I cannot allow you all to fight monsters without giving you the tools you need to succeed. I will tell you what I have in mind when the others awaken, and it won’t be long now. Rest for a few moments before we begin.”

“There is a reason why I am this powerful, why from the moment of my birth I have always stood above the masses, and that reason is centered at the core of my being, but this is a talent I cannot share. You are either born with it or you are not. The last battle I fought on Doom Star was against a foe that was just like me. You might know of the name on Trion, but its roots extend deeper than that world, and the name of this talent I am is a Breaker! I do not have the full answer to what this talent signifies, but I intend to be finding it soon.”
Rowan began his plan by revealing secrets that he felt were integral to the true state of existence to those here with him, including Circe and Archimedes, the others might not know this, but Diane his handmaiden was also present, she had taken a cup of wine also, and except for Eva, none knew she was here.
Also in this room were Lost and Tenma, also partaking of this wine, but they were kept separated, and each of the groups here was not aware of the presence of the other.
Rowan did this because he wanted to test out certain speculations he had in mind, and for that to be possible, then he needed this separation.
