The Primordial Record - Chapter 1479
Chapter 1479: I Can Kill Old Ones
Rowan’s dimensional soul opened his eyes in the past and peered into the distance to find his dimensional flesh battling against Drakul, he had reached the precise moment that he chosed.
Traveling to the past was not an exact science especially with the added complication where he had to partition his memories and abilities in a manner that would both deceive his enemies and still obey some of the fundamental rules of reality.
He sighed and looked away from the battle as the knowledge of the Primordials and the truth about their existence was a shock to his system, coupled with the Ascension to the sixth-dimensional level of his soul, and yet it was astounding that at the moment his dimensional flesh was at the fifth dimensional level, while his soul was presently stronger, and he intended to keep it this way.
The intuition of his main body was extremely powerful, and his soul would have to be extremely careful for the next year so that the secret of his Ascension would not be deciphered, or else the consequences would mean his death.
If it was worth it, the dimensional soul would be willing to pay this price, but that was not his mission.
He could change the present discrepancy that existed between his body and soul if he shared this information with his present body, but the greatest advantage of the Memory dimension was how easily all of this power could be partitioned to the time/space continuum that it was needed.
He was not here to change the future, not when his main body was still inside the Memory of Primordial Life, such an act would be easily detected by the Primordial, and he would be risking his body for no benefit, instead, he was here to find the truth.
This was not even adding to the fact that the only reason he could share his power with the past of his soul was tied to the fact that he was not going to be changing the future of his body because this change depended on the knowledge he had gained from a Primordial.
If he did this, then it would be like opening a backdoor for Primordial Life to understand Rowan’s abilities.
Rowan was the only one in reality who was not just able to see into the past, but he could also see the future, and despite how expensive it was to travel to this position in time, this was a cost that he was able to bear.
He shuddered as he lost every single iota of his Aether and Essence that were stored inside his soul, and even that was not enough, massive piles of soul crystals were consumed in their billions, and when the suctioning of his resources was over, he was left with less than a fraction of his impressive wealth.
For the first time in a while, Rowan was left with soul crystals in the single digits, anymore and there would have been nothing left of him to collect and then he would have began to cannibalize his soul for energy.
He had paid such a great price, and that was just him only changing the past/future of his dimensional soul, if he attempts to change the future of his dimensional flesh at this moment, the cost alone would kill him.
There could still be other methods that he might use to fool reality in order to alert his main body of what was to come, but that would be too risky.
Rowan could send his Reflections to the past/future, but that technique was losing its relevance to him due to the fact that his Reflections would have to be at the third dimensional level, and they would not be aware of his presence, and with the enormous risks of discovery involved, Rowan was not planning to repeat that experiment any time in the future.
Doom Star was a closed off environment, and so Rowan could control a lot of the outcomes, ensuring that no one was able to prey on the weakness of his Reflections, he would hardly be finding such a place again.
Also without access to higher dimensional powers on the fly, the information gathered by his Reflections would be next to useless.
The dimensional soul closed his eyes and waited and before long the storehouse of soul crystals began to multiply inside his coffers, all tinged with red, clearly from the soul of Drakul that his main body was killing with the aid of his Origin bloodline, Serathis
With his increased understanding of Memory, Rowan knew that he had just struck this Old One a great blow, one that would be extremely hard to recover from.
Regaining back all the lost soul power would be very difficult, and it was possible that Drakul might never recover, because Serathis was collecting too much from this ancient vampire, not just his soul, but also his Memories and Fate as well, and it was extremely likely that this Old One might fall from his position if he was unlucky.
The power of the soul could be recultivated, but his Fate and Memories were unique resources that was impossible to be regained, he could only make new ones, and there was no guarantee that they would be equal to what he had lost, some Memories were priceless, and Serathis was collecting all of that power.
This finding stunned Rowan, he had not understood the full power of Serathis when he used it, but now at a higher dimensional level, the powers of his Origin Bloodline were slowly being uncovered,
“With Serathis alone, I can kill Old Ones.”
To do this he would have to kill a single Old One multiple times, but this was with his bloodline unawakened, what would happen if he fully unlocks his Origin Bloodline?
The amount of energy he needed for the next step of his journey was achieved and he did not wait, the Dimensional Soul tore space apart as he headed towards the Nothingness.
