After Alexi ended the call, he became flustered and quickly looked online to see what was going on. To his dismay, he found that everyone was talking negatively about him. Fortunately, he hadn’t mentioned his name during the call, sparing himself some embarrassment.

He only needed to dispose of the spare phone and pretend that he hadn’t done anything during his break. So, he walked back to his chair and resumed reading his script until his assistant returned.

When his assistant returned with the gift he purchased, Alexi instructed him to check his call logs. His heart skipped a beat when his assistant mentioned that Minerva had called him ten times on his personal phone.

“Call Minerva back using my phone and inform her that I’m occupied with acting in the studio, also, don’t forget to apologize about my phone being in do not disturb mode. Record videos and take pictures of me as I go about my tasks, then send them to Minerva. And remember, you never left my side and have always been in possession of my phone,” he instructed his assistant with a firm glare.

His assistant, intimidated by the intensity of Alexi’s gaze, could only manage a timid nod in response. As if an understanding dawning upon him, when he was on his way back, he heard someone talking about Hera’s interview so he went online to check the buzz.

As the assistant suspected, there was indeed a storm brewing online regarding Hera. Upon investigation, he quickly understood the reason behind Alexi’s distressed demeanor. Understanding the stakes involved as Alexi’s assistant, he resolved to shield Alexi from any potential fallout. With meticulous care, he recorded a video of Alexi passionately portraying his character on set and snapped a photo of him engrossed in his script while seated.

Then he constructed a post in his own account tagging Alexi and Minerva.

Then he attached the photos and videos he took just now and posted them. Only when it was posted did he sigh his nervousness, he could only hope that Alexi’s fans would do their best and help out their idol.

Hera put down her phone after the call had ended, and was now looking at the audience and the host with an apologetic smile she added. “I’m sorry everyone, I did not intend for everyone to hear our shenanigans. Let’s just go back to the evidence, shall we?”

The host shot her a knowing smile and said. “Was that your ex? Why does he sound familiar?”

Hera shot her an awkward smile. “He is. I hear that a lot about his voice.”

The host gave Hera a warm smile. “What evidence are you presenting?”

Hera tapped a few times on her phone and then gave it to the crew to show the camera the content.

“You see, my boyfriend and I had moved to that apartment last year and the receipt of the rent and bills are all in my name. But I guess this alone will not prove anything so I took the recording from our camera connected to the living room and I asked for a copy of the surveillance camera of our hallway.”

The crew eagerly connected Hera’s phone to the laptop they had brought, preparing to play the recordings. To ensure that both the host and Hera remained visible to the viewers, they set up a split-screen display to play the recordings alongside the ongoing conversation.

Upon hearing that Hera would play a recording, Minerva was jolted from her frenzy and began to feel deeply anxious. She has always been screwing Alexi in their shared apartment because she felt superior to Hera knowing that her boyfriend is feeling good in her embrace while she worked tirelessly to provide for him. Now, the prospect of her deception being revealed left her trembling with apprehension.

In a state of agitation and despair, Minerva tearfully called her brother, her voice choked with emotion. “Big Brother,” she sobbed, struggling to articulate her distress. “Please, if you have to, drag her from the interview. My reputation will be destroyed…” Her sobs grew louder, drowning out her words. “I don’t know how I’ll face my friends if she tarnishes my name. Huhuhu…”

Rafael found himself at a loss for how to handle his unruly sister. A surge of headache pounded against his temples, prompting him to massage them as he listened to her on the phone. “Tell me,” he said, frustration evident in his voice. “Why did you go to such lengths to destroy her when you’re the one who stole her boyfriend?”

Minerva choked on the lump in her throat, unsure of how to respond to her brother’s questioning. She sensed his restrained anger through the phone line. “I’m sorry, big brother,” she stammered, her voice wavering. “I was just afraid she’d blackmail me and ruin my reputation. I was scared, please help me, okay? I really love Alexi.”

“Hmph! Love? He’s clearly using your sorry ass to climb up the ladder. Didn’t you hear what he said on the livestream?”

“Big brother, how could you talk to me that way?!” Minerva shouted.

“What?! I can’t even lecture my immature sister? Then handle this problem on your own!”

“I’m sorry big brother, please help me?”

“I’ll try, but you better prepare yourself after this.”

Just the tone of Rafael’s anger was enough to send a chill down her spine. She wasn’t afraid of her parents, but her brother was a different story. Hot-headed and easily triggered, once he was angry, he was like a lion whose tail had been stepped on.

Rafael left his office and instructed his assistant to find out Hera’s location and phone number.

As the second largest entertainment company in the country, Rafael wielded considerable power and had extensive connections.

Usually, a single call would yield the information he needed within 5 minutes. However, it had been 30 minutes, and he was still waiting. Rafael sat in his car, watching Hera on the livestream, well aware of what the recording on the screen was showing.

So far, the recording only depicted Hera’s routine entries and exits from the room. Even when her boyfriend appeared on camera, his face was blurred, leaving Rafael with a favorable impression of Hera.

Her intention was solely to clear her name without implicating anyone else. Rafael’s frustration with his sister intensified due to the trouble she was causing for the family.

Before long, the recording progressed to the day of the incident.

“Sir, we’ve received information from the TV station indicating that the crew was invited to the Dragon Jade Building for the interview.”

Rafael raised his eyes to meet his assistant’s gaze, surprise evident on his face. With a newfound understanding of why they struggled to locate Hera, a grin played at the corners of his lips, betraying a medley of emotions.

The driver maintained a steady speed on the road, sensing the urgency of the situation without needing explicit instructions from his boss. He understood that this was a matter concerning their family’s reputation, and he navigated the vehicle with precision and focus.

On the live stream, the scene unfolding showed Hera’s arrival on the fifth floor, where she was met with the watchful eyes of the bodyguards. The tension in the air was palpable as she hurriedly made her way into her apartment, clearly feeling uneasy under their scrutinizing gaze.

The scene transitioned to Hera’s arrival inside her apartment, where her eyes fell upon the cluttered clothes strewn across the floor.
