Chapter 261: Chapter 261 Logan’s Transformation 3
[Hera: Well, Alice and Minerva already contracted him to Rafael’s company. So I guess he would be rising to fame sooner.]
[Athena: (⊙_☉;;) (⊙_⊙)]
[Athena: That doesn’t sound good, does it?!]
[Athena: Will the storyline go back to track in Alice’s favor then?]
[Hera: I don’t know, we’ll have to find out.]
[Athena: If there’s something you are not sure, just ask me. Maybe I can help.]
[Hera: Alright, I got it.]
[Hera: Thanks!]
Hera didn’t know how long she had been glued to her phone. After informing Athena about Lucas and Logan, she also started chatting with Betty about Logan. Though she had just met Logan, she felt he wasn’t really a complicated person and wasn’t inherently bad. Reflecting on the novel’s trajectory, Hera believed there must have been something that pushed Logan to become what he was in the story.
Besides, just thinking about Minerva and Alice and their characters, she couldn’t fully trust what was written in the novel anymore. Their quick closeness to Lucas suggested they were birds of a feather, and perhaps Lucas was also an opportunist.
If that were the case, Hera’s priority should be covering all bases to protect Logan. Even though she wasn’t directly managing UE, the company still fell under her banner. Therefore, protecting Logan meant safeguarding her own people and their interests.
[Hera: Betty, once the styling is done, I’ll purchase some clothes for Logan that match his new style. You and the Director can focus on your tasks to complete the process and registrations. What do you think?]
[Betty: That sounds like a good plan. Make sure to use the company credit card for the purchase, as it’s part of his resources according to the contract. Also, while we’re on the topic, don’t forget to get yourself some clothes too. You should take advantage of the benefits the company provides.]
[Hera: Oh?! I thought you were on the company’s side? Wouldn’t me spending the company’s money mean saving money for the company and ultimately benefiting the management?]
[Betty: I’m always on the side of my artist, of course. ]
[Hera: \(^ o ^)/]
[Hera: Alright, I’ll treat myself and Logan to shopping using the company card this afternoon. Don’t come crying to me if I spend too much. (` ∇´) ψ]
[Hera: Do we have a spending limit?]
[Betty: My ancestor, be merciful to your subject. m( _ _ )m]
[Betty: According to your contracts, both you and Logan can spend $1 million each, with an additional $500,000 available for you. If you achieve a certain goal within six months of signing, the company will consider providing you with the same or a larger spending limit for the following year.]
[Hera: Alright, I’ll explain this to Logan so he won’t feel overwhelmed or scared for nothing]
[Hera: While we’re on the topic, I also suggest registering all of Logan’s songs under his name as soon as possible and arranging for him to move into the dormitory ASAP.]
[Betty: What’s with the rush?]
[Betty: We have plenty of time doing it before the music awards.]
[Hera: I just feel like we should. It’s for his protection and any piracy issue]
[Betty: What, you suspect that someone would pirate his songs?]
[Hera: Not really, but I just wanted to make sure that my junior would not be wrong in any way.]
[Betty: (✿◠‿◠) (♡°▽°♡)]
[Betty: Alright! I’ll listen to you.]
[Betty: I’ll talk about this with the Music Director, he was more familiar with the process and could finish it soon.]

[Hera: Also…]
[Betty: What? There’s more?]
[Betty: I feel like you just became the new CEO of UE with how you handle things. (¬‿¬)]
[Hera: Well, better to be prepared than cry after, wouldn’t you agree?]
[Betty: Alright, then shoot.]
[Hera: We should start recording his songs soon, even if they’re a bit amateurish, and timestamp them.]
[Betty: Tell me honestly, are we dealing with a piracy issue here?]
[Betty: Who copied who?]
[Hera: No, I’m not really thinking about it, but we should establish this process as a habit to protect our artists. Even if there’s no issue now, what about in the future? Shouldn’t we be proactive about finding solutions before problems arise?]
[Betty: ….]
[Betty: That makes sense. Don’t worry, the Director is excellent at his job and likely already has plans in motion for this. I’ll still bring it up with him to ensure we haven’t overlooked anything.]
[Betty: Thank you for the reminder.]
[Hera: No worries]
“Oh!”
A surprised gasp made Hera look up from her phone. She had been texting for quite some time and hadn’t paid attention to her surroundings, especially since the three of them were the only people there.
When she looked up, Hera saw Sandra gazing at a tall man with the excitement of a young girl who had just found a new doll to play with; her eyes were literally sparkling. Hera followed Sandra’s gaze to Logan, who sported a new hairstyle with bangs cut short into a stylish, slightly wavy “M” shape in the middle of his forehead.
His smooth hair was also permed to have a slight wave to give it more volume and add some liveliness and allure.
Sandra’s instincts were spot on; after removing Logan’s eyeglasses, he looked so handsome that he could easily rival Xavier in looks.
His jade-like pale skin was healthy and glowing, devoid of any blemishes or facial hair. It looked as soft as a baby’s skin, and his eyes had a siren-like allure—seductive and charming. What truly captivated attention was the heterochromia: one eye gleamed golden like Luke’s, while the other was a striking ruby, just like Xavier’s.
His eyes exuded a soulful and captivating charm, and his facial structure was delicate, reminiscent of Zhane’s, giving him a slightly feminine allure. Hera approached Logan to get a closer look at his handsome face. He surpassed Lucas in appearance; his refined features and striking gaze seemed more fitting for the character who won numerous awards in the novel for his exceptional talents and looks. The Lucas Freed of the future.
Only if not for Logan’s Heterochromia, she would really think that there was some mistaken identity here.
“My goodness, Logan, you look amazing!” Hera exclaimed as she examined Logan from head to toe. He appeared visibly shy, occasionally attempting to cover his eyes as he felt uncomfortable without his glasses.
His face flushed red, which Hera noticed immediately. “Are you feeling shy because of your eyes?” she asked softly, a little concerned.
Logan hesitated for a moment before nodding.
“What?!” Hera and Sandra exclaimed simultaneously.
“You can’t be serious, right?!” Sandra exclaimed. Logan looked at her with a hurt expression on his face.
“Logan, do you dislike your eyes?” Hera asked gently, tilting her head slightly in confusion.
Logan nodded again, this time more emphatically.
“Why? They look absolutely beautiful!” Hera exclaimed, with Sandra nodding in agreement beside her as she gazed at Logan again.
Logan looked stunned after hearing Hera’s words. Growing up, he often heard other kids making fun of him because of his eyes, calling him a monster or demon spawn due to his red eye. He was frequently excluded from events and gatherings because people were afraid of him. No one had ever called him good-looking; instead, they labeled him as scary or monstrous.
So, he always believed that he really was one. He long tried to cover his eyes by wearing contact lenses, but they often irritated his eyes, causing intense pain the next day. As a result, he switched to wearing thick glasses instead.
“Senior, you’re too kind,” he said, finding it hard to believe Hera’s words, thinking she was merely being compassionate and didn’t want to hurt his feelings further.
Hera looked at him with wide eyes. “You don’t believe me, do you?”
Logan remained silent, his lips pressed tightly together. He didn’t want to disappoint Hera, yet he struggled to accept that she might genuinely mean what she said, and was just trying to comfort him.
Hera sighed and proposed, “How about this, we’ll go buy some clothes after this, how about not wearing your glass this time and see how others would react? If you do not do what I say, I will not talk to you anymore and if I was really wrong, I will stop bothering you and let you do what you are comfortable with.”
Hearing Hera suggest that she might stop talking to him, Logan instantly felt flustered and agreed without hesitation. He decided it was better to endure a little discomfort now than to risk losing Hera’s kindness, as she was the only person who had shown him such warmth.
Hera, on the other hand, believed that a gentle push might be necessary to help Logan break free from the negative perceptions he had grown up with. She felt that approaching him with kindness might only be met with skepticism, so she opted to gently threaten him instead. It seemed her approach had worked effectively in this instance.
“I’ll be coming with you too!!!” Sandra happily joined in, her enthusiasm evident. She loved helping people discover their best styles, aiming to enhance their looks in the process. For her, seeing two attractive individuals walking together would be a feast for the eyes.
