Chapter 264: Chapter 264 Logan’s Transformation 6
Logan didn’t respond, lost in his own thoughts. Hera decided to leave it at that. She knew she couldn’t get through to him in a single day, which is why he needed a fiery assistant who could instill this mindset over time.
Soon after, they arrived at the mall and met up with Sandra, who had been waiting at the entrance for over 10 minutes. Despite the wait, she showed no signs of dissatisfaction. In fact, she looked too excited to notice the time.
They first went to Armani to get Logan a suitable suit for official and formal gatherings. Since Hera had become a little well-known in the mall after her shopping spree with Athena, almost all the shop assistants recognized her, whether they worked in women’s or men’s apparel. They were eagerly anticipating her return, especially after seeing her in the Variety Show.
So when Hera, Sandra, and Logan stepped into the Armani store, the shop assistant was already waiting at the entrance. They greeted them enthusiastically, bowed, and promptly led them inside to assist with their shopping.
Logan was dumbfounded for two reasons. First, he had never set foot in a store that sold international luxury brands. Second, the shop assistant’s overwhelming enthusiasm left him wondering if they always treated customers this way, which seemed exhausting.
He hesitantly looked at Hera for confirmation and received a nod before she entered with Sandra as if it were completely normal. Before Sandra had a chance to explore the store, the shop assistant guided them to the VVIP showroom. It looked like a small theater with a comfy couch at the back. A charcuterie board and champagne were already set up on a small coffee table, along with some brochures.
Little did Hera know that while she was still walking through the ground floor from the entrance, news of her arrival had already spread among the shop assistants. By the time she reached the Armani store, every store in the mall had prepared their VVIP rooms. Seeing a man with her, even the men’s apparel shops were well prepared.
She was now seen as a walking credit card and a source of income for the staff. They’ve never been this happy, not even on payday. Knowing that the lucky shop assistants who helped Hera with her previous purchases received hefty commissions, they were eager to get an early bonus from her potential purchases. This explained their enthusiastic yet nervous demeanor.
To avoid heated arguments over who would assist her, the shop assistants had come up with a system. Aside from those who had already earned huge commissions, the rest played rock-paper-scissors to determine the lucky assistant. They planned to use the same method in the future, excluding those who had already received commissions, to ensure everyone had a fair chance.
Seeing the well-prepared staff, Sandra was taken aback and glanced at Hera, witnessing a new level of opulence before her. Hera, however, remained unfazed by the attention.
The shop assistant led them to the couch, and once they were seated comfortably, she engaged in small talk to understand their preferences, what styles they were interested in, and more.
It only took them 10 minutes of small talk to figure out Sandra’s preferred style for Logan, which Hera also approved of: cool, slightly sensual yet refreshing. It was a challenging combination to pull off, but soon after, models with a similar body build to Logan began to emerge from the back door. They walked gracefully down the room’s aisle, showcasing the unique appeal of each outfit.
Logan’s head spun as he eyed the array of clothes he had never considered wearing before. Doubts crept in—he wasn’t sure if he could pull off these styles, and the price tags made him nervous. He nervously clutched his pants, hesitating to even take a sip of the champagne or snack in front of him.
Logan felt a lump in his throat as Hera casually referred to spending thousands of dollars on clothes as something ‘small’. He couldn’t help but question himself, “Am I just too poor, or is she just too accustomed to this?”
Even Hera herself didn’t realize that her words were out of character for her. In that moment, she exuded the air of a true heiress from a wealthy family, spending money without a second thought and without any worries about her expenses.
Even Sandra felt confident in choosing whatever clothes she thought would fit her vision for Logan’s new style, without worrying about the price tag. Soon, they had a dozen suits from this season’s collection. Just when Logan thought they were done shopping, he was in for a surprise. With two enthusiastic women leading the way, he found himself swept up in a shopping spree, moving from one store to another. In the end, he had a full wardrobe of suitable clothing for all occasions—casual, formal, outdoor, and indoor—that perfectly matched his new image.
Hera, astonished by how good Logan looked in all the clothes Sandra had chosen, felt even more compelled to buy him more outfits. She was also reminded of the six other men who looked just as good, if not better and felt inspired to ensure Logan matched their level of style.
While Sandra was busy as a bee, Hera’s thoughts drifted to each and every one of them. Although Rafael was hot-tempered and often acted like a jerk, he was actually warm inside. According to the novel, he was the type who would jump into fire to save the person he loved. Hera wondered how true that was.
She had yet to move on to the next person among the six when the very person she was thinking about appeared. As Hera, Sandra, and Logan continued their shopping spree around the mall, Rafael approached them.
“Hera. Can we talk?” Rafael’s voice was solemn and restrained, his eyes reflecting deep thoughts and a sense of unease.
He silently glanced at Sandra and nodded at her, but when his eyes shifted to Logan, he couldn’t bring himself to nod. His lips pursed unintentionally, yet he remained silent. Rafael’s presence, however, made Logan step back, nearly stumbling. Fortunately, they weren’t carrying anything since all their purchases were being sent to Hera’s penthouse. Since Logan hadn’t moved into his new dorm yet.
“Is it important? I’m still shopping with them,” Hera said, gesturing towards Logan and Sandra. To be honest, she held a prejudice against Rafael. His sister was the first to make her life miserable and continued targeting her. In Hera’s mind, they were lumped together as one—they were family, after all.
