Chapter 352: Chapter 352 Being Pampered Early In The Morning
Hera read each message slowly, savoring every word. As she continued, a smile gradually spread across her face. Once she had finished reading all their messages, she replied to each one individually before heading off to freshen up.
After finishing her wash and getting ready, Hera stood before the floor-to-ceiling mirror, deep in thought. If she chose simpler clothes, people might think she was trying to hide her wealth out of guilt or manipulate the crowd by making a stark contrast from understated luxury to simplicity, as if she were trying too hard to grab attention.
Since she knew she’d attract attention no matter what, Hera decided to dress the way she liked. She enjoyed looking good, and dresses were meant to make one feel beautiful and confident. So, she embraced her style, knowing it made her feel her best.
She wandered through her spacious walk-in closet and chose a sky-blue maxi dress by Dolce & Gabbana, adorned with pink petals along the hem and a slit up the left side. She paired it with white ‘Rockstud’ pumps from Valentino Garavani and a mint-pink Hermès Kelly II Retourne bag, which she accessorized with a baby blue scarf tied to the strap.
She also adorned herself with Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari Secret Watch that was adorned with so much diamond that it only showed a little space for the time and the frame was made out of 18k white fairmained gold and pearl earrings, finishing her look with a spray of Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb Haute Couture.
After dressing, Hera braided half of her hair on each side and twisted it into a rose design at the back of her head, while the other half of her wavy hair cascaded loosely down her back, partially covering her shoulders. She took one last look in the mirror, gave a satisfied twirl, and then headed downstairs to enjoy the breakfast Luke had prepared for her.
As Luke mentioned, Amy had already set the breakfast on the dining table, awaiting her arrival. Just like the previous meals Luke had prepared, this breakfast tasted homey and delicious, comparable to the meals Hannah and her father used to make. Before digging in, Hera took a photo of the spread and sent Luke a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ message. She then posted the picture on her social media wall, sharing her appreciation with her followers.
Her post clearly conveyed that she was untroubled by the online drama and focused on her own life. Her followers quickly began liking and commenting on the picture. Hera also made sure to mention in her caption that the breakfast was from a special someone, subtly suggesting that she had moved on from Alexi and was open to new romantic possibilities. This strategic hint would only fuel more gossip about her and her suitors, redirecting attention away from unfounded rumors and increasing the public’s curiosity about her personal life.
Given that her privacy was already compromised, Hera decided to use it to her advantage by amplifying her personal life, much like bloggers do. This approach not only allowed her fans to feel more personally connected to her but also sparked curiosity about her love life and how she was moving forward after the betrayal from Alexi.
This strategy allowed her and her management to capitalize on her clout. While other agencies often forbid their artists from entering relationships to avoid fan dissatisfaction and jealousy, Hera’s situation was different. With her six handsome and powerful suitors, she was set to spark a real-life online drama, turning what viewers typically see only in screens and plays into a captivating reality.
[Thank you for the Wonderful breakfast, it tasted great!]
[GoldenLight: You’re are welcome (´◡`๑).]
[AuntieNextDoor: Umu umu!!! Here I am only having steamed corn because I am busy and have no one to cook for me but myself, and here is my little sister, receiving the blessing from the heavens early this morning!!!!]
[HeraIsMySister: Oh! This breakfast is from one of her suitors! Ah, @NorthernDuke President, where are you?! Are you retreating from the competition and letting the other suitors outshine you? Why didn’t you send her any food or cook for her yourself? You’re falling behind!]
[PasserbyGod: Looks like you’re really backing your bet! Are you making sure that one million was well spent, or are you worried he might retract it? @HeraIsMySister]
[HeraIsMySister: You’re still hung up on that? I’m not worried at all! I just have a soft spot for handsome men, and with so many around sister Hera, it’s tough to pick. However, our president stands out with the genuine love he shows, which makes me believe he’s the one who’ll truly choose Hera no matter what. Hmph!]
[AuntieNextDoor: @HeraIsMySister I feel the same way, which is why I’m rooting for the president and my little sister. After witnessing how devastated she was when Alexi cheated and disrespected her love, she definitely deserves someone better.]
[SussyB: I agree. No woman should undermine another just to steal a man. If he can’t stay committed, he should be honest about it. And the other woman shouldn’t flaunt being a mistress—it’s disrespectful and unbecoming.]
While the online buzz continued to swirl, Hera had already arrived at the parking lot early in the morning. She chose to drive her amethyst Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail to the Avery Racecourse, where Bry and his father were already waiting for her.
The reason she didn’t go running today was that she planned to accompany Bry and his father to visit the place and negotiate, as she hadn’t seen it for some time. Since it was still early in the morning, there was little traffic, allowing her to reach the suburbs in just 45 minutes.
The road was smooth and flanked by trees arching overhead, creating a natural tunnel of greenery. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a beautiful and soothing glow. With her car having no roof, Hera could feel the fresh, unpolluted air gently brushing her face.
This private road leading to the Avery Racecourse was reserved for the affluent and essential deliveries, ensuring a serene and exclusive drive. Hera sped along the picturesque route, eager not to keep Bry and his father waiting.
When Hera arrived at the entrance, Bry’s father’s truck was still parked in front of the gate, waiting for security to grant them entry. She waited patiently, assuming they were dealing with a clearance or verification issue. However, after five minutes had passed with no movement, she began to grow concerned.
As far as Hera could remember, Cindy had mentioned that there would be no issues arriving early. She had said that many people came in the morning for horseback riding to avoid the intense midday sun when it was at its hottest.
As she pondered the delay, a commotion ahead caught her attention. Looking back, she saw another car pulling up behind her. If the situation continued, they risked receiving complaints from customers who disliked wasting time, especially when waiting in such circumstances.
Hera stepped out of her car and walked to the front to investigate. She saw that a black jeep had attempted to overtake Bry’s father’s truck while entering but misjudged the space, causing it to become wedged between the truck and the gate. Bry’s father, caught off guard by the sudden maneuver, hadn’t been able to brake in time, which only pushed the jeep further into the entrance, causing a jam.
