Chapter 381: Chapter 381 Not A Dream
After Zhane heard Hera’s melodious voice, he instinctively reached out to her. Zhane caught Hera’s wrist and pulled her to his chest. Hera would feel Zhane’s chest rising and falling rhythmically, although she felt bad disrupting his good rest but, they are in the way of the other cars and might cause some dissatisfaction with other customers of the Pavilion.
She tried once more, her voice gentle. “Zhane, wake up.” But her soft tone only seemed to lull him further into sleep, like a soothing lullaby. With no other choice, Hera decided on a more drastic approach. Glancing down from her awkward position—Zhane’s arms wrapped snugly around her waist and back—she reached out and pinched his well-defined nose.
She didn’t pinch too hard, not wanting to hurt him, but kept her fingers firmly in place. Soon, Zhane flinched in his sleep, his body reacting as he struggled to breathe through his nose. A moment later, he instinctively switched to breathing through his mouth, slowly blinking awake, as if surfacing from a deep, pleasant dream.
Zhane glanced down, feeling a light pressure on his chest and stomach, only to find Hera nestled in his arms. Rather than feeling embarrassed, he met her questioning gaze and smiled softly. “Good morning,” he murmured, his voice deep and slightly hoarse, carrying a hint of allure. His eyes were still a bit bleary, as if he hadn’t fully shaken off the remnants of sleep.
Zhane leaned down, placing a soft, fleeting peck on Hera’s lips. Just as she thought it would end there, she quickly realized how wrong she was. His hand, which had been resting gently on her back, moved up to her chin, tilting her head slightly upward. Her lips parted instinctively, and in that brief moment, Zhane seized the opportunity to deepen the kiss, turning it into something slow and deliberate—a smooth, proper kiss that left no room for hesitation.
The kiss was gentle and warm, yet laced with a quiet intensity that made it feel both needy and passionate. Zhane’s hand, which had been resting on her waist, slid down slightly, giving her perky butt a firm squeeze. Hera gasped in surprise, and Zhane took full advantage of the moment, slipping his tongue deeper into her mouth and teasing her own with his, drawing her further into the heated exchange.
Zhane deepened the kiss, alternating between gently sucking on her tongue and playfully nipping at her lips. Hera’s head was spinning—despite all the passionate kisses she’d shared with the others, she still hadn’t mastered the art of keeping her breath steady. The lack of oxygen was making her lightheaded, and all she could focus on was the heat of Zhane’s kiss. Her thoughts blurred, consumed entirely by the intensity of the moment, leaving her utterly breathless.
She felt like she was drowning, and Zhane was her only lifeline. Instinctively, she clung to his collar, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. Zhane leaned in without hesitation, closing the small distance between them until there was no space left. Their breaths mingled, and they could hear each other’s heartbeats pounding in sync. For reasons she couldn’t fully understand, the sound of it only made Hera’s excitement grow stronger.
“Ah!” Hera let out a soft, alluring moan as Zhane squeezed her butt cheeks again. His other hand slid behind her neck, holding her firmly in place, making it clear he had no intention of letting her escape. “Zhane!” she called out, her voice betraying more need than she intended. A flicker of reason reminded her they were still outside the Golden Dragon Pavilion, and she had meant to tell him to stop. But instead, her voice came out seductive, as if she were inviting him to do more.
Hearing his name spill from her cherry-red, seductive lips sent a surge of heat spiraling through Zhane’s core. He couldn’t help but groan, though the sound was muffled by their passionate kiss. But that didn’t slow him down—if anything, it only fueled his desire. He wanted more than just a kiss; he wanted all of her, right there, in that moment.
Before Zhane could take any further action, a knock on the passenger side startled both Hera and Zhane. Hera instinctively tried to push Zhane away, but his strength made it almost impossible for her to move him more than a couple of inches. Zhane, however, calmly allowed her to create some distance but didn’t fully release her. Both of them were panting heavily, with Zhane’s powerful chest rising and falling as he caught his breath. Despite the interruption, his gaze remained passionately fixed on Hera’s flushed face.
“You’re not a dream,” Zhane murmured, his eyes still a bit blurry but gradually clearing, as if he were coming back to full awareness. Hera braced herself for an excuse or an apology, but instead, Zhane flashed her a relieved and genuine smile. “I’m glad it wasn’t just a dream.” Hera choked slightly on her own breath, feeling a mix of defeat and embarrassment.
Zhane was about to say more, but Dave’s frantic knocking started to irritate him. When Dave’s car finally pulled up behind Bry’s father’s truck, he was eager to rush to the front to catch up with Hera and Zhane. However, after two or three minutes with no movement from the cars ahead, a sudden realization struck him. He jumped out of his car and hurried to the front of the line. Sure enough, Hera’s car was right there, and the valet waiting by the driver’s side door had a flushed face and was pointedly looking away.
The car’s engine was still rumbling, indicating that Hera hadn’t turned it off yet, but there was no sign of movement inside. Dave was about to ask the valet what was going on when he caught a glimpse through the front of the car and saw Hera and Zhane passionately making out. His frustration flared, and he felt a pang of exclusion. He almost stumbled on his own feet as a thought crossed his mind: ‘What do I mean by feeling left out? Would it be okay if I joined in on the action too?’ Dave grumbled inwardly.
He saw that the usually reserved Zhane now appeared like a ravenous beast, eager to devour his prey but simultaneously cautious not to cause any harm. His movements were filled with a mix of intense desire and careful restraint.
He saw Hera’s flushed face, her grip on Zhane’s collar resembling that of a needy cat. Overcome with jealousy and unwillingness to be left out, Dave frantically knocked on the passenger window. As Zhane and Hera parted, Dave caught Zhane saying something to Hera, his expression content. Hera’s face turned even redder, her lips swollen and a deeper shade of red than usual, as she looked bashfully away.
Hera was at a loss for words after Zhane’s comment, his contented smile only deepening her embarrassment. She tried to look away, hoping to hide her flushed cheeks, but as she turned, her gaze locked with an amethyst eye staring back at her. It felt like déjà vu, and the familiarity of the situation made her want to sink into the ground. The embarrassment was overwhelming, intensified by the fact that there were now more people witnessing her intimate moment with Zhane inside the car.
