Dave added, “I like yours better; it was tender and delicious.” His alluring voice, coupled with his words, carried a suggestive tone that made Hera’s face flush.
She couldn’t bring herself to lift her gaze, not wanting to meet the waiter’s eyes. She was right to feel that way—everyone who heard his comment assumed Dave was speaking about her in an intimate context.
Even the waiter felt his throat go dry. He couldn’t handle the moment; he lacked experience dealing with people of such extraordinary backgrounds and godlike appearances.
They seemed like immortals among mortals, stepping into his world for a fleeting moment.
However, hearing their suggestive conversation was a completely different experience, and his thoughts began to wander.
He couldn’t bring himself to look at Hera; he didn’t want his mind to drift toward lustful thoughts about the woman sitting next to him—it felt profoundly unprofessional.
She also noticed that the waiter was doing his best to pretend he hadn’t heard anything, which meant a lot to her. Meanwhile, the person who started it all saw nothing wrong with his words; he simply believed Hera’s food would taste better because it came from her.
He looked up at Hera with smiling eyes, savoring the food. Hera’s lips twitched as she fought to maintain her smile, but the atmosphere remained awkward—only Dave seemed unaffected.
Rather than dwell on her embarrassment, she decided it was best to let it go; Dave didn’t appear to mean anything inappropriate by his words.
Hera sighed and began to eat as well. Soon, their dessert arrived: a stunning creation resembling a small tree trunk resting on moss-covered soil, adorned with candied rabbits and a bird’s nest at the center.
Delicate mushrooms and flowers surrounded the arrangement, evoking the whimsical theme of Alice in Wonderland. It was truly beautiful.
“Here’s the dessert,” said the waiter. “The tree trunk is crafted from tempered chocolate, while the rabbits, mushrooms, and flowers, along with the bird’s nest, are made from flavored candy. The base is a rich chocolate moist cake.”
He then poured from a small pitcher that appeared empty, but as he tilted it, a mist emerged, slowly enveloping the moss-covered soil, creating the illusion of a dreamy haze.
Hera grinned with delight as she watched the spectacle unfold, thoroughly enjoying it. She even took a picture to capture the moment.
Dave felt a sense of happiness knowing that Hera was enjoying herself and that his little preparations were paying off.
After their delightful lunch, Hera and Dave walked side by side, and she took a moment to thank the entire staff as they exited the themed park.
Hera assumed their date would end there, but to her surprise, Dave drove them to another location. She tilted her head, watching the scenery shift from the vibrant park to the tranquil suburbs outside the car window.
She had intended to be the one taking Dave to places, having suggested their outing in the first place. But seeing his enthusiastic demeanor, she decided to let him lead.
Besides, she was truly enjoying herself; she hadn’t expected Dave to prepare such an elaborate date in just two days.
The date Dave had planned was innocent and romantic, the kind every woman would appreciate and enjoy.
She hadn’t expected him to come up with something so thoughtful, let alone become her personal photographer throughout the day. The thought made her chuckle quietly to herself.
Soon, they arrived at a race circuit, and even from a distance, Hera could hear the loud rumbling of racing car engines.
However, the absence of visitors’ voices puzzled her. Sensing her confusion, Dave quickly stepped in to explain.
“I rented the entire place,” Dave explained. “There weren’t any scheduled races—international or local—so the circuit was available. Those cars you hear are probably teams practicing or a few rich brats getting some laps in before I showed up.”
Dave shrugged casually, as if to say it wasn’t a big deal. “After seeing some of the cars you drive, I figured you might be into cars—and maybe racing too. So, I brought you here to give it a try. What do you think?” he asked, looking at Hera expectantly as he gently guided her inside.
In truth, he was a bit nervous. This hadn’t been part of his original plan for the date, but after seeing Zhane take Hera to the shooting range and knowing how much she enjoyed it, he wanted to share one of the places he loved spending time in as well.
That’s why he figured the people doing laps on the circuit were either the national team practicing or the wealthy kids he often hung out with at the track.
He usually came here with Rafael, a car enthusiast who also loved racing. But with Rafael’s parents on vacation, he had been too busy managing both Briley Corporation and his entertainment company to join him.
With Rafael busy and his troublemaker of a sister keeping him occupied, Dave often found himself coming here alone.
But now, with Hera by his side, he couldn’t help but feel grateful for Rafael’s absence—it gave him the chance to have Hera all to himself.

Remembering that he had the entire day alone with Hera, Dave instantly perked up. Hera, meanwhile, was looking around with amazement clearly written across her face.
Not long after, they reached the area where the others were gathered. Upon seeing Dave approach, they immediately surrounded him with enthusiastic chatter.
However, when they noticed Hera beside him, they stiffened, wide-eyed, before glancing at Dave with a hint of guilt.
Dave quickly sensed that something was off about their reactions.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“Boss, who is she?” one of them finally dared to ask. He couldn’t help but glance at Hera multiple times, each look revealing a flicker of recognition, as if he were trying to recall something just out of reach.
“Dave!” Even before any of them could respond, a girl in a form-fitting race suit rushed toward him, holding her helmet in her right arm.
She immediately attached herself to Dave’s right arm, using her body to push Hera aside.
Dave was taken aback; he never allowed anyone to get as close to him as this girl had, and she typically wouldn’t be so audacious.
However, seeing Hera holding hands with him as he led her inside seemed to ignite something in the newcomer, prompting her to throw caution to the wind.
She suddenly felt a surge of possessiveness, not wanting any girl near Dave at all. After all the time she had invested in trying to get close to him, it was frustrating to discover he had brought an unknown girl along.
After a moment of surprise, Dave’s brow furrowed deeply. Instinctively, he shook the girl’s arm off as if trying to rid himself of something unclean.
He even patted down his clothes, rubbing his palms against his pants as if to emphasize his discomfort.
“Shiela, what do you think you’re doing?!” a guy in a race suit called out as he ran after her. His hair was slightly damp, suggesting he had just finished practicing and had rushed after the girl who had dashed to Dave.
