Chapter 432: Chapter 432 No Sportsmanship
If he were as skilled at driving, he wouldn’t have needed Hera’s help back then. The truth was, his driving left much to be desired, often placing him at the back of the pack compared to the other drivers.
This was also why he chose not to participate in the race with the others, opting instead to feign concern for his friend.
He was fully aware of his lackluster driving skills and wanted to spare himself the humiliation of being seen in such an embarrassing moment.
However, that didn’t deter his passion for racing; he was determined to stay connected to it in any way he could.
“What do you think?” He turned to Hera, eager for her opinion. “And if you ever need to fly out for a race, I’ll arrange a first-class ticket for you.” He smiled at her, pride evident in his expression.
“What are you trying to persuade my girl to do?!” Dave’s jealous voice boomed from behind Hera, drawing everyone’s attention. They turned to see him charging toward them like an angry bull.
Dave hadn’t caught the entire conversation; he only overheard the other guy mention booking a first-class fare for Hera.
To him, it sounded like an attempt to impress her with his wealth, and that was enough to ignite his jealousy.
Hera’s sponsor felt a chill run down his spine at the sight of Dave’s resentful glare. He quickly backpedaled, eager to clarify the situation to prevent any misunderstandings.
After hearing the explanation, Dave’s anger began to wane. “Why would she need to take another plane when she can just use mine?!” His expression revealed genuine confusion, as he tried to make sense of the situation.
After all, since he considered Hera his woman, it meant she was entitled to the privileges he could provide, including any luxuries she desired.
Everyone around them was left speechless by Dave’s nonchalant declaration, as if he were simply discussing the weather. Just as he finished speaking, the members of the national team arrived on the scene.
Among them were Milly and her brother, both still reeling from the experience, unable to believe their eyes.
Milly, on the other hand, felt a surge of resentment as Hera had effortlessly stolen the spotlight of the event.
Unintentionally, she had given Hera the perfect platform to showcase her exceptional driving skills.
Rather than humiliating Hera, she had only dug her own grave and leaped right into it, ultimately resulting in her own embarrassment.
When the national team overheard Dave and the others discussing plans to have Hera participate in the international and national Grand Prix, a competition meant for them, and even offering to fly her wherever she needed, they couldn’t help but feel it was unfair that she was receiving so much attention and support from everyone.
Despite having beaten all of them and won the race, some still believed it was merely a stroke of luck.
After all, they hadn’t witnessed what the support team had observed, leaving them still in the dark about the true extent of her abilities.
However, Hera, the focus of their discussion, felt genuinely perplexed.
Even though they sought her opinion, it was clear they had already made up their minds about what they wanted to do.
Their inquiry felt more like a formality rather than a genuine consideration of her thoughts.
Instead, she decided to steer the conversation in a different direction. “Now that the race is over, we should talk about distributing the winnings to the victor,” Hera said, her smile bright as she eagerly jumped into the discussion to remind everyone.
At her words, many winced as the painful memory resurfaced—they had just lost $1 million in an instant, while the unsuspecting Hera had pocketed a staggering $11 million all to herself.
The sickly guy eagerly transferred the money back to Hera’s online bank, a cheerful smile on his face. Meanwhile, Milly clenched her teeth in frustration as she made her way toward Hera.
“Why do you get to keep all the winnings without considering us? Especially me, who had an accident! Don’t you think it’s only fair for me to receive at least half of the prize money for what I’ve been through?!”
“After all, it was your fault that I got into an accident!” Milly shot a glare at Hera.
Hera raised an eyebrow, turning to face Milly. “First of all, it wasn’t my fault you had an accident. If you’re determined to pursue this accusation, we can always review the race footage.”
“Secondly, don’t act so entitled to my winnings. We raced fairly, and everyone agreed to the terms: the winner takes the pool money.”
Hera continued, “Accidents like this are a common risk in racing. If you’re afraid of getting caught in one, maybe you shouldn’t be racing at all.”

“Car racing isn’t for the faint of heart,” Hera scoffed, rolling her eyes at Milly. She didn’t hold back, making Dave chuckle loudly.
Just as Milly opened her mouth to retort, Hera added, “If you’re trying to scam me out of my winnings, at least put in some effort.” With that, she flipped her long hair in a show of defiance, clearly hitting a nerve with Milly, who was visibly annoyed.
Milly’s face flushed a deep crimson with anger, her fists clenched tightly, knuckles turning white. “What do you mean, your money?! It belongs to all of us!” She glanced around, trying to rally the others against Hera, hoping to incite them to reclaim their share of the winnings.
After all, that $1 million represented their hard-earned savings, and relinquishing it would leave them financially devastated.
Hera recognized Milly’s intentions and waved her phone in front of her, relishing the opportunity to annoy her further.
At the same time, she aimed to make it clear that they had lost the race; since it was a gamble, it was ultimately their own responsibility for participating and loosing.
However, Milly had managed to rally the national team members to her cause, and soon they all began to pressure Hera to return their money.
However, Dave and the young masters who had lost stood by Hera’s side. For them, money was not a pressing concern, and they recognized that Hera had won the race fair and square.
They had little patience for sore losers. After all, everyone had eagerly joined in on the bet, which meant they should own their defeat rather than make a fuss about it.
“Manager, coach, is this what your team stands for? No sense of sportsmanship, and they can’t even recognize when to admit defeat?!” Hera’s sponsor exclaimed, his tone dripping with disdain.
After working closely with Hera for a while, he had come to understand her well. He could see that she was becoming increasingly dissatisfied and annoyed by Milly’s antics.
Simultaneously, he recognized that Hera was retaliating against Milly for her earlier tricks on the racetrack.
“Perhaps we should reconsider allowing Phantom to join this team,” he suggested, turning to lead Hera and Dave away from the commotion.
However, Dave and the newcomers were unaware that Hera was Phantom. When they heard the name “Phantom,” their expressions shifted to surprise. Confused, they tensed up, anxious that they might have inadvertently annoyed their idol.
