Chapter 448: Chapter 448 My Wife
Elsewhere in the dark night, Leo had already contacted his assistant to arrange for a restaurant to prepare chicken soup and other remedies to help soothe Hera’s cold and prevent severe stomach cramps.
Like Dave’s pilot, Leo made sure to call the aviation control tower before taking off to secure flight clearance around the city. He was granted the fastest route.
So, when Dave’s pilot called in, they were only cleared for the second-best route since Leo had already taken priority on the quickest path.
While Dave and the others were scrambling to fly to the city, Leo had already landed on the helipad atop the Hendrix headquarters.
His assistant was waiting there, having followed Leo’s earlier instructions.
He had already compiled a list of the highest-rated women’s products and noted exactly where to purchase them.
As Leo stepped down from the helicopter, clearly marked with the Carson family emblem, he made a beeline for the stairs, eager to reach the elevator as quickly as possible.
His assistant followed closely behind, briefing him on the results of his research. Leo listened attentively, taking in the details with his usual calm composure.
When Leo and his assistant descended from the top floor to the basement, they didn’t waste any time.
Leo’s urgency wasn’t driven by competition with the other men pursuing the same goal, but by genuine concern for Hera.
He worried that she might end up soaking in the water for too long, which wasn’t good for her health. He was determined to return as quickly as possible.
Leo’s assistant drove him to the city’s largest and most luxurious mall.
Without waiting for his assistant to park the car, Leo stepped out at the entrance and headed straight to the designated store with purpose, wasting no time.
As Leo entered the store, a few women were still browsing and picking up what they needed.
Thankfully, in malls of this caliber, the rules were different from regular ones.
Unlike typical malls that close at night, luxury establishments remain open to cater to the demands of high-profile clients, no matter the hour.
They understand that individuals of Leo’s status may require certain necessities at any time, and they’re always prepared to accommodate such needs.
Despite the late hour, the mall remained open, and a few patrons were still browsing the stores.
As Leo stepped into the shop stocked with every product a woman could need, he immediately caught the attention of everyone inside.
Most of the shoppers were women in their mid-to-late twenties, with even a few college students standing in the corner, examining lip tints.
All eyes turned to Leo the moment he entered, his presence commanding the room effortlessly.
His sharp, imposing aura combined with his chiseled features and well-defined physique made him impossible to ignore.
Every woman in the store couldn’t help but follow his every move, their faces betraying looks of admiration and infatuation.
Leo didn’t spare a glance at his surroundings as he moved directly to the shelves, scanning each one with focused intent.
Noticing his determined search, a shop assistant gathered her courage and approached him, ready to offer assistance.
“Hello, sir! Are you searching for products for your sister, mother, or perhaps your girlfriend?” The shop assistant, though clearly captivated, maintained her professionalism.
Having worked with affluent clients for years, she understood the importance of keeping her interactions discreet and avoiding any personal entanglements.
“For my wife.” Leo’s deep, resonant voice reverberated through the store, catching the attention of everyone present.
The sudden hush magnified his words, making them ring out clearly. His tone carried a note of pride, as if he were the luckiest man alive to be married to such a remarkable woman.
The other women in the store couldn’t help but grimace in envy at his heartfelt declaration.

“Oh!” The shop assistant was momentarily taken aback but quickly composed herself.
“What products are you looking for? I’d be happy to offer some recommendations. However, if you already have a specific item in mind, I can guide you to make your shopping experience easier.” She flashed a practiced, professional smile.
Leo nodded, taking a moment to consider. “Could you recommend a good brand of sanitary napkins? I’m looking for something that offers comfort and minimizes the risk of rashes. My wife has very sensitive skin, so I want to ensure she feels comfortable and doesn’t experience any irritation.”
Although he was merely asking for a recommendation, it was clear to everyone eavesdropping that he was subtly complimenting his wife’s baby-soft skin while showcasing their strong relationship.
His words made the other women bite their lips in envy, intensifying their admiration for him.
Even the shop assistant chuckled and nodded in agreement.
Leo pursed his lips, considering her question, and then she continued, “Actually, I have a fantastic product in mind. It features a soft material that’s perfect for sensitive skin. May I ask if your wife prefers products with wings or without?”
Hearing the shop assistant casually refer to Hera as his wife brought a faint smile to Leo’s lips.
However, when she asked her question, he felt a twinge of confusion.
Despite the research he and his assistant had conducted, they had yet to grasp all the nuances, and he realized he still had much to learn.
Unsure about the distinction between winged and non-winged products, he decided to rely on the shop assistant’s expertise and simply asked for her recommendation.
‘Are they supposed to fly? What’s the purpose of the wings?’ A flurry of questions raced through his mind.
Noticing his confusion and silence, the assistant took the initiative to guide Leo to the shelves where the napkins were displayed.
It was clear he wasn’t familiar with the products, but she admired his dedication to helping his wife find what she needed rather than leaving her to navigate it alone.
“Sir, since we’re unsure of your wife’s preference, why not buy both winged and non-winged options?
They’re from the same brand,” the shop assistant suggested. Leo nodded, his expression serious as he attentively listened to her advice.
With each moment, the assistant’s smile became wider and more genuine; after all, securing such a large sale from just one customer meant she would not only meet but exceed her sales quota.
When Leo exited the store, he was laden with several shopping bags brimming with an assortment of products: napkins from three different brands, both winged and non-winged, along with a feminine wash from another brand, a hot pack, massage oil, and much more.
Yet, his shopping spree wasn’t over. He headed to the women’s wear section, where he selected a cozy pajama set, comfortable lingerie, and two stylish dresses for Hera to choose from.
Before heading back, Leo made a stop at a candy store, where he picked up an assortment of chocolates and candies, along with hot chocolate and a few of Hera’s favorite comfort snacks.
By the time his assistant arrived, Leo was struggling to see past the mountain of shopping bags and boxes he was carrying.
After finishing their shopping at the mall, they headed straight to the Michelin-starred restaurant to pick up their order.
At the front desk, they encountered Dave, who glared at Leo with eyes full of resentment, though he remained silent.
