Chapter 450: Chapter 450 Tonight
The six men gathered around Hera, huddling close as they watched a movie together.
Sharing snacks and laughter, they couldn’t resist joining in when they saw her enjoying the food.
Hera, more than happy to share, welcomed them eagerly, and soon they were all enjoying the moment together—eating, laughing, and basking in the warmth of each other’s company.
The rivalry between the men felt like nothing more than a distant memory.
As they watched the movie, they began discussing it from a business perspective, sharing their insights and evaluating its potential as if they were analyzing an investment opportunity.
Their competitive edges had softened, replaced by thoughtful conversation and shared interests.
“Sweetheart, why don’t you take on a project like this? I’ll back your movie—actually, I could bring in everything from the director to the crew to make sure no one tries to power trip you,” Dave suggested, his tone serious as he weighed the possibilities.
Though he was a politician and knew he shouldn’t get involved in the entertainment industry, the excitement of seeing Hera on screen was too tempting.
His eyes suddenly lit up with a new idea.
“Right! Weren’t you planning to race in the Grand Prix and use that as leverage for a movie deal? Which film were you aiming for?” Dave continued enthusiastically.
“Rafael and Luke would definitely want to invest in any project you’re involved in! We could even make sure you’d always land the female lead. As for my part, I can arrange better clearances for your crew in all the filming locations you need, so you won’t be pressed for time and can perform without any pressure.”
Dave continued excitedly, outlining all the ways he could support Hera’s future projects. Hera couldn’t help but chuckle, feeling both pampered and deeply loved by his enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, the other four men were caught off guard, their attention diverted by something Dave had casually mentioned. They were momentarily stunned, missing most of what he had said.
“Wait, what? You’re going to race in the Grand Prix?” Luke asked, his expression full of shock.
“You can race?” Rafael asked, his initial surprise quickly giving way to excitement. He seemed thrilled to discover this side of Hera, realizing they shared a common interest.
It was as if a flood of thoughts about cars and racing tips were bubbling up, eager to be shared.
Xavier and Zhane stayed quiet, as Dave had already said most of what needed to be said, and Rafael and Luke had asked the key questions.
Meanwhile, Leo sat back with a knowing smile.
He was fully aware of Hera’s driving skills for having followed her closely for a long time.
In fact, if anyone asked who her first fan was, Leo would proudly claim that title without hesitation, as he had been quietly supporting and investing in her activities from the very beginning.
Leo made sure his support was subtle, so Hera wouldn’t notice. He knew she was sharp and quick-witted, and any overt gesture could be easily mistaken as charity.
But Leo understood that Hera didn’t need handouts—she had everything she needed. She was simply out in the world to gain experience, just like her ancestors before her.
However, Leo’s subtle behavior didn’t go unnoticed by Luke. Normally, Leo would be the first to assert his position when it came to Hera, but this time, he simply smiled, as if he’d known all along.
Luke then recalled Leo mentioning that he had known Hera longer than any of them and had been quietly following her journey.
A complicated expression crossed Luke’s face as he watched Leo for a moment, deep in thought.
‘Is he… a stalker? And a proud one at that?’ Luke briefly wondered, before shaking off the thought and refocusing on Hera to gather more details about the racing offer.
However, before Hera could respond, Dave jumped in, brimming with excitement like a proud mother hen.
His storytelling was animated, complete with hand gestures and enthusiasm as he recounted how Hera had outclassed Milly and Michael in their own sick games.
He even went as far as sharing footage from the race, much to the delight of the other men, who happily let him take the center stage to relive the thrilling event and share it with them.
They were so captivated by Dave’s animated storytelling that they completely forgot they were watching a movie on Netflix.

His tales were far more engaging than the film playing in the background.
Everyone listened intently as Dave recounted the details of their date, while Hera, the central figure in his stories, snuggled comfortably against Leo’s side.
On one side, Zhane was gently massaging her right foot, while Rafael attended to her left foot. Xavier mirrored him on her left hand, and Luke leaned in to massage the remaining hand, fully absorbed in Dave’s vivid narration.
Dave even added dramatic flair to his storytelling, acting out the scenes as he spoke, making the moment all the more entertaining.
Unbeknownst to them, Hera had already drifted off to sleep amidst their pampering while they listened to Dave recount her experiences on their date.
Dave, however, chose to omit any mention of his maid, aware that revealing that detail would dampen the mood and reflect poorly on him.
He feared that if the other men discovered the truth, they might not allow him to take Hera out again and bring to his chateau in the future.
Their protective instincts towards Hera were palpable; they were determined to shield her from any danger.
Leo leaned in to adjust Hera’s head, concerned she might get a stiff neck. “Oh, she’s fallen asleep,” he remarked, his gaze softening as he looked at her.
The room fell silent as everyone turned to admire Hera, whose face appeared angelic—pure and serene—like a celestial being that had descended into the mortal realm to save and cleanse the sinners.
A moment of tense silence enveloped the room before Zhane finally spoke, his expression shifting to one of grim seriousness. “My uncle has made his move. The first batch of the cheap herbs and materials has just arrived. Should we proceed with the plan?”
Everyone gradually shifted their gaze to Zhane, fully aware of his desire to resolve this issue once and for all.
They knew that addressing the problem would prevent Tyler Lennon from targeting Hera’s best friend.
After all, they understood how close Hera and Athena were; Hera wouldn’t hesitate to put herself in harm’s way or confront the Lennons if it meant protecting her friend and that’s what they are afraid of happening.
No one wanted things to escalate to that point before making their move. They were keenly aware that Tyler Lennon was furious about being thwarted in his previous scheme and viewed Hera as a thorn in his side—a potential witness to his actions. He believed that it was because of her that the Averys discovered his involvement, leading them to target him. They suspected that he must have also heard about what happened to his sister, prompting him to take action.
“Let’s move tonight,” Leo declared suddenly, drawing everyone’s attention. However, he was too captivated by Hera’s face to notice their surprised expressions.
