Chapter 497: Chapter 497 Heading To The Racing Venue 2
Hera was pleasantly surprised to see Leo sitting there, a baffled look spreading across her face.
The others exchanged knowing glances, their expressions silently communicating,
‘I know, right? We feel the same way.’
Hera noticed the knowing looks exchanged among the others, realizing they were already aware that Leo could fly a helicopter even before she found out.
Biting her lip, she fastened her seatbelt and adjusted her headset so they could communicate without being drowned out by the helicopter’s noise.
“Are we all good?” the pilot asked, scanning the faces of his passengers. They all nodded in response.
“Alright, ready for takeoff.”
“Got it,” Leo replied, turning his attention to the switches as he began assisting with the helicopter’s controls.
Hera couldn’t help but admire the handsome side profile of Leo as he focused on co-piloting.
Meanwhile, the others exchanged playful pouts and narrowed their eyes at her, clearly noticing her admiration.
“Show-off! Hmph!” Dave crossed his arms over his chest and turned his head to the side, a playful jealousy evident in his tone.
Hera was genuinely surprised to see how well Leo fit into their group.
Initially, she had worried about his closeness to them, fearing he might face hostility from the male leads or that his career could be jeopardized.
Yet, seeing him blend in so seamlessly, as if he had been part of their circle from the start, was truly unexpected.
The male leads had embraced him as part of the harem without hesitation, and it was a delightful surprise that she never anticipated.
She couldn’t help but wonder how it had all come to be.
However, she refrained from asking the others how they had come to accept Leo; it would sound conceited, as if she had always known these men would be part of her harem and at her beck and call.
It felt a bit embarrassing, especially with the pilot seated in front of them.
She refocused her thoughts and began to chat with Luke and the others, allowing Leo to concentrate on assisting the pilot.
The helicopter ride was pleasant, and after about an hour, they arrived at their destination—a tall hotel building under the Avery banner.
With Cindy’s clearance, their landing went smoothly.
She had also arranged for them to stay in the presidential suite, giving them a chance to relax after the helicopter ride and helping Hera readjust her mindset before the race.
They all eagerly helped Hera carry her suitcases, having decided against bringing spare clothes for themselves since they could wear what they had until they returned home or buy something new if needed.
However, knowing that Hera would be racing and likely sweating throughout, they made sure to pack a few outfits for her to change into.
They left her clothes in the hotel room, conveniently close to the venue, so they could easily return if necessary.
Instead, they brought along just a duffle bag for Hera to bring to the venue.
They also encouraged her to pick out some outfits she would like to wear after the race for their celebration with the NRT team.
Hera giggled, waving her hand dismissively.
“Guys, relax… I’ll be in a race suit during the event, so even if I sweat, I can just wear back what I have on now.” She shrugged and began to walk out of the room, only to be gently pulled back by Leo.
“How can we let that happen? We can’t let you stay in sweaty clothes; you might catch a cold! Besides, we brought you so many outfits to change into—why would you want to wear the same thing again, hmm?” Leo’s voice was coaxing, playful, and pampering.

Hera felt a jolt in her lower abdomen as she met his teasing gaze.
Hera tilted her head and replied, “Even if I change my clothes later, I’d still need to shower afterward. We can just come back here to freshen up before changing.”
“I’m sure Betty and Daisy have already prepared towels and other essentials at the venue. I just need to show up and do my thing!”
She grinned mischievously, like a playful cat. Leo took a step back, realizing she had a point—she could simply wipe away her sweat and shower back at the hotel.
They all left the room and settled onto the sofa in the living room, tuning in to the live coverage of the venue on TV.
The news was buzzing with excitement as crowds gathered to watch the upcoming race.
The camera panned across the various garages, showcasing the racers and their teams in preparation.
When it passed by Hera’s team, however, the mood shifted; their garage was empty, and the staff looked glum while the manager remained on the phone, seemingly distressed.
In stark contrast, the team next to them was snickering, and to Hera’s surprise, the previous ace racer from her team was now decked out in the race suit of the opposing team.
It seemed that he had accepted the opposing team’s offer at the last minute, along with his entire team.
Now, they were racing against their former teammates, openly flaunting their decision in front of their previous manager, who looked increasingly disheartened.
Their smug expressions and taunting gestures only added to the sting, as they reveled in their new allegiance while looking down on those they once stood with.
This provocation grated on Hera’s nerves.
“Let’s go—we’ll help with the preparations,” she declared, rising to her feet.
An oppressive aura emanated from her, but rather than feeling intimidated, the men surrounding her felt a surge of pride as they witnessed Hera embracing her role as the queen she was.
They quickly stood and followed her lead.
With three hours left until the race officially began, they had planned to arrive an hour early, but now, with someone trying to provoke them, they were determined not to let the opportunity slip away.
“What about the racing car you’ll be using? Do you want to use mine? I can have it sent over before the race,” Dave offered candidly.
“No need; my car will be arriving any minute now.” Hera glanced back at him with a sweet smile, but her eyes conveyed a different message.
Dave found himself momentarily dazed by her expression as he responded, “Oooh…”
Hera then turned on her heel and walked out of the presidential suite.
Leo and the others exchanged knowing glances, silently communicating, ‘Someone’s going to cry later.’
Their eyes curved into crescent smiles, resembling cunning foxes reveling in the mischief that was about to unfold.
Xavier cleared his throat. “Keep your expressions in check; you might scare Hera away.”
Although he attempted to hide his own amusement, the twitching of his lips betrayed the glee he felt.
They all followed Hera with confident big strides, their eyes sparkling with excitement.
Eager to witness the unfolding drama, they couldn’t wait to see the so-called ‘ace’ racer humiliated by their woman.
As they reached the entrance of the hotel, a sleek extended silver Lincoln awaited them, and the hotel staff respectfully opened the door.
Leo gently took Hera’s hand and placed his other hand on the roof of the car, helping her inside.
Luke approached the opposite side, sliding in next to her.
With Leo on her right and Luke on her left, the other three settled into the spacious seating area, creating a cozy atmosphere as they prepared for the ride ahead.
