Chapter 604: Chapter 604 Another Skills unlocked
After being distracted, Hera accidentally took her shot.
Whoosh…
“Ah…” Hera reacted.
The ball missed, and Luke slowly extricated himself from Hera, flashing a stunning smile.
“Ah! Luke, that was cheating!” Dave was the first to react, his eyes wide with surprise. He thought Luke might be taking advantage of Hera or was somehow jealous of Xavier.
After all, he had noticed Xavier’s smug smile earlier. Dave had been ready to kick Xavier in the rear to teach him a lesson for acting smug, but now he watched in disbelief as Luke leaned in close to Hera, acting so intimately with her.
He wanted to stop him, considering they were still in front of the camera. But then he saw Hera miss for the first time since they started playing.
As the only female in the group, they had given her the courtesy of opening the game.
However, they later regretted it, as she never left the table, even after they restarted the game, and now they were in their third round.
Luke chuckled lightly. “Or do you think we’ll be able to play with the female version of Champion Efren Bata Reyes here?” Leo joined in with a chuckle at Luke’s words.
They watched as Hera’s face turned red, realizing she had fallen into Luke’s trap.
The intimate exchange only sent the viewers into a frenzy, screaming and going wild, as it seemed like pure fan service for the shippers.
Before long, screenshots began flooding various group pages. Luke positioned himself at the table, while Dave leaned in closer to Hera, eager to gossip.
“Sweetheart, where did you learn to play like that? You’re even doing some playful shots.”
At Dave’s question, everyone turned to Hera, eager to hear her answer.
Playing billiards requires both talent and precision, not to mention plenty of practice. The way she had executed her shots earlier—so smooth and professional—was captivating, almost like watching a championship match.
Even the viewers had fallen silent. Hera sheepishly rubbed the tip of her nose, looking guilty.
“He he he, before I got into racing, I actually worked as a dealer in a casino and picked up a few tricks there. One of them was billiards…”
Her face turned even redder as she spoke. When she mentioned ‘before racing,’ it meant she was still underage at the time, though she had faked her age.
By then, her body had already developed, with the right curves, so no one suspected she was younger than she appeared.
She worked as a dealer at the poker table and other games in the casino, but one time, a female guest challenged her to a game of billiards with severe consequences.
The girl’s boyfriend had taken a liking to Hera, and out of jealousy, she was determined to make Hera’s life difficult.
The girl had been playing billiards since she was young and had even won a few championships.
At first, Hera was losing badly, and the stakes were high—losers had to take off a piece of their clothing.
Hera hadn’t wanted to play, but her manager insisted, not wanting to offend the woman.
After losing a few rounds, Hera realized that if she lost one more, she’d have to either remove her white shirt or her skirt, leaving her in nothing but her inner garments.
A crowd began to gather around the table, eager to see Hera lose, their attention focused on the curves of her body.
Some men even started throwing money onto the table. Hera had never felt so humiliated.
But driven by sheer determination, she pushed herself to win, learning a few tricks along the way.
After Hera won, the woman dismissed it as a fluke and insisted on another round.

But Hera won again, and her streak continued, pushing the woman to the brink of losing everything. In frustration, the woman accused Hera of faking her skills, refusing to believe that Hera had just learned them.
Fortunately, a bystander stepped in to support Hera, recognizing how badly she had been bullied.
The woman had challenged Hera to the game, confident in her own skills and thinking she could easily breeze through it, showing off her expertise while humiliating Hera in front of everyone to get her boyfriend’s attention.
She believed her boyfriend wouldn’t like a woman who had been publicly seen as ‘dirty.’ But to her shock, she was the one getting wiped off the floor. Hera’s growth had been gradual—each time she had the chance to take a shot, she would theorize two or three tricks and then put them into action when the opportunity arose.
Unfortunately, when her grandfather found out about the event and learned she had worked at the casino, he became terrified that she was heading down the wrong path.
In a fit of anger, he stormed into the casino, grabbed Hera by the ear, and dragged her back home.
Now that Dave, Luke, and Xavier had heard this, they all realized that Hera had been a minor at the time, yet somehow, she had managed to work there.
They couldn’t help but wonder how she had even learned billiards in such a situation.
Hera pursed her lips, clearly not wanting to say more, her embarrassment evident as she avoided their gazes.
Trying to lighten the mood, Danny, who had been watching with great interest, chuckled. “Ha ha ha, your family must have been furious.”
Hera, sensing what Danny was trying to do, played along with a pitiful expression. “My grandfather yanked my ear and dragged me home. I almost turned into an elf.”
She added with a dramatic sigh, “So, everyone, please, gambling isn’t the way to go. Don’t follow the wrong path.” Her tone made it clear that she regretted her past decision.
However, one of the National Race Team staff missed the point and asked, “If you hadn’t worked there, would you be as good as you are now? Have you ever considered playing internationally? Last I heard, the championship offers a $250,000 grand prize.”
Danny immediately smacked the man on the back of his head, visibly annoyed.
“What are you talking about? Even if she hadn’t gone to the casino, with her talent, steady hands, and sharp eyes, she would’ve learned it one way or another. It’s always about a person’s capabilities!”
Danny was trying to salvage the situation, mindful that they were still live. While Hera’s honesty was refreshing, they couldn’t afford to mislead the viewers or encourage the wrong mindset.
After all, Hera was an anomaly—not only was she exceptional at racing, but her billiard skills were equally impressive.
To Danny, Hera felt almost untouchable, as though she were on a completely different level.
While they were talking, the other members of the National Race Team gasped in surprise.
Luke had already cleared the table, pocketing every ball without giving Leo, Xavier, or Dave a chance—just like Hera had done earlier.
Danny had an epiphany: they were surrounded by anomalies, each a prodigy in their own right.
Realizing how competitive things were, they decided to stop giving way and instead picked sticks to determine who would open the game.
Predictably, whoever opened the game also ended it. Leo, Luke, Xavier, and Dave were equally impressive, with Leo and Luke playing flawlessly, not missing a single shot.
Xavier missed two, while Dave missed five, but even that level of skill left the onlookers in awe.
Someone joked, “Don’t tell me you picked that up at the casino too?”
