Chapter 654: Chapter 654 Going Home
After the race, the National Race Team staff spent three extra days in Barcelona, with Hera sending her bodyguards to take them on a guided tour of the city.
All expenses were covered by the Avery Consortium and other sponsors of the National Race Team, ensuring they had a memorable experience.
The staff returned home yesterday on Hera’s private plane, content from their time in Barcelona.
Now, as Hera and the other four prepared to return home, Leo offered the use of his so-called “clan’s private plane” under the Hendrix name, which could be freely used by the Hendrix family descendants with permission.
In truth, only Leo knew that the plane was his personal private jet, and he was merely making up a convenient excuse to avoid drawing attention to his true identity.
No one questioned Leo’s offer, as they all knew the Hendrix family was just as wealthy as the Avery family, so an exclusive private jet accessible to their descendants didn’t seem far-fetched.
When the five of them arrived at the airport, they were surprised to see the president himself there to personally see them off, accompanied by a wall of bodyguards, as if he were sending off a foreign diplomat.
The president even took photos with them, which he quickly posted on Barcelona’s tourism site to market the city’s connection to Young Minister Dave and the racing champion “Phantom.”
The photos generated significant traffic, as expected, and with so many attractive figures in the shots, the president had nothing to lose—in fact, he was riding on their coattails.
The Barcelona president couldn’t help but chuckle, even as he lay down to sleep. The apple had practically fallen into his lap.
All he had to do was show a little support and remain docile in front of Dave, and Dave’s side had taken care of everything for him.
Who wouldn’t be happy when things turned out this way?
Hera, Leo, Luke, Dave, and Xavier returned home on Leo’s private jet. Since Leo’s jet was smaller than Hera’s private plane, they managed to arrive home faster.
The jet’s superior speed cut their flight time in half. When they landed in their home country, their arrival was kept under wraps.
A Rolls-Royce was waiting at the entrance, and Hera’s security team ensured a smooth and swift exit.
Cindy’s meticulous preparations had cleared the airport front and arranged for the car and bodyguards to provide a seamless, quick getaway.
Exhausted and eager to rest, the five of them made their way to the Green Dragon Manor. Once there, they all headed straight to Hera’s penthouse.
They tumbled into her bed, sprawling out in every direction, making the bed feel cramped.
Yet, despite the close quarters, no one complained. As soon as their backs hit the soft mattress, they fell into a deep sleep, their bodies finally able to relax after the long journey.
The past few days had been a whirlwind of nonstop work as they helped Hera search for clues and investigate, leaving everyone exhausted and running around like busy bees.
Now that they were back in a familiar place, the exhaustion had finally caught up with them.
When Amy came to call them for lunch, with Hannah preparing a delicious meal that Hera loved, she stopped in her tracks.
The door to Hera’s master’s bedroom was still slightly ajar, and as Amy peered inside, she saw the five of them crammed into one bed. They had been so tired that they hadn’t even bothered to close the door properly.
Hera was sprawled on top of Leo, her face resting on his chest, mouth slightly open and drooling as she slept soundly.
Her left leg lay across Luke’s stomach, where he was still holding it as if in mid-massage, only to have drifted off to sleep.
Hera’s right hand was on Dave’s face, who lay on Leo’s left side, looking as though he was struggling to breathe, though he was too deep in sleep to do anything about it.
His expression was a mix of discomfort, possibly from a nightmare or a dream that made it seem like someone was suffocating him, which made his face look oddly comical.
Xavier on the other hand, curled up beside Luke, resembled a shrimp in his sleep, but in an undeniably cute way.
He took up most of the bed space, which prompted Leo to pull Hera on top of him, trying to make more room for the others.
The bed was so cramped that Leo didn’t want the others’ hard bodies accidentally suffocating her in her sleep.

Amy stifled a soft giggle as she gazed at the group of them sprawled across the bed, before gently pulling the door closed.
She made her way downstairs to the kitchen, where Hannah was already setting the dishes on the dining table.
As soon as she saw Amy, Hannah wiped her hands on her apron, her face beaming with excitement. “Where are they?” she asked, eager to know if the others were up.
Amy shook her head, a gentle smile spreading across her face. “They’re too tired… still sleeping soundly.” Her smile grew warmer, almost motherly, as if she were watching a child grow up and get ready to leave home. Hannah noticed the look in Amy’s eyes and, understanding what she might have seen, nodded thoughtfully as her gaze drifted to the food on the table.
“How about we call Cindy and Gerald in here to help us finish this up?” Hannah suggested. “I can always whip up a fresh batch when Young Miss and the others wake up. These wouldn’t taste as good if they turn cold or get reheated.”
Amy immediately nodded in agreement. After all, they never liked serving reheated or cold food to their Young Miss.
They all understood the challenges and hardships she faced when living on her own, so now, they only wanted to offer her the best.
Plus, the Avery family wasn’t stingy with their people; a little extra food was nothing to them.
So, they called for Cindy and Gerald, who arrived not long after, as they were nearby. Amy, Hannah, Cindy, and Gerald all dug into the food with enthusiasm while chatting about what had happened with the Barcelona branch, eventually landing on the topic of Hera.
“Is Young Miss alright?” Gerald asked, his concern evident.
“Yes, she’s just exhausted and catching up on some much-needed sleep,” Amy replied with a mysterious smile.
“Wait, don’t tell me… the others are with her? In the room?” Gerald asked, his tone skeptical, but his wide grin betrayed his excitement. He was practically giddy at the thought of witnessing how his Young Miss’s love life would unfold, eager to be in the front row for every moment.
Amy shot Gerald a pointed look before speaking. “They’re all asleep,” she said calmly. “They must have helped Young Miss in their own way, staying up all night with her, investigating.”
She added, her tone reflecting the wisdom that came with age. As the eldest at the table, Amy had a sharp sense for reading people, and she could tell just by their demeanor that they were exhausted from the long hours.
Gerald’s enthusiasm remained unwavering. He simply nodded with a wide grin, slurping his soup with a smile, his eyes squinting in delight as he savored the soup with his thought swirling as if he didn’t hear Amy’s words.
