Chapter 71: Chapter 71 Moving Out
Hera didn’t hesitate to snap a quick picture of her meal before posting it with the simple caption ‘YUM!’ True to her usual style, she refrained from any editing before sharing.
Within moments of posting, her wall was inundated with comments and likes once more, as if her fans were perpetually glued to their screens, eagerly awaiting her next post.
Indeed, Hera’s fans had developed a habit of eagerly anticipating her mealtime posts. They had come to expect that she would share yet another enticing picture of her meal, a prediction that proved to be accurate once again.
If only Hera would venture into mukbang videos, she’d undoubtedly become one of the most watched personalities.
As usual, after snapping a picture, she set her phone aside and delved into her meal, beginning with the salad starter featuring a lamb patty with Yogurt-Tahini Sauce. The lamb was succulent and perfectly cooked, with the herbs and yogurt complementing it superbly. The dish offered a subtle sweetness with a refreshing citrusy kick.
The Thin Spaghetti with Tomatoes, Kalamata Olives, Feta, and Mint was elegantly simple, yet the fresh ingredients combined to create a dish that was both light and satisfying. The slight saltiness from the feta cheese added depth of flavor, while the addition of lobster meat elevated it to a whole new level of deliciousness.
The Whipped Feta with Cucumbers proved to be a delightful combination of simplicity and flavor. The creamy texture of the feta paired harmoniously with the tangy cream cheese spread and marinated cucumber, creating a refreshing bite.
As for the Supper Spanakopita, also known as Greek spinach pies, they boasted a satisfying contrast of crispy exterior and creamy interior, offering a burst of savory goodness with every bite. Meanwhile, Hera enjoyed intermittent sips of Vinsanto, a dessert wine from Santorini, which added a delightful kick without enough alcohol content to leave her feeling intoxicated.
Upon finishing her meal, Hera enthusiastically gave the chef a double thumbs up, which brought a beaming smile to his face. He was particularly pleased by Hera’s reaction, as Old Master Avery, unlike their Young Miss, didn’t share the same hearty appetite. Often, he would either dine out or opt for a lighter meal, which prevented him from fully showcasing the culinary expertise he had honed over decades.
Hera struggled to catch her breath as her phone suddenly illuminated with an incoming call.
“Hello, Miss Dwane?”
“I’m relieved you picked up because this is urgent…”
“What’s going on?” Hera asked as she rose from her seat, intending to take a stroll around the rose garden to aid her digestion before retiring for the night.
“Just as you mentioned, we’ve secured a spot on the Variety Show ‘The Quest,’ and Producer Ryan just contacted me to confirm it. I’ve already agreed to send you, and I’ve also reviewed the contract—it’s all in order,” Betty reported to Hera with evident excitement.
But then, another thought crossed her mind, prompting her to inquire further. “Did you have any involvement in the female artist’s fall?”
“Fall? What do you mean? What happened?”
Betty couldn’t discern if Hera was feigning ignorance or genuinely unaware of the incident involving the female artist who had fallen down the stairs and fractured her leg. Thus, with a hint of skepticism, she relayed what she had heard from Ryan.
Hera was floored to hear that information from Betty, because, as far as she could remember from what Athena said. The female lead would have an opportunity because one of the artists caught a flu, it was not specified if it was a male or female.
Was it the female lead? Or was it someone else? Or perhaps she’s just reading too much about this incident since there was no proof that it was intentional.
However, Hera comprehended Betty’s skepticism, considering she had been the one to inform her of the upcoming slot opening. It was understandable for Betty to suspect Hera’s involvement in the female artist’s fall. Nevertheless, Hera found herself unable to provide any evidence to refute such suspicions.
Hera released a defeated sigh, realizing she hadn’t anticipated this turn of events. Nonetheless, she clarified to her manager that she had been unaware of the incident until Betty informed her.
Despite Betty’s initial skepticism, she could only choose to believe her own artist, understanding that she lacked evidence to prove Hera’s involvement in the incident. Perhaps Hera’s confident assertion about securing the slot was simply a display of optimism rather than connivance.
Resolving to set the issue aside for the time being, Betty informed Hera to prepare her luggage as the show would commence in two days.
After spending an hour walking in the garden, Hera returned to her room and began packing her suitcase. In the midst of it, she heard a knock on the door. “Come in,” she called out without turning around.
“Are you moving into your new place, Young Miss?” Cindy inquired, balancing a tray of warm milk.
Hera tilted her head in confusion at Cindy’s question before clarifying, “I’m actually preparing my luggage for ‘The Quest,’ the Variety Show that’s going to be live-broadcasted in 2 days.”
“Oh! Then wouldn’t it be better for you to actually move into the penthouse so it’ll be easier for you to get to the meeting place?” Cindy suggested.
Hera turned around with excitement. “Is the penthouse renovation complete?”
Cindy nodded, setting the warm milk on the bedside table. “Yes, I’ve just been informed that it’s all set and ready for occupancy,” she confirmed, casting a quick glance around Hera’s room. “Would you like me to summon the servants to assist you with packing?”
Hera surveyed her room, realizing there were too many items to pack and transport to the penthouse on her own. Recognizing the need for assistance, she nodded in agreement with Cindy’s suggestion.

Cindy left Hera alone for a while to enjoy her milk while she called for the servants to assist their Young Miss with packing her belongings.
Upon learning that their Young Miss would be moving out of the mansion, the servants and the chef were all crestfallen. They had grown accustomed to Hera’s presence and enjoyed the liveliness she brought to the mansion. With her departure, they knew things would return to their usual quiet routine.
Hera could only reassure them, promising to visit on weekends and during her free time. She explained that it was simply more convenient for her to travel to school and now to work from her new residence, which was closer to the bustling city center, compared to the mansion located a bit farther away.
Reluctantly, everyone agreed, but they eagerly assisted Hera in packing her things. With their help, everything became much easier for her. In fact, Hera found herself with little to do as the servants insisted she simply sit back and let them handle the work.
Truly, it was more efficient for the servants to handle the packing without Hera’s assistance.
Left with little to do, Hera occupied herself by scrolling through her phone. Soon enough, she received a text message from Betty.
[Betty Dawne: Hera, I’ll need your address so I can send your assistant to support you during your packing and get you acquainted with anything you are not familiar with. We’ll also need it for the pickup in 2 days.]
Hera swiftly replied to Betty, providing her penthouse address without much deliberation.
“Young Miss, I’ll also be moving into the same building as you, just a few floors below. That way, I can be there whenever you need me,” Cindy informed Hera. She continued, “I’ll also arrange for a servant and a chef to accompany us, considering your busy schedule with school and work.”
Hera found herself puzzled as to why she would need to bring along a servant and a chef when she was perfectly capable of managing everything herself. However, upon seeing the servant’s hopeful expression and sensing their eagerness to accompany their Young Miss, Hera decided to hold back her initial inclination to refuse the suggestion.
