Chapter 805: Chapter 805 A New Inspiration
Although he couldn’t be there with her like before to personally cheer her on during the competition, he could still offer his support by taking care of Leo.
This way, Hera could shift her focus away from worrying about Leo and perform better in the competition. It was Zhane’s way of supporting her and cheering her on, even from a distance.
Their eyes met, and a silent understanding passed between them.
Buzz…
The ringer on the table vibrated, signaling that their order was ready for pickup. Zhane stood up, offering Hera another gentle smile before walking off toward the counter. He moved slowly, as if taking a leisurely stroll through a park, giving Hera the space to think without her decision being interfered with, even by him.
She needed to sort through her thoughts and emotions on her own. Zhane had already shared his perspective and made his stance clear, but in the end, the decision had to be hers. If Hera felt too overwhelmed or worried about Leo to focus properly on racing, then he wouldn’t pressure her.
The last thing he wanted was for her to get hurt because she wasn’t fully present behind the wheel. What she needed now was clarity—and the freedom to choose her path.
After all, even though Hera was participating in the finale of the IGI Expressions Competition, she already had a folder full of completed designs to choose from. If she wanted, she could simply select one from the collection to submit—there was no real pressure to create something new. But if she chose to design a new piece within the limited time she had, that was entirely up to her.
As her thoughts drifted to jewelry design, a spark lit up in her eyes. A fresh wave of inspiration hit her—an idea for a new design that perfectly matched the competition’s theme. Suddenly, the desire to bring that vision to life ignited her determination.
And so, Hera messaged Amy.
[Hera: Amy, can you please send my drawing tablet to Providence Everett Medical Center?]
[Amy: Young Miss! Are you okay? Are you hurt?!]
[Hera: I’m fine. I’m just staying at the hospital to look after Leo.]
[Amy: Oh no! Is Master Leo alright?!]
[Hera: He… I believe he’ll be okay.]
[Amy: Do you need a change of clothes, Young Miss?]
Hera then glanced down at her clothes and only just realized she was still wearing the fitted body suit that hugged her curves — no wonder so many eyes had been on her. Earlier, she’d been too lost in her thoughts, spiraling into overthinking to notice anything else.
But now that she was finally taking in her surroundings, she saw that quite a few people — men and even some women — were glancing her way. A few quickly averted their eyes the moment she looked up, making it obvious they’d been checking her out.
Her face instantly flushed red. While Athena always praised her hourglass figure, Hera still wasn’t used to this kind of attention. Embarrassed, she quickly typed a reply to Amy.
[Hera: Yes, please. Prepare some comfortable clothes for me — I’ll be staying at the hospital for a little while. Also, I’ll be flying to France in a few days. You can get the details from Liz or Athena about the exact date.]
[Amy: Miss, is it for the jewelry competition?]
[Hera: Yes.]
[Amy: Oh! Miss Goldsmith and Miss Athena actually stopped by a little while ago. They returned your car keys and dropped off your invitation, flight ticket, and everything else related to the competition. They organized everything into a folder and gave me the departure details.]
[Hera: Oh, so they’ve already come by.]
[Amy: Yes, Young Miss. Since you’ll be staying at the hospital, I’ll pack a separate luggage for you to take to France so you’ll have a change of clothes ready whenever you need them. That way, you won’t have to rush out to buy anything.]
[Hera: Thank you, Amy. Please also inform the bodyguards about the travel schedule so they can prepare in advance. They just need to pick me up from the hospital when it’s time.]
[Amy: Understood, Young Miss. Please don’t forget to eat properly.]
[Amy: Would you like Hannah to prepare your meals and have them delivered to the hospital?]
[Hera: No need. The food here at Zhane’s hospital actually looks pretty good. Just consider this your chance to take a little break—go visit your family while I’m here.]
[Amy: Thank you, Young Miss!]

[Hera: You’re welcome!]
[Hera: Oh, and one more thing—could you please bring this with you when you come? (Image_attached)]
[Amy: Got it!]
[Amy: d(-_^)]
Hera slumped back onto the table, avoiding everyone’s eyes as she pretended not to notice their lingering gazes. The awkwardness was getting to her—but just in time, Zhane arrived with a tray of food he had ordered.
There was chicken soup infused with herbs, a bowl of warm rice, steamed vegetables, pickles, and a few comforting side dishes. Zhane had carefully chosen a meal that wasn’t fancy or extravagant, but nourishing and homey—exactly what Hera needed right now. She was feeling emotional, and this kind of comfort food was far more valuable than any gourmet dish.
As Zhane quietly placed each item in front of her, Hera couldn’t help but break into a wide grin.
‘This man,’ she thought, ‘really does have high emotional intelligence.’ He could read her mood and respond with thoughtful actions that matched her feelings.
Before she knew it, her appetite had returned. She finished two bowls of rice and kept refilling her soup. The chicken broth was not only nutritious but deeply satisfying—and every time Zhane placed more food in her bowl, Hera just nodded eagerly, too busy eating to speak.
For Zhane, seeing Hera eating well brought him a sense of relief. It meant she had begun to stabilize her emotions and wasn’t caught in a spiral of overthinking anymore. She had likely sorted out her thoughts and found a sense of direction.
After all, moping around wouldn’t help either her or Leo. What she needed to do now was keep moving forward while waiting for Leo’s recovery.
They both knew that if Leo were to wake up and see Hera looking exhausted and worn down—having passed up opportunities just to stay by his side—he’d be heartbroken. Rather than feeling touched, Leo would only blame himself for holding her back and making her worry so much.
Not long after Hera and Zhane finished their meal, Amy arrived carrying a duffle bag and a paper bag. Hera immediately reached for the paper bag and peeked inside. Upon seeing what she had been waiting for, a bright smile lit up her face as she looked at Amy gratefully.
She took both bags from her, and then she and Zhane made their way back to his office. Just then, Cindy appeared, looking for Hera to relay some information. As Amy was about to leave, she and Cindy exchanged a polite nod before Amy departed.
Cindy then stepped forward and offered to help Hera with the duffle bag. The two women headed toward the elevator, and while Zhane noticed the interaction, he chose to remain silent and followed them from behind.
