Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Village Tour
“What’s this?” Hera peered inside and spotted the vegetables he had received as a reward.
“Let’s team up. You cook,” Xavier suggested.
Hera was taken aback. ‘Is this what they mean by winning a man over with cooking?’ she mused, feeling incredulous.
As if recalling something important, he added, “And just to clarify, this isn’t a one-time arrangement.” His implication was clear: Hera would be their cook for the duration of the show.
However, Hera wasn’t entirely certain about the nature of the “teaming up” he suggested. Was it solely her responsibility to cook for him, or did it entail working together to earn points and achieve other objectives?
Hera didn’t have the chance to address her confusion, as Xavier had already retreated to his room and showed no signs of leaving anytime soon.
Returning to her own room, Hera hugged the basket of vegetables, lost in deep thought. What she was contemplating remained a mystery to everyone.
[NorthernDuke: How dare he make Hera cook for him?!!!! (ノꐦ ⊙曲ఠ)ノ彡┻━┻ ]
[GoldenLight: @EntertainmentKing This is your fault!!! (╬ Ò ‸ Ó)🔪]
[EntertainmentKing: @GoldenLight, The fuck!!! I’m already annoyed, don’t mess with me!!! ]
[FatherOfCaduceus: I also think it’s your fault… (¬_¬)]
[Dave_Carson: So, this is what you’re annoyed about?! ( ु⁎ᴗ_ᴗ⁎ )ु.。oO]
The other viewers ceased spamming the chatbox of Hera’s livestream as soon as they noticed the first golden VIP username sending a comment. It became apparent that they were still watching the livestream, and their annoyance seemed to stem from Xavier’s growing proximity to Hera, which didn’t make sense to them.
Adding to the mystery was the revelation that the young minister of their country was also tuning in and appeared to be closely affiliated with the other VIP members. His account, like theirs, was a golden VIP and verified by the platform, as they had observed earlier.
Watching the show was not only enjoyable, but viewers also found entertainment in observing the VIP chat and expressing their frustrations in the comment section, it felt very novel to them.
The viewers felt like they were swimming among the whales, as none of them wanted to leave Hera’s livestream. In fact, the atmosphere only grew livelier as word spread across social media.
The Director was equally surprised by this phenomenon. He couldn’t comprehend what it was about Hera that drew such intense attention from wealthy individuals, including the country’s minister, sparking widespread interest and curiosity.
Uncertain whether the current developments were positive or negative, he didn’t feel inclined to celebrate just yet.
Meanwhile, Hera, unwittingly at the center of attention, remained oblivious to the thoughts and opinions of others. She was fully engrossed in organizing her and Xavier’s supplies, strategizing on how to make the ingredients last until the next day, paying particular attention to the fish.
She couldn’t recall seeing a refrigerator in the kitchen earlier, or perhaps she simply hadn’t noticed it. Regardless, she made a mental note to double-check later.
Later on, she descended to meet up with Bry as they had arranged earlier. Before leaving, she requested ice and a cooler from the crew. Once she obtained them, she carefully placed the fish wrapped in leaves inside and sprinkled rock salt over the ice to slow down its melting process.
She made sure to keep everything in her room, because, even if she did not say anything, she noticed how the other participants looked at the things she carried earlier and had already figured out what they were planning.
Xavier’s decision to give her his supplies instead of storing them in the kitchen indicated that they were on the same page. While Hera was currently being calculative, it didn’t mean she wouldn’t assist someone in need, as long as that individual had genuine intentions.
As the saying goes, ‘Everything is fair in love and war.’
When Hera and Bry stepped in front of the cabin, they found the other eight participants gathered there, chatting happily. They encircled the bonfire, toasting marshmallows. Hera glanced around and spotted Alice, cheerfully distributing bags of marshmallows to the others.
Alice also did not forget to extend an invitation to Hera, urging her to join the group for a bonding session. “Hera, why don’t you join us? It’s a great opportunity for all of us to get to know each other better since we’ll be living together for the entire week,” she said with the most beautiful smile she could muster.
Hera shook her head slightly in response. “I’m sorry, I actually already promised Bry that we’d tour the village together.”
Another male guest said. “You can always do the touring tomorrow if you like. You’re welcome to bring your guide along to join in on us.” He did not forget to smile at Hera as he directly stared at her face.
“Thank you, I really appreciate your kind offer,” Hera responded graciously. “But I really enjoy the atmosphere here in this village that I can’t help but be giddy to explore.” Despite her refusal, Hera maintained her polite and gentle demeanor.
A man rose from his seat and approached Hera with a friendly smile. “Come on, I’ll accompany you. I’m actually a city boy and have never been on a farm before. I was also hoping to explore the area, but I was torn because I wanted to spend time with everyone else,” he explained. Gesturing for Hera to lead the way, he adopted a chivalrous demeanor. “Hearing someone appreciate this kind of atmosphere makes me feel like I’ve found a kindred spirit in you,” he added with a charming laugh as they moved away from the group.

“Wait, Hera. Where’s Xavier?” Alice caught up to them after a few quick steps and gently tugged on Hera’s sleeve, her tone slightly anxious.
“He’s resting,” Hera replied almost instantly.
“Could you call him down?” Alice asked.
“You can also call him down. Don’t worry, he won’t bite,” Hera reassured her with a smile. Gesturing for Alice to return to the others, she walked towards the village with Bry and the other guy.
Accompanied by a cameraman, Hera resumed her village tour. As they ventured farther from the group, the sounds of laughter fading into the distance, the guy remarked, “What do you mean he doesn’t bite? He’s been known to chomp people, you know.” His chuckle attempted to mask the comment as a joke, but the seriousness in his eyes betrayed a different message to Hera.
“He’s well-behaved, though…” Hera responded, a hint of confusion in her voice. She pondered whether the guy accompanying her also fell victim to the misinformation circulating online, as she had initially. However, her firsthand experiences had proven otherwise.
“You probably didn’t know because you’re new to the industry, but it’s alright,” he explained. “His fans and most people are aware anyway.”
“Really? But earlier, he seemed perfectly fine,” Hera remarked, tilting her head slightly in confusion as she tried to piece things together. The guy couldn’t help but find her expression endearing, but his impulse to pat her head caught both of them by surprise. Hera stiffened at the sudden touch.
Awkwardly withdrawing his hand, the guy rubbed the tip of his nose nervously. “By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Zen, a newbie actor from UE.”
After recovering from the initial surprise, Hera smiled as if nothing had happened and replied, “Nice to meet you, Zen. I’m Hera, also from the same company.”
Realizing they were colleagues from the same company, Hera and Zen felt a sense of camaraderie that made their conversation flow more easily. Bry guided them to the cattle barn, where they observed the calves and learned about their care. Bry also shared useful tips and reminders for looking after the cattle during their tour.
Following their visit to the cattle barn, Bry led Hera and Zen to the area where the sheep were kept. There, he demonstrated the process of shearing wool from the sheep’s bodies and explained how it was processed before being sold. Throughout the tour, Bry consistently shared interesting trivia about the animals they cared for, enriching their experience.
Gradually, they explored all the livestock on the farm, with Bry ensuring they didn’t miss a thing. He even made a point to show Hera the horse stable.
“Wow! They’re stunning!” Hera exclaimed, captivated by the beauty of the horses.
“Right?!!! I love horses too!” Bry’s eyes lit up with excitement as he spoke, but then his mood dampened. “But, I can’t ride one yet since I’m still small, and the adults are all busy. They can’t accompany me for horseback riding, and they’re afraid that accidents might happen if I go on my own.”
Observing Bry’s disappointment, Hera felt a tug at her heartstrings, and before she could even think, the words spilled from her lips. “I can accompany you on a horseback ride…” Her offer seemed to instantly lift Bry’s spirits, and although she hadn’t planned on it, she couldn’t bring herself to retract her words seeing his excitement.
“Really?!!!” Bry’s eyes widened with excitement.
“Do you know how to ride a horse?” Zen chimed in, his eyes reflecting amazement.
Hera nodded bashfully in response.
