Chapter 238: Version 2.0
Luca always wondered why Princes like Xavier were mindful of asking for permission.
In his past life, he’s never had to give anyone his approval, for no one ever asked for it.
So, he never really knew how to answer all these questions about his opinions, concerns, and most importantly, his consent.
However, in the past months he’s been here, trusting Xavier had proven to be the best choice.
And hopefully, it would prove to be the same as the words still echoed in his mind.
Maybe he would learn something?
And maybe Xavier meant it when he said there was a solution to their problem.
Or maybe he was going to die of heart failure for being unable to process how his body actually functioned.
He had many guesses, but these results were something for later, as one golden-eyed sheep delivered himself to the waiting wolf by giving a small nod.
Luca drew a shaky breath as his fingers curled over the edge of his pajamas, but he still maintained the Prince’s gaze.
Xavier’s back muscles tightened as Luca nodded, but even then, he wanted to make sure that the little Guide wasn’t agreeing just because he was feeling cornered or coerced.
But maybe he was projecting as Luca looked at him with such clarity in those golden orbs that he was suddenly unsure if it was right to introduce him to any of this.
However, wasn’t that more damaging to Luca, who’d have to go on without knowing things that most people would just take for granted?
Yes, definitely.
For no one would assume that one of the Empire’s most popular philanderers would be as innocent as this.
So, who would care to teach him about this?
And more importantly, would Xavier even allow anyone else to teach Luca about these things?
No.
Okay. More like hell no.
Then it was decided.
“Alright.”
It was but a murmur, but the Prince’s resolve had been made as he reached for the nervous but wide-eyed Guide.
“Come here,” Xavier said as he gestured for a spot between his legs.
Now, this position was not new to him.
Whenever they piloted Sid, they sat this way, but with the new things he had just experienced earlier, he couldn’t help his knees from weakening as he obediently did as told.
So, why was his body acting up like this?
Was it because of the guy who patiently waited for him to scoot over?
But having Xavier around was normal for Luca, and he had always been comforted by his presence.
However, today, he just realized that he’d never been this aware of him outside of their guiding sessions.
And it was rather eye-opening.

Literally.
Xavier’s broad and sturdy frame encased him, and the long hair he’d always liked felt ticklish as it brushed against his arms, and that alone had his heart pounding.
Luca couldn’t believe that he was just now becoming aware of all of it, but more than that, he wasn’t sure if this was a good thing.
“It’s okay,” Xavier reassured him, resting his chin lightly on Luca’s head.
“Just like we agreed on, you tell me when you want to stop, and I will.”
Xavier could tell that Luca was nervous, but who was he to judge when his guts were out there trying to either root for him or abandon him?
“Luca, do you remember the ‘intimate hug and rub’?”
Or should he call it XXX like he does?
Yep, that one.
The one that practically jumpstarted their marriage.
And the one that’s got him mortified until today.
So, his question was probably rhetorical, but Xavier thought it was important to ease him by talking about something familiar, and what better way to get Luca to participate than to discuss an attempt?
And for the most part, it worked.
Luca definitely remembered, as he could still recall how he had done so poorly that Xavier had almost died.
He thought that the concept was simple enough, and yet no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get it to work.
And with Xavier bringing it up now, it was rather obvious that he missed something.
Yeah, about three detailed pages that he was apparently about to learn today.
However, all Luca could do was nod dejectedly as the Prince tried comforting him.
“You see, while you can theoretically rub anywhere, there are particular areas that would get you better results.”
Xavier’s hand traced a path along his arm, pausing just above his wrist where the soft pressure of his fingers sent ripples of warmth through his skin.
And it was like Luca was back to square one again.
“Some areas are more sensitive,” continued the Prince, whose voice was low and intimate.
“Like this.”
Xavier’s lips brushed against the delicate skin just below Luca’s ear.
And while the experience was still fresh in his memory, this almost too light sensation differed from earlier.
This one lingered.
And left a tingling warmth that spread down to his neck.
It was unstoppable, and all Luca could do was accept the barrage of sensations.
“Your ears…” Xavier whispered, his lips barely ghosting over the shell of Luca’s ear.
“They’re sensitive.”
He nodded weakly, though his cheeks burned.
“And here.”
Xavier’s free hand trailed to Luca’s neck, his thumb grazing over where his pulse raced rapidly beneath the surface.
It was unsettling.
For unlike earlier, Xavier was deliberately targeting points that made Luca’s skin hum.
“Responding to those is perfectly natural,” explained the white wolf whose other hand now anchored gently against the little Guide’s waist.
But none of this felt natural to someone like Luca, who felt like he was intoxicated.
Which was further worsened when Xavier raised his chin while brushing over his lips.
“And right here, these are definitely sensitive.”
Luca barely had time to react before Xavier’s mouth met his. The kiss was unhurried, like he was taking his sweet time or maybe allowing Luca some time to gather himself.
Who knows?
And yet even then, the Guide had to clutch at Xavier’s arms as his mind was once again lost in the sensations.
It wasn’t practiced ease on Xavier’s part, but hard-earned control that stemmed from wanting to avoid devouring the prey that was within his grasp.
So, even amidst his greed, he’d pull away to remind the little chipmunk to breathe.
And Luca gasped, the air filling his lungs, a contrast to the heat that lingered on his lips.
Xavier had always been cold to the touch, but maybe it was because ice felt hot after prolonged exposure that Luca was left feeling heated.
Or maybe it was just him self-combusting from all of this?
“Are you okay?” Asked Xavier, who kissed the corner of his eye.
“I—I think so,” Luca whispered.
Although maybe he should’ve said no in advance.
But it was too late, as Xavier’s voice, which was thick with restrained desire, murmured, “Good. Then we’ll continue.”
