Chapter 59: Fiancé
For a mere simulation training, Luca wasn’t sure why he clearly felt the effects of that Elder’s kick.
The memory was still vivid, forcing him to look inside his cabin for every single stamina and healing pill he had.
He planned to even make a few so that he could keep on retrying the module. But even with the extended time inside his space, Luca forgot that he still wasn’t in tip-top shape energy-wise. So, what should’ve taken a short time to make his usual pills now used up the remainder of his night.
By the time Luca woke up, his roommate had again been out early.
He was now familiar with the early riser and late-sleeper Xavier’s schedule and was confident that they wouldn’t be running into each other for as long as he maintained his schedule.
But it wasn’t Xavier whom he should be avoiding, well, at least not today.

Patience had never been part of an Orc’s virtue, and as it was, one such Princess had already been at wit’s end trying to patiently wait for the weekend to arrive.
She had to give her proper greetings this Saturday just to maintain the facade of her visit, so that was one day more in her eternal wait.
Thankfully, the weekend finally came, and she could now fulfill her dream.
Princess Tharkira Zulgara of the Pyroan Orcs was not one to be ghosted.
No, Sir.
Not even by her abs-olutely divine fiance, who stopped replying to her messages. For weeks, she had been left staring at her terminal, waiting for a reply that never came.
Her friends and attendants advised her to move on, but how could she?
This was *the* man who had made her green heart skip a beat every time he sent her a shirtless pic. At this point in time, she had already prepared names for their future half-orc, half-human children—Geon, Lumina, and Dave. She’s got it all planned out!
But then these humans decided to have mass conscription, and her Bunbun had to suddenly enroll in the Royal Military Academy. Her Bunbun made a tearful goodbye before he stopped replying, saying that he would now be unable to contact her because of school.
Princess Kira was obviously not having any of it, as someone of her stature not getting her way was just unthinkable! So, she did what any self-respecting Orc Princess would do: she manipulated intergalactic politics for romance.
With a toss of her long crimson hair and a well-timed pout, she convinced her ever-doting father to negotiate a long-term trade deal with the Solaris Empire.
The catch?
A cultural exchange program that conveniently involved her traveling to the academy to “learn” their training methods—and maybe marrying a particular human while she was at it.
And today was the culmination of this dream. She was going to meet her Bunbun.
“Your Highness, where should we start looking for your Fiance?”
“It shouldn’t be hard to look for him. With someone this good-looking, he’s bound to be easy to spot.”
Extremely good-looking, well or so she thinks.
Technically, they’ve never really seen each other. Princess Kira had to keep her identity a secret for obvious security reasons, and her Bunbun was human, while she was an Orc from a totally different galaxy.
But her Bunbun was nice enough to send her a few photos of his body, that fantastic body. And with a height close to hers, she must’ve been really lucky! Sure, he was only about 195cm tall, but if she didn’t wear heels, they’d be the same height!
Perfect. They were perfect together.
And he did mention his features: Long light-colored hair that must’ve shone under the sun and those golden eyes that she longed to see.
So, how could anyone move on from such a guy?!

She would never be able to find someone who looked like her favorite character. As a certified romantic, she had always been frustrated every time she looked at her brethren, not because no one looked good, but because they just weren’t the same.
And they were all so brutish and crude that they skipped the courting entirely! So when her Bunbun courted her ‘properly’ by sending her virtual flowers as well as other virtual gifts and those lovely photos, she felt like she was living in one of her favorite novels.
The only problem was that she was a tad bit green and not a man. But that was fine. Not everyone can be perfect.
Even she, as a respected princess, cannot have it all.
But today, she would undoubtedly have her fill.
She smirked, and her pointed teeth showed just how excited she was to enter the school gates.

Meanwhile, there were ideally no Sunday classes, but they were called in to discuss the trekking exam that would take place in a few days.
It was an activity to familiarize everyone with the areas outside of the dome’s protection and was going to be graded.
They were going to be grouped into pairs according to their class number and should arrange training and planning with their respective partners.
Luca sweated a bit when he heard the instructor mention the grouping. He was definitely going to end up grouped with his roommate.
After days of avoiding him, Luca was still unsure of how to deal with him.
There were no classes, and they could ideally leave after the announcement, but everyone stayed to discuss the grouping and make arrangements to meet. All this time, Luca just stood there trying to think of how to approach Xavier when the guy did it himself.
Initially, Xavier would find this distasteful, but now that he needed information on his roommate and his friend, there was no better opportunity than to use this situation.
So he approached first. Something that even surprised Kyle, who was watching him.
“Hey. We’re going to have to finish that exam as a team. We need to meet to arrange for supplies and strategies.” Xavier was direct, which seemed to be the correct approach because the Chipmunk breathed a sigh of relief.
What was so relieving about this? Xavier wondered.
But Xavier didn’t get to think about things because he immediately felt the shift in the atmosphere. And Luca felt the same thing.
From the ledge he was sitting on, Luca turned his head at the same time as Xavier to witness someone striding into the training hall. She was wrapped in what looked like silk and leather armor, with her tusks gleaming in the sunlight.
It was an imposing sight—all seven feet of what kind of looked like a greenish orc in heels?
Orc? Luca was so dumbfounded at seeing one so tall that he seemed to forget that he even had classmates who were a little different.
Now, the issue wasn’t with her appearance. The issue was how she was stomping toward them with a clear purpose.
For a moment, the whole hall was silent but tense.
Luca sensed the palpable tension and was trying to imitate everyone’s wariness. He hadn’t gotten farther than the Asterion Galaxy in history and hadn’t heard about Orcs. But with how even Xavier was wary, Luca adapted the same vigilance.
Then she suddenly spoke, “Bunbun! It’s me, Kira! I’ve come for you!”
“…”
“…”
“!!!”
It was Jax who was about to say something. But was surprised when Kyle blocked his mouth.
Oh shit.
It’s her!
Kyle really wanted to scream.
He wanted to scream inwardly, outwardly, and even toward the heavens.
How come they keep on encountering the worst possible entities?!
