Chapter 60: Intergalactic Romance
Kyle was right to panic.
He knew about this Orcish royalty because his older brother worked for the Ministry back in the Capital.
It was Princess Tharkira Zulgara of the Pyroan Orcs who was mainly referred to as Princess Kira.
The last time they made a deal for precious ores, his elder brother was almost hospitalized due to stress.
You see, The Pyros Galaxy had been relatively safe from corruption due to the already harsh conditions that made travel rather tricky. Ideally, that would’ve been a bad thing, but not in light of the corruption problem. Difficulty in traveling meant that the contamination speed was also much slower.
But this distance also made it difficult to control everything in the Pyros Galaxy fully. So, while officially it is subservient to the Empire of Solaris, the reality was much closer to a working partnership.
They really valued this partnership, especially since trade with them was of utmost importance in maintaining the steady supply of resources in the Empire.
Now, the real kicker was how negotiations went when it came to their tribal leaders, mainly the Pyroan Orcs.
The Chieftain adored his daughter.
To the point where most of the dealings were done to satisfy this Princess’s desires.
Kyle could not forget how his brother had to scour through ancient texts to look for romance stories as a tribute to the Orcs, who lacked literature and were a group primarily focused on fighting.
Even now, they still curse whoever introduced this princess to romance, particularly romance between men. She apparently found women a bit distant from their physical image, which was hard to relate to because it was like watching their children fall in love. But strong human men were all the rage back in their hometown.
After that ordeal, they thought they wouldn’t hear from her again, but then, just this week, she arrived after negotiating another deal.
It was a long-term trade deal in return for some sort of cultural exchange. But made it clear that it was her Fiance who was the inspiration for this cooperation.
Of course, the Empire was okay with it, and technically, if they were already engaged, then what was the issue?
The issue? The Princess was now eyeballing their Captain, Xavier, as well as his roommate, Lord Luca Kyros.
And she just called out, “Bunbun,” while looking at them. Kyle trembled, and it was only thanks to his reflexes and instincts that he was able to plug Jax’s mouth, which was probably going to open with something that could trigger a civil war.
Kyle’s reaction didn’t escape Xavier’s notice, and he figured this must be the famed Princess.
Xavier didn’t respond because he had no idea who she was talking to despite staring at them.
Who or what was this ‘Bunbun’ even?
Now, while Luca was also similarly confused and imitated Xavier’s indifferent reaction, he didn’t want to stand out, so he was hell-bent on acting like him.
But if they were confused, no one else was more confused than the Princess herself.
She stopped several students to ask about the whereabouts of a certain someone. And everyone consistently told her to go to the training hall.
This time, she dragged one of the students who pointed out a particular direction, and sure enough, there he was.
“It seems you were right; your Highness and your Fiance seem to stand out easily.”
She was sure it was that hottie by the ledge. Long-white hair and that broad shoulders? Perfect. He was very tall, too.
It’s him. So, she called out.
But then those two people turned to face her, and she was surprised at what she saw.

His Bunbun’s physique definitely matched that of the man with white hair. But unless she was suddenly color blind, his eyes were clearly azure blue. The scrawny boy beside him had mesmerizing golden eyes and a face blessed by the gods.
Standing before her were two men who looked suspiciously like her fiancé… or at least pieces of him.
Princess Kira was growing impatient; it was clear how her red eyes started shining as if she was ready to jump at them.
“Alright, you two,” Kira growled, her green skin flushing with frustration. “Which one of you is my fiancé? And don’t even *think* about lying—her claws extended, and the onlookers were suddenly sporting defensive stances.
This is what Ollie, who ran towards the training hall with all his might, witnessed when he arrived.
Ollie knew this woman. Their family was among those who had to help find materials related to her obsession.
So when students by the cafeteria started talking about a giant Orc woman who was stalking toward the training hall, Ollie immediately thought of Luca.
This woman liked men who looked good, and Luca was one such person.
But he didn’t think about one of these two people being the fiancé of the princess, and by the looks on their faces, none of them were betrothed to her.
Ollie gasped, panting as he arrived, but decided to just wing it because he needed to buy time.
“Princess Tharkira, you’re here?” Ollie’s heart thumped in fear, but he at least knew her and hoped that all those novels they found would save his neck for at least today.
The angry princess looked behind her only to see another stick who seemed somewhat familiar.
Ah. The book provider.
“You, you’re the Mylor kid, right?”
“Yes, Your Highness! It’s good to see you, and you seem to be looking for someone?”
“Lucio Montblanc. My fiancé.”
Murmurs could be heard around the hall, and people asked each other if anyone recognized that student.
Xavier and Kyle read through the entire school roster, and no such person existed.
So, why would she look for him here?
And why specifically target him and his roommate?
“With all due respect, Your Highness, the two people before you aren’t named Lucio Montblanc.” But with that uncanny similarity, Kyle was already dreading his attempt at interfering.
He needed more hazard pay.
At least triple the amount.
At this, everyone nodded; none of them was this Lucio Montblanc guy. But only Luca remained frozen as D-29 interjected in his mind.
“Host. This might not be a good time to remind you… But remember how I scanned your terminal?” D-29 sounded very hesitant, and Luca had to mentally prod him to just say it.
“Yeah, what about it?”
“Lucio Montblanc once piggybacked access from your terminal.”
Luca’s eyes wanted to widen, but he reined in his reaction. His knees, though, were totally different and couldn’t be controlled; even the person beside him noticed it.
“D-29, send a message to Butler Gary, ask him if he knew of anyone named Lucio Montblanc.” Luca’s heart thundered at the knowledge that his terminal had traces of this person.
Then, he was taken out of his mental conversation when the Princess stomped on the floor, and a dent clearly showed.
“Liars!” She roared before her eyes narrowed, and her expression turned cold.
“Don’t play dumb with me! I’ve traveled light-years, negotiated trade deals, and sat through *three* cultural exchange lectures just to be here!”
Ollie flinched, and he could tell that his soul was just one more roar away from leaving his body, but he still tried his best.
“Princess, are you sure he managed to get into the school? Maybe he got eliminated by the assessment exams?”
Ollie and Kyle were both praying for the same thing. At the same time, Luca received the dreaded response from Butler Gary.
“Good morning, Lord Luca. I know one such person. It was the person who was supposed to go in your place. We are still looking for traces of him. We apologize for our incompetence.”
Oh.
He’s screwed.
