Chapter 61: Direct Comparison
Princess Kira did not like how these creatures weren’t taking her seriously.
Were they making fun of her?
She had pictures of him, and clearly, it was a combination of these two people. So, one of them must be lying!
She didn’t expect him to be exactly as his picture showed because even she wasn’t above using a bit of retouching in her photos. These two, particularly that white-haired man, were definitely within her standards.
Even that scrawny boy would be perfect if he ate better and underwent those lengthening procedures to increase his height.
But his face was glorious enough for her to ignore his stature, even if it meant hurting her neck just trying to talk to him.
So, she was undeniably angry, and there was no way she would leave without getting married, not after all that effort and not after seeing candidates who could finally pass her standards.
Rejecting her was impossible, especially not when she knew that her Bunbun actually loved her and just sometimes liked to play hard-to-get (in her imagination). Eventually, he would give in after she chased (threatened) him, like in those novels she read.
Kira decided to take out her collection of photos for these cretins to see so that they could finally stop treating her like she was overreacting.
As expected, these people gasped at her Bunbun’s perfection. Well, technically, her Bunbun was now split into two different beings, but the point was even if she could only get half, that was half that she didn’t have before this.
If Orcs weren’t inherently jealous and possessive, she might have considered marrying both.
She looked at them with hungry eyes and pointed toward the White-haired man before licking her lips.
“You!”
Luca was being eaten by guilt.
The moment the Princes pointed at Xavier, Luca couldn’t help but rush over in front of him.
He knew it was impossible for him to block his whole body as he was far shorter, but he moved by instinct.
The photo she showed was a mix of Luca and the actual physique of his double.
Since the real Luca had never really been seen, they had to use a body that would at least resemble that of the Duke’s. As his son, they should be similar.
And unless they looked for young teens, no one would really be the same as Luca, whose vertical growth was slower because of his inexplicable condition.
From what Luca remembered in his memories, the double had ash blonde hair, but since the photos were never full-body, only the light edges were visible.
The face was embarrassing because he was wearing Luca’s face mask in some of these strategically taken photos.
A golden eye could be clearly seen, and Luca was really in panic mode.
And now Xavier was being zeroed in even when he was innocent. He felt terrible for his CP generator and was raking his mind about what he could do.
“You are coming with me. The Empire gave me the right to select my husband, and there’s no use for you to keep running away.”
Kyle knew of this, but the Empire did so because she showed evidence that they were engaged by their own volition (somehow).
But this was a totally different thing! That’s the Empire’s star she’s pointing at, and next to him was the Dukedom’s heir!
Kyle’s blood pressure was shooting up, and he panicked even more when he saw Luca suddenly shield their Captain.
It was an admirable gesture, especially for someone who was beaten up by Xavier himself (he still believes this).
Then, with a hesitant voice, Luca spoke. Thinking of the first solid excuse that he could think of.

“Princess Tharkira, I’d like to apologize for butting in, but if it’s okay with you, could you please show the photos again, especially the ones before what you’re showing now?”
Luca was trembling at this. Of all the creatures he had been faced with, his main fear was actually women. Back when he was still in Tesseris, the most vicious of his original Guiding Center were the women who were very protective of their guides.
Even now, he could tell he was still a bit scared of dealing with them, regardless of race. Thankfully, the female staff, nurses, and doctors here were far too kind and started to give him a different impression.
Xavier wondered what the Chipmunk was thinking, even going as far as shielding him with his trembling little body.
He was directly behind him, and he could tell he wasn’t confident.
Was he just this kind or just too naive?
If that princess actually threw out her abilities to attack, this chipmunk would likely fall at the first hit. But he was even more surprised because he spoke up, asking to see the photos.
The Princess sneered in annoyance but did it anyway.
Luca smiled in thanks, well, tried in his mind, before mentioning his observation. “Princess, while the photo shows a person with a chiseled physique, it’s definitely different from Xavier’s body.”
“???”
No one expected that to come out of his mouth. Some of the onlookers assumed he was going to use the might of his House or something, but a direct comparison of their bodies?
“Also, that wide scar over there? Xavier doesn’t have such a thing, and the photos you showed consistently have them.”
Luca delved into the specifics of what was different. He talked about muscles here and there and even included the count of their abs.
He droned on about it, vomiting out the words like he might not be given another chance to speak if he didn’t say everything in one go.
Luca was serious, and his descriptions were all from his excellent memory. But to everyone else they had started looking very confused the moment he went past the giant scar.
Most people knew they were roommates, so scars were easy to notice, but the rest of his descriptions? Why would he know those?
Xavier’s eye twitched as the Chipmunk talked about the actual count of his abs, and he wasn’t sure if he was helping or trying to kill both of them socially.
He was strangely detailed, but as someone who practically groped him, he wasn’t surprised he knew. It’s just that why does he remember it so vividly?!
Xavier felt drained. It was barely lunchtime.
Then the princess cut him off by saying, “You’re just saying that! How could you know so much?!” She was indignant. She didn’t like how this guy gave such specific arguments (???), and the feeling of losing the fight was not something she could ever accept.
Luca was actually about to say it was because they were roommates, while Xavier just wanted to remove his top to finally end all this. But both people were slower than Kyle and his mouth.
“Princess, it’s impossible for him to lie. It is because of the nature of their relationship.”
“If there would be someone who could confirm the differences, it would definitely be him.”
“What do you mean by that?!” The princess roared again, and a small wind tunnel blew in Kyle’s direction.
“You see, it’s because they’re together!” Kyle said as he shielded his face from the wind.
Onlookers: “???”
Jax: “!!!”
Ollie: That’s it! That’s perfect!
Luca and Xavier: “…”
