Chapter 83: Take Care
Ollie was screaming internally.
The supposed harbinger of death actually felt like crying because he saw deep coring machine parts in the rubble.
This was a military mine.
And anyone with at least one eye would think that he did it.
But Ollie was a good boy who didn’t even get to press the button!
Well, he was partly right.
The people really did look at him differently, but not because of the mine.
Who would care about the mine when this blonde mop blew up the Imperial Crown Prince and the Heir to the Dukedom of Kyros?!
What fine? Ollie was going straight to the vaporizer!
His life was only sustained when a well-meaning soldier from the duchy asked about the direction that the white mecha took after flying out.
This caused heads to turn in unison. Their stalking towards Ollie stopped when someone mentioned a white mecha.
“You saw a mecha?” asked Deputy Officer Curtis, who thought that the Empire of Solaris had just been ended right then and then by a relatively scrawny boy.
The soldier nodded and said it was the same mecha they last saw from the broadcast.
That was partially why they didn’t look as scared as earlier. The mecha was flying without visible external damage.
Their Lord likely survived.
But one person who was likely not to make it was Ollie, who could only rest against a tree as he tried to process his next steps.
Will calling his father help regarding this mine? Maybe he could just pay it off and be done with it?
Then he figured he’d look for Luca and confirm if he was alright. Maybe he would have to answer for it if it were just a mine, but he would lose his allowance at best.
[Ollie: @Luca, where are you? Are you safe? Everyone’s been looking for you?!]
However, instead of getting a response, his mouth was suddenly covered, and when he blinked, he’d already been dragged elsewhere.
“Mmffff!” Ollie tried to say, which roughly translated to, “What do you think you’re doing?!”
But before he could process what was happening, a familiar yet slightly changed person blocked his view.
“?!”
“Luca?!” Ollie almost bit his tongue as it was too tied up to be saying anything that made sense.
“Hi, Ollie! I’m sorry. I wanted to respond to your message but realized that it might be better to come see you myself!”
Surprised at the developments, it actually took a while for Ollie to recognize what felt different from this guy.
“Your hair! What happened to you?!” exclaimed the fake bomber.
The actual bomber, on the other hand, could only explain part of what happened earlier.
“Shouldn’t we tell everyone that you’re back safe?” Ollie patted Luca’s head, assuring him that maybe hair extensions could help!

“Umm… I’d love to, but I have a bit of a problem, you see?”
“Huh?” Ollie wondered what kind of problem Luca could be having. Maybe he was too tired to deal with everyone?
“I think I did something bad.” Luca’s face flushed, and he whispered as if afraid that the trees would be listening to them.
“What’s wrong? Do you need help?!” Ollie imitated Luca’s stance and also scanned around before speaking.
Luca hesitated but figured that Ollie was the only person he could ask for help. Finally, he steeled his heart and said, “I need help with taking care of someone.”
Technically, Ollie had no experience in burying people or making them disappear, but it seemed like today was the day to learn.
Since Luca asked him to take care of someone, then he should try his best.
“Luca, where did you hide the body? From what I know, we should make sure not to leave traces!” Now, Ollie finally understood why Luca had been cowering like that.
His sworn brother wiggled before asking if he could promise never to tell anyone about what he was about to see.
And, of course, Ollie had long been prepared for this. And with this kind of secret, maybe he ought to get one of those poisoned teeth implants?
Anybody would indeed act the same way. Now, he could only pray that no one saw them earlier.
But Ollie’s life had always been very colorful, and when he was young, a fortune teller said he was going to have unique life experiences—such as when they suddenly disappeared, only for him to fall on his ass upon arriving elsewhere.
Ollie blinked several times, trying to check if his eyes were working properly.
Before him was a clearing surrounded by a lush, green forest. Now, while forests weren’t unique, none of the forests he’d ever seen looked like this. The trees stood proud, their leaves forming a canopy that gave them that shaded golden light.
Then, there was a sparkling lake that was practically a mirror, and it perfectly reflected the fluffy white clouds above them.
He’d been to so many places, but he hadn’t seen anything like this, save for those video games they had on the virtual pods.
It was so beautiful that Ollie almost forgot what this actually was.
A crime scene.
*SLAP!*
The poor guy slapped himself awake just to get himself to focus on the actual issue!
Luca was surprised at Ollie’s actions and nearly jumped up.
“What’s wrong? Why did you slap yourself???”
“Sorry! I know we’re here for something important, but I lost my focus for a moment.” Ollie said with one reddened cheek.
He looked like he was on the verge of tears but just sniffled and asked the crucial questions.
“Can I see the body? And the scene? So we can plan what to do?”
Luca felt like it was a good decision to call on Ollie. His brother was really a good and knowledgeable person who was always ready to help!
So, the crime lord dragged Ollie towards the side of the lake, where Ollie could see a wooden tub and a tuft of what looked like white hair.
Ollie’s heart thundered.
Yeah, no, scratch that. It was practically cracking.
Was Luca bullied so badly that he retaliated? Was the guy drowned?
As they approached, Ollie wanted to ask the specifics, but when he looked behind him to see Luca, he was surprised to see him tearing up.
“!”
“What’s wrong?! Did you sustain injuries in the altercation?!” Ollie was sure that Luca was strong but probably not strong enough to fight off someone like that white wolf.
But Luca was really just concerned. He’d waited and tried different things, but nothing worked out. So, he realized he had to call in someone for help.
“Ollie, what do I do? He’s not waking up?” Luca thought he should be up by now, but it’s been a while in his space, and Xavier has still passed out.
He was breathing, but he wasn’t waking up.
Oh no! So, the guy survived? Does he know what happened? Will Luca be implicated once he wakes up?!
“Do you want me to take care of him?” Ollie asked, and Luca nodded.
Ollie figured something like this could have happened if he had been a better brother and had noticed the signs earlier.
“Do you have any solid objects?”
“Will this do?” Luca didn’t know why Ollie was asking for a solid object, but he could remember the frying pan he used last time. That was solid. He was sure of it.
“Okay, this will do. Well then, you can rest assured. Your brother will take care of this for you.”
