The Scrap Tamer - Chapter 118
Chapter 118: Versus The Colossal Primals
Elizabeth stretched her arms before cracking her neck. She glanced down at the small dragon in her hands.
The forged beast seemed to have no intention to take its form just yet.
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow at her dragon, its small body curled lazily in her hands despite the approaching threat.
“You’re not gonna grow?” she asked, shaking it slightly.
The dragon let out a low growl, which translated to “not until my meal’s properly digested.”
“Fine,” she muttered and summoned her sword from her inventory “guess I’ll start without you.”
The ground continued trembling as the two colossal primals emerged from the dense forest, their towering forms now fully visible.
The first one looked like an overgrown gorilla crossed with a yeti. It had black fur covering its entire body, alongside multiple spikes lined along its back.
The spikes let out an orange glow, with waves of heat emitting from them.
The other beast had a massive black exoskeleton with certain parts raised almost like a spike. Its form was that of a rhino beetle but obviously a lot more bigger.
But what was more terrifying than their massive forms, which was approximately 70 feet or possibly more, was the aura they emitted.
Each emitted the aura of a platinum tier primal. The power of just one of these beasts was capable of turning multiple cities into ashes in an instant and yet, Elizabeth was faced with two of them.
Normally, higher-ranked Primals typically despised moving in groups of the same rank due to their extreme territorial nature.
But these two were clearly different, it seemed that they came together to get rid to the one they recognized as a bigger threat, since the primal population had been rapidly thinning thanks to Elizabeth.
“Of course there’ll be two of them” She said before turning back to her dragon “are you sure you want to miss out on all the fun?”
It let out another soft roar before flying to to rest on her shoulders causing Elizabeth’s eyes to twitch a little before she turned back to face face the two colossal monsters.
“I guess I’ll be taking you two on for now” she said with a resigned sigh “alright, let’s do t—”.
Before she could complete what she wanted to say, a stream of flames was shot at her, covering the branch she stood on.
The beam of flame completely passed through the tree she stood on, completely destroying it and multiple other trees 10 meters ahead.
The Gorilla-yeti primal had what looked like a smug smile on its face after sending the attack.
It expected this small creature to at least put up a fight. But that was to be expected, it had killed creatures a lot bigger in an instant so this small creature was never a problem to begin with.
It was about to turn back, now that their territory was safe, it was time to expand it towards the territory that lay just a forest ahead.
That should be pretty easy, after all it was a territory filled with small creatures like the one it had just exterminated or so it thought.
“That was rude,” a voice came from the opposite end of the destruction “at least let me finish my sentence first.”
The primal turned toward the tree where the sound originated, only to see the small creature—who should have been nothing but ash like the surrounding trees—standing unharmed on another branch, without so much as a scratch on her body.
The dragon on her shoulders still sat there looking unbothered. Even with the colossal creatures making the first move, it still seems to have no intention to grow bigger.
The Gorilla-yeti immediately blasted another beam at her and also in a circle around them, making sure to avoid Rhino beetle.
All the massive trees 10 meters around them were completely turned to ash, leaving them in an open field of ash.
“That was really close” yet, the small creature was somehow still alive “thanks for the save, Nova.”
Floating above the two creatures was Elizabeth on her dragon’s back, it had finally taken on its battle form.

Elizabeth, seated comfortably on Nova’s back, spun her sword idly in one hand, with a calm expression.
“Now that you’ve stopped interrupting me,” she said “allow me to return the favor.”
Suddenly, Nova’s throat started glowing and intense purple as it pulled its head a bit back. A stream of purple flames was released from its mouth, headed directly for the Gorilla-yeti primal.
The primal let out a furious roar at the challenge before raising its massive arms to shield itself. The purple flames slammed into it, spreading rapidly across its fur causing the primal to roar in pain as its own heat-resistant body struggled against the intensity of Nova’s attack.
The spikes on the primal’s back glowed even brighter as it tried to absorb the flames being poured at it but failed.
Meanwhile, the Rhino-Beetle primal reacted immediately, it charged forward, the ground splitting beneath its weight as it attempted to slam into Nova mid-air.
“Oh no, you don’t” with its massive size, there was no way Elizabeth would miss its approach.
She kicked off from Nova’s back, diving straight toward the charging primal. she spun in the air, gripping her sword with both hands. The moment she reached striking distance, she twisted her body, bringing the blade down in a sharp arc.
A shockwave erupted the moment her sword met the beetle’s exoskeleton. The force of the strike sent cracks spreading across the beast’s armor-like plating. It let out a screech, stumbling backward, its massive legs trembled from the impact.
Elizabeth landed lightly on the cracked earth, rolling her shoulders as she prepared to charge again.
In comparison to the primal’s size, she looked like an ant but the creature became quickly wary of her after that first strike.
“It held up after all” she said, looking at the sword.
This was a new one, since the last was done from the siege that happened in the city.
Although this sword felt a bit lighter than the last, it felt a lot more comfortable to use. And from the strike she just delivered, it was a lot more durable too.
Nova on the other hand was pouring blasts after blasts of flames at the first primal, complete keeping it in check.
“I guess it’s you versus me then big guy” She pointed her sword at the rhino beetle “try not to die too quickly”
The primal let out a roar as it charged at her again. The ground rumbled with every step it took, as if an earthquake was happening.
Instead of retreating, Elizabeth rushed forward to meet it head-on, gripping her sword tightly. The beetle’s massive horn glowed as it moved faster.
She waited for the last possible moment.
Just as the primal’s horn was about to pierce her, she twisted to the side, narrowly avoiding the full brunt of the charge.
As she spun, she dragged her blade along the beast’s side, the metal scraping against its cracked exoskeleton. Sparks flew as a deep gash appeared, black liquid seeping from the wound.
The primal roared in pain as it skidded to a halt, its eyes filled with fury. It swung one of its massive legs at her, attempting to crush her into paste.
Elizabeth reacted instantly, leaping back and flipping mid-air to create distance. The ground where she once stood cracked and caved under the force of the primal’s stomp.
She landed smoothly a few feet away, as she smirked at the raging beast. She enjoyed toying with the primal.
Before the primal could fully recover from its failed stomp, she darted forward again. This time, she aimed for its exposed underbelly, the one spot where its thick exoskeleton didn’t cover.
With a powerful leap, she propelled herself under the beast, sword glowing faintly as she channeled her soul power into the blade.
This was another feature of his new sword that her previous didn’t have. It allowed her to move her soul power through her sword reinforcing it.
This was why it was possible for her to cut through the primal.
“Let’s see how durable you really are,” she muttered before thrusting the weapon deep into the primal’s underside.
Roar!
The creature let out a pained roar as the sword dug into its underside.
Elizabeth continued digging the sword deeper and twisting the blade as she channeled more of her soul power into it.
The primal thrashed violently, its colossal body shaking the ground beneath them, but Elizabeth held firm.
Then, with a powerful pull, she dragged the sword through its underbelly, tearing a deep gash along its underside. Black liquid gushed out like a river.
The primal let out another earth-shaking roar, its legs buckling beneath it. It staggered backward as it struggled to remain standing.
Elizabeth didn’t give it the chance to recover. She leaped back just as the beast swung wildly in pain, barely missing her by inches.
“That was close” she said and dashed forward again, this time she aimed for its legs.
