The Scrap Tamer - Chapter 156
Chapter 156: The Power Of A Mythic Ranked [2]
Commander Ajax also looked at Vivian with a mix of fear and respect.
This was the first time they had seen such power coming directly from a human, with needing their forged beast and it was terrifying.
Although tamers at platinum rank could do similar attacks, it required a higher amount of soul power but Vivian didn’t look like she had used much of any at all.
She looked like she could comfortably spam those attacks all day without breaking a sweat.
Before Reid or anyone could say anything or approaching her, the earth suddenly trembled.
RUMBLE.
RUMBLE
It was distant at first—like a tremor beneath the earth—but growing louder by the second. Everyone turned toward the source.
“Don’t tell me…” Dean said, trying to make out what was approaching from the distance.
And that’s when they saw it,
Another dust cloud was rising from the horizon but this time, it was bigger than the last and it was approaching a lot more quickly.
One of the scouts standing at the watch tower zoomed in with her ocular gear and gasped.
“Commander!” she shouted. “A massive wave of primals is approaching with multiple Platinum-tier ones among them!”
“How long until they’re within range?” Ajax asked.
The scout quickly looked through her binoculars again, her voice trembling slightly “Five minutes, maybe less.”
“Get ready,” Ajax barked in his usual gruff voice “prepare the defensive formations, now!”
“Don’t worry commander, allow me to handle them.” Vivian then turned to Reid and his team, before adding “looks like the fun’s not over yet.”
Before they could react, Vivian took to the skies. She summoned a flaming spear and headed directly for the approaching primals.
She streaked through the air like a comet, leaving behind a trial of flames.
The approaching primals were soon in sight, with at least three of them at platinum tier but Vivian didn’t care neither did she slow down.
She streaked right through the siege, her spear cutting down any primal in her way until the weaker ones were no more.
All the gold tier and below were immediately burnt down to ash, leaving only the platinum tier ones alive.
She then stopped to face the three remaining primals.
“Alright boys,” Vivian addressed “my son and his friends are watching so let’s make it fun for them.”
For a moment, the primals seemed confused.
They had just blinked for a moment and all the other primals around them had disappeared, replaced by a charred ground and a tiny glowing human.
The first primal, a boar with giant green tusks, let out a furious roar before charging at her.
The ground beneath them trembled as the boar continued its charge.
Vivian calmly watched the primal approach. Although it moved fast enough to become nothing but a blur to the average gold rank tamer, in Vivian’s perspective, it moved as slow as a snail.
Before the boar’s tusk could reach her, she calmly moved to the side and with an almost untrackable move of her spear, the boar’s head fell to the ground, a fountain of blood spraying from it.

But not a single drop of it touched her or her spear. As soon as the blood left the boar’s body, it evaporated into vapor before it could reach her.
She then pointed the spear the spear at the remaining two, an elephant with massive tusks and a red fured bull.
“Alright, who’s next?” She taunted.
Learning from the boar’s mistake, the bull and elephant primals charged together, hoping that it’ll make a difference.
Vivian just smiled and readied her spear but before she could move, a voice spoke directly from her mind.
{I advise ending this as quickly as possible}
Vivian wasn’t surprised by the voice, after all, it had been there for a while now.
Apparently, after the phoenix merged with her, instead of being completely erased, it left behind a will that would act as a sort of guide.
{I sense another wave approaching and fast} the phoenix said.
“Don’t worry, this’ll be over soon” Vivian confidently stated and launched herself forward.
Seeing her approach, the bull let out a moo and was suddenly covered by a red glow. It also appeared bigger and it started moving fast.
It met Vivian head on, the clash completely destroying the ground beneath them but Vivian didn’t move an inch.
The bull suddenly moved back and the Elephant did a follow up attack. It charged forward with its tusks aimed at her.
But Vivian wasn’t fazed in the slightest. With a fluid motion, she ducked beneath the elephant’s tusks as they passed mere inches from her.
In the same movement, she brought her spear upward in a swift arc, striking the elephant’s underbelly. The force was enough to make the beast stagger back and bellow in pain.
It tried stomping her in retaliation but Vivian had already moved out of harms way.
The bull, still glowing with red energy, seemed to grow even larger, its muscles bulging as it charged at her with reckless abandon.
It attempted to slam its horns into her from the side, but Vivian was faster. With a flick of her wrist, she redirected the bull’s charge, twisting her spear to deflect the beast’s attack while using its momentum to force it off balance.
{They’re getting closer} the phoenix notified again, referring to the other wave of primals.
“It’s time to end this then” she said and spun her spear.
She moved forward in a trail of flames and the bull that had already recovered charged to meet her head on.
The impact from the clash this time was a lot more destructive this time, creating a much larger crater this time.
Dust and debris filled the air and when everything settled, the bull’s body lay in the crater, slowly burning to ash.
Vivian didn’t even look like she had just clashed with a platinum tier primal.
She then turned to the elephant who, at this point, was trembling in fear. Vivian gave it a small smile before saying,
“Don’t worry, you’ll join your friends soon”
