The Scrap Tamer - Chapter 177
Chapter 177: Prince Ansu [3]
“The king of Light” Ansu announced as the beast stepped out of the portal.
“How curious” Ruin muttered as he watched the creature exit the portal.
The creature was a lion like beast with its mane burning golden. It’s eyes had a matching golden glow and its body, made entirely of metal, had patterns passing through it emitting the same glow.
The beast stood by Ansu’s side with its glowing eyes locked on Ruin.
“How curious indeed” Ruin repeated, “that’s a very interesting beast you have.”
It could feel the power the beast radiated, and it was the strongest Ruin had felt ever since he stepped on this world.
The Lion growled at the enemy before them. Even though Ruin seemingly had his guard down, the lion could sense how dangerous he was.
“I’ll be sure to keep it as my pet after you’re dealt with,” Ruin continued.
“Mfalme wa Nuru is a gift from the gods themselves, created by our finest blacksmiths,” Ansu said with narrowed eyes, “if you want him, you’ll have to take him from my cold dead hands.”
“Oh I intend to,” Ruin replied with a laugh before launching himself forward.
His clawed hand stretched forward, aiming directly for the prince’s head but before his attack could land,
Bang!
Something crashed into him, sending him barreling to the side and into one of the trees.
In Ruin’s previous attacking position stood Ansu’s lion with the pattern on its body glowing brighter.
Ruin quickly recovered from the attack and stood back up, but he didn’t go completely unscathed.
The part of his exoskeleton armor where the attack landed was blackened and had multiple cracks running along it.
Instead of fear or caution, Ruin burst out in a feat of amused laughter, he sounded almost… happy?
He ran his hand on the cracks before looking directly at the lion and saying, “this makes me want it even more now.”
With that, he disappeared in a blur of movement, this time aiming for the lion instead of Ansu.
The lion also disappeared, matching Ruin’s movements.
Ansu, who couldn’t see what was happening only hearing the occasional booms and the falling of trees closed his eyes.
His actions made no sense in the middle of a battle field and he seemed to pay for those actions when one of the primals jumped at his defenseless self.
Without opening his eyes, Ansu swung his spear, cutting the primal in half.
When he opened his eyes next, their previous brown had faded, replaced by golden ones.
With that he turned to Ruin and Mfalme who were still locked in a battle but unlike before, he could easily track their movements.
With a lunge, he launched himself towards them and before Ruin could react, Ansu’s feet stomped his face, sending him flying backwards.
Confused, Ruin stood back up but Ansu and his forged beast wasn’t about to allow him to recover.
They launched themselves at him, sending out attack after attack. At first, their attacks barely did any damage, creating only small negligible cracks.
But as the attacks continued, they finally had a break through when one of the cracks actually started bleeding.
Ansu narrowed his eyes before mentally communicating to his forged beast, “we focus on the bleeding crack.”

The beast let out an agreeing growl before they resumed their attacks.
Ruin tried his hardest to block the incoming attacks, but it was no use. Ansu and his forged beast were getting faster by the second and soon enough, he could hardly track their movements.
Before long, the damage had accumulated and Ruin was covered in dark purple blood, blood which was his and he could barely move as fast as before.
The battle at this point was over and all that was needed was for Prince Ansu to finish ruin off and finish him he did.
Thrusting his glowing spear forward, it went cleanly through his previously impenetrable exoskeleton armor.
“Disappointing,” Ansu said as he moved the spear upwards, cutting Ruin in half.
The fight was over.
Ansu pet the mane of his forged beast and they both turned back to check on his warriors.
He noted how quiet the battle had gotten since a while ago and he concluded that their battle would’ve also ended by now.
When he turned around, instead of his warriors standing there with proud faces or maybe a couple of wounded warriors but instead, he saw Ruin standing there with a large grin on his face.
His exoskeleton seemed completely untouched, there was not a single crack or burn on it.
“You keep impressing me human,” Ruin said.
Prince Ansu didn’t reply, instead he turned to the corpse of ‘Ruin’ only to find in its place a different primal.
“Ah that,” Ruin said as he saw Ansu looking at the corpse “you see every time I die, one of my pets die and I am revived good as new, pretty neat right?”
Ansu found no humor in Ruin’s words, only frowning at the answer.
“But I don’t think your warriors have the same privilege” with that Ruin moved out of the way, revealing the results of the battle around them.
Ansu’s breath caught in his throat as the spectacle him was revealed.
Littered all around them were the bodies of both the primals and his warriors. All of them lay dead….well all except Bolu.
It seemed the three headed dog primal was having fun toying with him. He slowly crawled forward, both his legs currently in the mouth of the dog.
Clenching his fist Ansu took a battle stance and said, “I’ll make you pay for that, even if I have to kill you again and again.”
“Well, good luck trying.” Ruin said with an amoused grin causing Ansu’s anger to bubble over and he launched himself forward at blinding speeds.
Ruin, seemingly unable to react to Ansu’s speed, just stood there but before the attack could land,.he calmly moved out of the way and retaliated with its tail, swatting Ansu into a tree.
“I forgot to add,” Ruin said with an even larger smile, “everytime I die, I’ll get stronger on revival.”
