Chapter 257: Lana’s Sister
After several minutes of tossing and turning, the transformation was finally over.

“How are you feeling?” Neraxis asked, holding her up by the hand.

Unlike Aurelia’s, her features didn’t change, instead, they were highlighted.

But he likely had his charm stat to thank for that.

“I’m… fine?” Lana muttered as she tapped the air several times.

As she did, her eyes widened.

“I’m SSS+ ranked now? I got a new skill, and… this bloodline lets me teleport anywhere under the sun?” Lana said with disbelief.

“Yep, and watch this,” Neraxis said, and with that, he sent out a small jab toward her heart.

His hand pierced clean through her chest, and now, he held her heart inside his palm.

However, her regeneration was fine since nothing was disabling it, so Neraxis merely squeezed, crushed the heart, and pulled his hand out.

Immediately, Lana shook, but then suddenly widened her eyes again.

After all, her heart had already grown back.

“…Is this immortality?”

“Something along those lines,” Evangeline smirked. “But hey, do you want to lead us toward your sister now? We can try waking her up.”

“Okay, uhh… should we teleport?” Lana asked, excitement clear in her tone.

However, Evangeline flinched and shook her head.

“Nope, we are going there normally, no exceptions.”

“Sure…?”

Neraxis chuckled, and with that, Lana began leading the way.

He definitely didn’t expect to go on such a little side quest, however, having an SSS+ ranked fighter on his side was a great asset. And if he could cure his sister just as easily, then why not.

Therefore, after several minutes, they finally arrived at a hospital.

Neraxis and Evangeline merely tagged along. Lana, on the other hand, had taken off that weird suit of hers and was now in her casual attire.

It seemed like she had worn some kind of strap around her breasts to make it look like she was a man, but when she took the straps off, her size rivaled Evangeline’s.

Nonetheless, no one asked questions, and after taking the elevator, they finally arrived in front of a certain room.

They entered, and immediately, a much younger mini-Lana came into view.

She had the same curly black hair as Lana, and while he couldn’t see her eyes, he could only assume they were also blue.

“Rara, I’m here today as well,” Lana spoke as she sat down beside her. “I brought along a few guests, you could call them my benefactors. And they might be yours too if everything goes well… Though I’m a bit skeptical since one of them is a sadist, and the other is an arrogant prick. But my hopes are high, Rara…”

Evangeline cleared her throat, turning to Neraxis.

“She does know we can hear her, right?”

“Yep…” Neraxis sighed and approached the young Rara.

“I’ll turn her now, so open her mouth,” Neraxis stated, and with a nod, Lana did just that.

Immediately, he pricked his finger, and blood began trickling down into Rara’s mouth.

For a moment, he thought it wouldn’t work since she couldn’t swallow.

However, it seemed like his worries were unfounded.

Damn… I wonder if this’ll work since her connection with me is so terrible? Neraxis thought, but just as he was about to choose the highest one, Evangeline stopped him.

“Wait a sec, I have an idea,” she said with a smirk, and in the very next moment, she dropped a portion of her blood inside Rara’s mouth.

To everyone’s surprise, Rara suddenly shot awake, her eyes widened in shock as she struggled to breathe.

“This is temporary, so don’t take it for granted,” Evangeline stated. “Neraxis, talk with her, raise the connection somehow.”

“That’s a big ask…” Neraxis grumbled and turned to Rara.

“Hey there, kid, uhh…” he stammered, unsure of what to say. “Do you want to be saved?”

Rara merely rolled her eyes at him before turning to Lana.

“Hey sis,” Rara said with a trembling voice. “What is this weird hot dude talking about?”

Her sister was awake, however, Lana seemed frozen and didn’t even utter a single word.

Therefore, Neraxis had to step in again.

“She’s a little shocked right now, but I can tell you in her stead. She was planning something stupid with her life on the line, and I gave her an alternative. So now, I’ll offer that same alternative to you. Do you want to become a vampire?”

“No thanks,” Rara replied with a shrug. “Can you get me a poptart? I’m a little hungry.”

“Of course,” Evangeline said with a smile and took out a poptart from ‘her’ dimensional ring before handing it over to Rara.

“You’re a nice lady,” Rara remarked as she dug in.

In the meantime, Neraxis was unsure of what to do. But just as he thought he would have to go at this limited situation from another angle, Lana finally snapped out of it.

“Rara… You’re back…” Lana muttered, tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Nope,” Rara shook her head, biting into the poptart. “The lady here said it’s temporary, so I’m probably going to go back to sleep in a bit.”

“And I didn’t lie,” Evangeline added. “You have about a minute until she goes back into a coma, so yeah, good luck.”

“R-Rara, let Neraxis turn you into a vampire. If you do, then we can go out for more poptarts, o-okay?” Lana tried convincing her.

“How long have I been asleep for?” Rara asked, amused.

“12 years… You’ll be turning 16 in just a few months,” Lana replied with a smile. “I got you gifts, and I’m—”

“It’s only been 12 years?” Rara cut her off, a small frown forming on her face. “I thought I was gone for longer?”

Unlike Lana, Neraxis and Evangeline caught on to her tone.

“It sounds like you weren’t exactly knocked out for the last 12 years, now were you, Rara?” Neraxis asked, and the moment he did, a small smirk formed on Rara’s face.

“And if I wasn’t?”
