The SSS Ranked Villain's Return - Chapter 303
Chapter 303: Encounter
After a few minutes, the splashing of radioactive water had halted. Instead, a dozen pieces of debris floated up.
Obviously, no one expected Neraxis to detonate a nuke in there. But he just couldn’t help it.
There was a lot of blood, and he could’ve potentially killed the weakened Eternal Sin with that attack.
However, he could tell that might not have been the case since one part of the underground structure still stood. It was the same one where the Eternal Sin’s coffin was located.
It seemed isolated, and it was very likely the doing of Valthor himself.
Nonetheless, Neraxis had a bit of time to glance around, and since he realized his efforts were only somewhat in vain, he proceeded to freeze the entire ocean underneath his feet.
Or as much as he could, anyways. And now, it was time to pinpoint this location inside his mind.
Neraxis made a large spire right above the Eternal Night’s base, and he proceeded to head north, east, west, and south.
After a few hours, he managed to roughly understand where this was.
In fact, it was in the middle of the ocean between the Bralkyr and Laventos continents.
It was a coincidence how he flew past this place on his way there.
But I guess that’s why it works. It’s basically invisible, and it’s not a normal boat route either. No one would be able to spot it unless they scavenged the entire ocean, Neraxis thought with a sigh.
It sucked, but at the end of the day, he knew where it was now. Therefore, Neraxis decided to skip toward another matter.
He glanced at the sun, and then teleported straight to his home city, Argon.
A large chunk of it was decimated from the nuke Celina and Aella had dropped earlier, but thanks to the city’s defenses, only the northern part was destroyed.
As for where his home used to be, it still remained.
Neraxis glided down with a small frown as he entered his abandoned home.
Dust had settled on each shelf, and the ground wasn’t holding up that well either as the squeaking was assaulting his brain.
But there was one thing he had spotted that seemed a bit strange.
There were clothes on the sofa, and they seemed to belong to someone who had lived here not too long ago.
In fact, they had the least amount of dust in the entire house.
Yet just as Neraxis thought to investigate further, he suddenly felt a scorching pain from his spine, and as he turned around, he was greeted with a white-haired, purple-eyed girl staring at him in hatred.
She had a knife embedded in his spine, and frankly, he was surprised it even managed to cut him at all.
“Elara…? You’re alive?” Neraxis muttered, puzzled. I thought he said I killed everyone?
But on second thought, Neraxis halted.
No… I would never kill my sister. Parents? Sure. But Elara has always been good to me, so even if my brain is all jumbled up, there’s no way I’d do that, Neraxis thought as he met her gaze.
In the very next moment, she pulled another knife out of her back pocket, and then threw it toward Neraxis.
It pierced the air and made a whistling sound, and in the end, it was caught right in between his fingertips.
Or so he thought. However, the knife cut clean through his fingers, and then headed straight for his head.
Neraxis’s eyes widened, but he managed to evade in time, only slightly grazing his neck and drawing blood.

She can cut me? She definitely doesn’t seem strong… Neraxis wondered. “Elara, can we talk?”
“I’m going to kill you…” Elara muttered as she suddenly pulled out a giant claymore.
Yet just as she was about to swing it down, Neraxis reappeared right in front of her, grabbed hold of the claymore, and with a single hand, shattered it.
“Let’s talk,” Neraxis said, enveloping her in a certain pressure which made her back down.
As much as he’d love to try explaining himself, he knew better than anyone that Elara would never listen to him.
This Neraxis had killed their parents, and also killed a few other people.
Then again, he didn’t even know half of what kind of horrible things this Neraxis had done.
But that was not the time for sulking.
“Elara, I need you to tell me everything you know about me. Especially what happened after the entrance exam,” Neraxis said.
“And why should I do that?” Elara asked, narrowing her eyes. “Let go of me, and I’ll tell you, how’s that?”
Neraxis sighed as he walked behind her, and pulled out three more knives that could pierce him.
Yet as he tested them on his own skin, he realized they couldn’t pierce, so he turned toward Elara with a puzzled look.
“You have some sort of cutting skill? A chef maybe?”
“That’s a stupid assumption, but I guess it’s not that stupid coming from a stupid person such as yourself,” Elara remarked. “I can cut anything. And no, I’m not a chef.”
Neraxis nodded. “I know. You suck at cooking.”
There was a moment of silence. as Elara once again tried breaking free of the pressure. However, Neraxis had bound her tightly, making sure she wouldn’t escape.
“The sooner you talk, the sooner you can get out, Elara,” Neraxis stated. “Just tell me, and we can go our separate ways.”
“No.” Elara shook her head with a smirk. “Not if you slit your wrist and bleed to death first, ‘kay?”
Neraxis raised a brow and brought his finger up to his wrist before slashing it.
Immediately, blood began gushing out. However, it simply swirled in the air and went back into his wrist.
“I’m a vampire, can’t really bleed out now, can I?” Neraxis said with a chuckle as he went over to the sofa and brought it to Elara.
He sat her down and brought a chair for himself, sitting opposite her.
“Now then, Elara. Do you mind giving me a rundown on what has happened?”
