Chapter 101: What potion
Who was Damien? Had Rose known him for a very long time? Why did he suddenly appear?
Rolan wondered, still looking at the interaction between Rose and Damien.
Rose seemed to be preparing for some event in her movie company, and she would be attending. Rolan pursed his lips and decided that he would join.
“If I could just sneak right there and get my name on that list,” Rolan thought, a smirk curving on his lips. Somehow, he could predict Rose like a sheet of paper.
This show was her other way of keeping herself away from him.
“I’ll not let you leave me, Rose,” Rolan said.
When workers in the studio were passing by with some wide object, he followed them, letting the object hide him. Then, he went to the place where the list for the candidates was.
His name being there might be a loophole, but he could still try his luck. The people holding the wide object didn’t seem to notice Rolan. Right there, Rolan signed his name on the list and used his inhuman speed to run back to his hiding place.
But then, his eyes caught something—Rose and Damien in a posture like they were about to kiss.
The veins on Rolan’s head popped up.
Rolan lost it. He went in harshly, dragging Damien away from Rose and greeting him with a punch, sending Damien to the door. A groan came from him.
“Rolan!!” Rose called to him.
And when he raised his head, he was met with a slap.
He just blinked, his lips parting slightly in shock.
Rolan rubbed his forehead. Thank God it was just his imagination, he thought.
It seemed Damien was done talking to Rose. The studio had closed, and Rose packed her bags, walking outside to the parking lot.
Then, her mouth was suddenly covered, and she was taken into a car.
—
Rose opened her eyes, looking at her surroundings. She was in a car.
Her eyes shifted to the man driving the car.
“Rolan,” she said through gritted teeth, in shock and disbelief.
“What is all this, Rolan? Why did you kidnap me? How dare you!”
Rolan’s lips only curved up, listening to her as she sent him a dead glare.
“You ignored me, Rose. I wanted to bring you to me,” Rolan’s voice was neutral, showing little playfulness.
Rose sent another dead glare at him.
“Rolan, let go of me this instant! Stop the car!” Rose said, her body shaking, showing that she was very displeased.
Rolan sighed, stopping the car at the other side of the road.
When the car stopped, Rose got out, about to run, but Rolan was swift and caught her wrist.
“Where do you think you are going?”
“I’m going away from you, of course,” Rose said fiercely, breathing heavily.

“Who is that man, huh, Rose? Who is he?” Rolan asked, his mind shifting back to seeing Rose and Damien. His anger rose.
“He is the father of my child, of course,” Rose said, looking at Rolan daringly.
“What?” Rolan blinked and asked as if he didn’t hear the first time. He did hear her, but… what?
“Rose, why can’t we be happy together? What is wrong with you? I’m the perfect man for you,” Rolan said, his eyes looking deeper into hers.
Rose only furrowed her brows, about to say something else, but Rolan cupped her head, crashing his lips into hers.
Their lips were interlocked for a long time as Rolan sucked and bit.
The snow was falling heavily. The place was cold, but the interlock of their lips was warm.
—
Zara furrowed her brows, pushing the man who was trying to kiss her with all her might.
“Caleb, can you stop it? You are being so sticky!” Zara’s brows were extremely furrowed.
But as she said that, the man holding her waist extremely tight acted deaf and just went straight to kiss her neck.
“Okay, I won’t kiss your lips, but I’m permitted to kiss other places.”
Zara’s face flushed hearing his deep masculine voice.
It was just morning, and she needed to go see a client. She couldn’t be stuck with the clingy bastard.
“Mr. Caleb, you have work and business to do. You should go to work and do your business. Don’t disturb me, this hardworking lady,” Zara said, talking in third-person POV.
Caleb looked at her with a soft smirk. Then, he caught her lips again, catching her off guard as they fell onto the couch.
Zara found herself breathless in his arms. He was kissing her so softly, like she was his everything.
“Mr. Caleb,” Zara called, her voice low.
“Alright, babe, I heard you. I’ll go out. See you later,” Caleb said suddenly, getting up and walking to the coffee counter.
And for a moment, Zara already missed him.
What a douchebag. He just forgot about the moment.
Zara thought in her heart, watching Caleb’s calm face as he made coffee—like he wasn’t the one who had just kissed her so intensely a moment ago.
“I need to go see Mr. Dokch.”
The client was a difficult one, Zara thought as she got up from the couch, taking her purse. She was already dressed up and ready to head out.
But Caleb, who had woken up late, caught her by the waist like a hungry beast. She wasn’t running away.
Zara sighed with a small smile on her lips as she got up from the couch, walking out of the house.
“Don’t ignore my texts!”
She heard Caleb’s voice from the room, and she just laughed more.
—
Zara arrived at the coffee shop where she was supposed to meet her client.
The man still hadn’t arrived yet, even though she thought he would be early.
“Damn it, he keeps me waiting. I thought I was the one helping him here,” Zara furrowed her brows, mumbling in frustration.
She couldn’t help but call the waiter.
The young waiter walked up to her.
“Give me some orange juice,” she said.
The waiter nodded, then went inside and came back with Zara’s order.
Taking her gaze away from where the waiter had just been, her eyes caught sight of Jennifer.
“What is that bitch doing here?” Zara lowered her head, glaring in Jennifer’s direction.
And Jennifer was talking with somebody. Who was she talking to? Zara wondered, looking at the place where Jennifer was speaking. She put on her earpiece, wanting to hear some of the conversation.
“Is it done?” Jennifer said.
The man sitting next to her said, “Yes, ma’am, it is done.”
“That is good,” Jennifer said with a low smirk.
Zara raised her brow. What were they talking about?
“The witch made the potion very well. It will work perfectly,” the man said.
Jennifer smirked, hearing what the man had said. When he finished speaking, he sneakily walked out of the coffee shop.
Zara furrowed her brows. Poison? What poison?
As she furrowed her brows and asked herself this, she heard Jennifer mumble:
“Rolan, you have been getting out of my control these days. This will keep you in check.”
Zara’s eyes widened with a little realization, hearing what Jennifer had just said.
“Wow, Rose needs to know about this,” Zara said to herself, biting her lips.
But then, her client arrived.
“Greetings, Mr. Dokch.”
