Chapter 112: Reborn mindset
“Rose, if you miss Tobi so much, you can let him come and see you. There’s not much harm if he comes to stay with you. The only thing is that he will cry for some time after he sees your legs.”
Rose sighed. Zara sat beside her, placing the package on the other side.
“No, I don’t want to hurt him now. I don’t want to meet with Tobi until I have recovered.”
“Zara, I swear that I am going to make the person pay—the person who did this to me. I am not going to let them go free. I have suffered enough in my life. I am tired of all this suffering.”
Rose’s decision was evident in her eyes. She had been fed up with all of this. She had been left helpless. Now, even if someone just wanted to come and strangle or choke her, they could, and she would be defenseless against them. She didn’t want to be left helpless, unable to defend herself.
Zara seemed to understand her friend’s concerns.
“Yes, I don’t understand it either. Why is it that all the chaos always happens to Rose?”
She had died in her past life in a bomb blast, and now a bomb blast had left her paralyzed. Who was behind this? Zara wondered.
“Rose, do you have any clues about the person who might have done this to you?”
Rose paused, her expression turning cold.
“I have a clue about who might have done this to me.”
“If not for my lovely sister Jennifer, who else would have done this to me? She’s the one behind this. That bitch, I’m going to find out the reason why she’s been doing all this to me. She’s mean. We’re blood sisters, but I’m going to show her that I’m crueler than she ever could be. I might be keeping silent, but let me tell you, Zara, not everyone is as kind as they seem. I’m going to seek my revenge on Jennifer. She’s not going to get away with it. Dear sister, I’ve been enduring and keeping silent for a long time. I even let things roll off, but I’m not interested in any of them anymore. I just want all of them out of my life. Yes, she can manipulate me and plan things against me, but I just want to be on my own right now. I only care about my son and the things that benefit my son and me. I might sound selfish, Zara, but this is the truth.” Rose said, clenching her fists.
Zara was left silent, looking at Rose, who was filled with venom and fed up with everything that had happened to her. But shockingly, instead of objecting, Zara said, “I stand with you on this, girl. If you want to murder somebody, murder them, and I’ll help you bury the body. You’re not wrong in whatever you’re going to do. You’ve suffered enough. It’s time for you to stand on your own.”
Rose turned to Zara, “Thank you. You’ve always been there for me, supporting me through all the decisions I make in my life. You’re a very good friend. I appreciate all that you’ve done for me. Thank you very much. As for Jennifer, she’s going to have a taste of her own medicine. I will not let her go.”
“Zara, I want to end the chapter of Rolan in my life. I don’t want him in my life again. I’m so fed up with everything. Whenever I’m with him, misfortune and bad things just happen. I’m so sick and tired. I’m going to tell him everything.” Zara turned to Rose in shock, having a bad feeling about what Rose was talking about or what she was going to do.
“Yes, Zara, it’s what you’re thinking. I’m going to tell Rolan about everything, about the rebirth. I don’t care about anything anymore. I don’t care. I give up. I want him to know what happened to me so that he’ll stay very far away from me. He shouldn’t bother me or anything.”
Rose had decided in her mind that she had been keeping her rebirth a secret, not telling Rolan about everything he had done to hurt her in her past life. This memory was only buried in her heart, and she was the only one who knew it, the only one who felt the pain.
“Rolan should also have a taste of that pain that I’ve felt. He should know what I’ve suffered. Let him see if he’s going to keep disturbing me and chasing me like he is doing right now. I’m going to tell him. Zara, will you stand with me on this? You’re my friend, right? You’ll support me?”
Zara looked at Rose, silent for a moment before saying, “Rose, I’m your friend. I’m going to support you, whatever you’ve decided. Since you’ve decided on this, I’ll stand by you. You should tell Rolan the truth, tell him everything that happened.”
And then Rose said, “Zara, you might be shocked by what I’m going to say next, but I hope you’ll stand by me. I’m going to be with Damian. Tobi needs a father, and Damien is the perfect one. He’s my true mate. I will be with him. Rolan was never my mate. I want to cancel him from my life, once and for all.”
Zara’s thoughts were silent, her friend’s mind now stubborn. She wondered what had gone through her mind for her to decide like this. She knew her friend had suffered for a long time, but this was a very dangerous decision. Nonetheless, she would support her. It was her life, and it wasn’t like she was going to murder someone. She was just going to finally let her feelings out. It was better for a woman to express herself, to show people her feelings, rather than hiding them like a man.
“Where is Rolan and Damien right now? What are Damien and Rolan doing right now?” Rose inquired because she was going to meet Rolan at this moment, the time she was going to confront him.
Zara looked at Rose and paused. “He’s competing in tennis with Damian, that’s where they are. So, you want to go and meet him now?”
“Yes, I want to go and meet him now,” Rose said, turning to Zara.
“Okay, you should go and meet him. Just be courageous and do what your heart tells you and what you feel like doing,” Rose nodded to Zara’s words.
Zara later got off the bed, carrying her bag. “I just bought some things to make breakfast. So, look at them here. We’re going to make breakfast. I’m going to make your favorite breakfast. Will you eat?”
Rose pressed her lips together, then said yes, she would eat. She hadn’t been having much of an appetite lately, feeling moody and gloomy, just tired. Her body felt itchy, like she was almost turning into someone else.
It was Zara who always fed her or forced her to eat, and sometimes Rolan would also force her to eat after Zara had left.
Rose lay down on the bed before finally calling Zara. “Did you forget that I’m paralyzed?” Rose said with frustration, controlling herself from shedding tears. She had forgotten to ask Zara to help her with her wheelchair before she went out.
Immediately after that call, the doorbell rang, and Zara rushed in. “Friend, sorry, I forgot about your legs,” Zara said in a low voice, showing her regret.

“It’s okay,” Rose said softly. Then Zara helped her onto a chair and assisted her in pushing her out of the room before Rose was left to do the rest, as it was easy for her to get to the tennis court.
“I have something important to share with you, Rolan.”
