Chapter 125: I don’t like it. No, I’m not a pervert like you
“Why did you chain my hand, Rolan?” Rose struggled, her voice rising with panic. She screamed, thrashing against the restraints that bound her wrist. Rolan had chained her to the bed the moment they arrived at the house he claimed he bought just for the two of them in Switzerland.
She was uncomfortable—something felt off. His voice sounded strange, unfamiliar. Why would he chain her like this? It made her feel threatened. The restraints weren’t just tight; they were dangerous. Her wrists ached, and yet Rolan stared at her with that annoyingly innocent expression.
“I know you, Rose,” he said calmly. “You always like to play smart. Even though your leg is injured… I just know you’re going to try and escape. You’ll leave me.”
Rose cursed silently. Rolan was clever—but completely unreasonable.
‘What does he think I’m going to do? I’m a cripple. I can’t run. Even if I could shift, my wolf can’t walk on four legs anymore…’ The thought burned inside her. She hated this truth. She hated him. His reasoning was ridiculous, insulting—and yet, she couldn’t help but notice how dangerously attractive he still looked.
“Rolan, you better let me go,” she snapped. “You do know what you’re doing is illegal, right? You can’t just kidnap a grown woman. We’re not even in a relationship.”
“Rose, darling…” Rolan moved closer, his face just inches from hers as he laid beside her on the bed. “I brought you to Switzerland so we could have fun—and so I could help you recover. Your legs are hurt. I promise, I’ll make sure they heal before we return.”
“And this restraint?” She glared at him. “You act like it’s nothing. Why are you pretending this isn’t serious?”
He chuckled, almost playfully. “Cough, these are just plastic hand restraints, Rose. Cough. Are you really so weak you can’t break out of plastic restraints?” His smile was soft, almost mocking, as he looked down at the restraints encircling her wrists like they were jewelry.
“Damn you!” she said, rolling her eyes. She looked at the hand restraints and was shocked to see they were rubber hand restraints—the same ones she had been panicking over for so long. Okay, even if they were rubber hand restraints, she was still being restrained, unable to break free, and she hated that feeling.
“Don’t tell me you’re not tempted by those handcuffs on your wrists, Rose. You can’t deny it. I know you better than anyone. Your body has strange reactions that you haven’t discovered for a long time. Hmm, don’t you feel something now that your hands are restrained?” Rolan chuckled lowly, turning so his eyes could meet hers. His breath was warm against her face. Rose was forced to turn her head, not wanting her eyes to meet his directly.
Rolan wasn’t finished. Rose lay helplessly on the bed, wondering what kind of plan Rolan had for them. He had said she wouldn’t be crippled again—that he brought her here so she could heal. She wanted to believe him, but she hoped that in this place, she wouldn’t be tempted to get close to him. She didn’t want anything that would make her heart waver or cause her to fall for him again, forgetting that her love for him had led to her death in her past life.
She had called him when she should have called someone else. Even if Zara was poor and had no money, Zara would have found a way to get the money to release her. Or, she would have gritted her teeth and considered asking her father for help, despite their strained communication because of her mother.
“What are you thinking?” Rolan’s voice echoed, pulling her out of her thoughts. Rose snapped her eyes open, staring at him. She didn’t know when he had gotten back.
“You went to take a cold shower. Why suddenly?” she asked, her tone tinged with mystery, as if she didn’t understand the reason behind his actions.
“Ah, it was just my wolf,” he said, shamelessly lying without a care. Inside his mind, his wolf was raging at him for using him to lie.
“Okay, Rose,” she said, closing her eyes, not wanting to engage in any more conversation. “We’ll try to enjoy this place. You’ll really enjoy it. There will be a lot of fun. We’ll go to many places.”
“I don’t want to imagine it,” Rose interrupted. “I don’t want to imagine anything. I just want to rest.”
“Okay, you should rest. I won’t bother you,” Rolan said. Later on, Rose felt an arm wrap around her waist, and she opened her eyes to find Rolan lying beside her. It was his arm wrapped around her.
“I don’t like it. No, I’m not a pervert like you,” she said, her voice firm and certain. Rolan laughed at her words. “Rose, are you sure about that?” His voice became smooth and low, carrying an edge of sexuality.
“Did you…?” His hands slid over her shirt, moving underneath it to touch her sensitive areas. Rose’s face flushed immediately. Her lips parted in shock, staring at him. “What are you doing, Rolan? Let go! What are you doing? Don’t touch there!” she murmured, her voice trembling.
“I’m not trying to be naughty, Rose. I won’t touch you,” Rolan said, removing his hand instantly, as if he wasn’t the one playing a trick just moments before. Rose stayed silent, looking at him with a mixture of emotions in her eyes.
Well, she hadn’t expected him to take his hands away. She felt… good. His actions had proven her wrong, but at the same time, his arrogant words and his hooligan behavior made her anger flare up.
“Why are you looking at me like that, Rose? Don’t make me do something I’ll regret,” Rolan said, staying low and looking at her with eyes as if he were about to devour her.
“With what eyes am I looking at you?” Rose asked, playing dumb, as if she couldn’t understand the meaning behind Rolan’s words.
“Well, don’t look at me like that. I’m serious,” he replied finally, before grabbing a bedsheet to cover her face. She was shocked by his actions, and he then walked into the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Not long after, the sound of the shower turned on. Rolan seemed to be taking a cold shower.
