Chapter 24: Bullied by others
As her dad saw her downcast, he hesitated but then said, “I’ve heard you. I’ll talk to you later about the company when I find any movie industry that’s going to collapse… That’s not a problem, right?”
She first thanked God that he didn’t seem too mad, and then she immediately nodded at his question. It was perfect—what else could she complain about?
Although when she first heard “collapse,” she was almost discouraged, now that she was thinking about it, it wasn’t such a bad idea.
“Yes, not at all. I need to start from scratch, after all, to prove myself.”
She didn’t want a situation where she had made success and people would point at her, saying that she started off with a functioning company. So, if she was to prove herself, she would have to start from scratch—literally start from scratch.
…
School
Tobi ran happily to his mother when he saw her standing at the school gate looking very beautiful. He took his short legs, running to her hurriedly. “Mommy!” he called. He missed her so much. Suddenly he started crying. Rose hugged Tobi, ruffling his hair.
“What is it, dear?” she asked him, wondering in her heart what might have made him cry. Her voice was soft but steady enough that he could hear it.
“Mummy, someone bullied me in school,” Tobi cried, hugging his mummy tighter.
He hadn’t seen Rose for a long time, so he was sad and happy at the same time seeing her. Some kids had bullied him back at school.
He really missed his mummy. He did not want to go to school.
“Yes, dear, what happened? Go on, tell me everything in detail,” Rose said, wondering in her heart what might have happened. She would be lying if she said that she was not upset by the fact that someone might have bullied her dear son. School was a place to learn and not a place for kids to be bullied. She felt that that was very unruly of the school.
“Who bullied you at school? Rose questioned and frowned, wanting to really know who heavily bullied Tobi. Who could bully such a little child?”
Tobi sniffed, cleaning his eyes. “Mommy, it was some other kids. They were insulting me, saying that I was too short and tiny for their school and that my whole family was also small.”
Rose was closely listening to what Tobi had said. Those kids were bullying her son for some stupid reason, and Tobi had felt offended by it.
Rose controlled herself, thinking for a moment. She held Tobi’s hand, carrying him up. “Come on, let’s go meet your school principal.”
She was going to have some talk with the school authorities. How dare they let such a little kid be bullied? So, huffing her hair in the air, she marched into the school.
Rose saw children passing in the hallway to go back home as school was over. Finding the door to the principal’s office, she saw a tall, slim lady standing at the door who seemed to be a teacher. Rose did not waste time and immediately asked the teacher, “Is your principal around, please? I have some issues to talk with her about.”
Her voice came out soft but carried a weight that felt intimidating.
The female teacher looked up at the beautiful blonde-haired lady standing in front of her. She held a little child with short dark hair. The teacher felt her feelings rising. The beautiful lady had a polite face, and her words seemed polite, but she could sense the weight in them, that there was something wrong and there was going to be a problem.
The teacher cleared her throat awkwardly, looking at Rose. “Yes, ma’am, what is the problem, if I might ask? The principal is busy right now.”
Her words were as polite as possible, and her tone did not sound offensive.
Rose raised a brow at the teacher. What was the teacher saying? Had she not heard her the first time? Though she could sense that the lady was trying to be polite, Rose could still sense the awkwardness in her tone. Rose didn’t want to give her a hard time, so Rose looked down at Tobi standing with her and said to the teacher:
“Here is my son. He is new to this school, and he had just been bullied.”
Her last words came with a smile stretching across her face, but it wasn’t a smile that would make anyone feel settled hearing the words coming from her.
The teacher raised her head with panic as she felt intimidated by Rose’s demeanor. She said to Rose, “Ah, the principal is less busy. You can go see him now.”
Her last words came with an awkward grin. She regretted in her heart why she had refused to let Rose meet with the principal earlier.
Rose narrowed her eyes, looking at the teacher’s gesture. “Well, I thought the principal was busy, but now she is suddenly less busy, which is good for me.”

Her voice was soft, not like a person yelling, but the teacher felt her legs almost trembling.
Rose smiled kindly at her, opening the door, walking into the principal’s office, and gently guiding Tobi with her.
The teacher was left trembling to herself, and she wondered if the lady with the child was a werewolf that made her feel so intimidated.
At the principal’s office, Rose arrived with Tobi, spotting a woman with red hair sitting on the chair. She was in a beautiful blue, sea-colored top.
“Greetings, Principal. I’m a mother of a child that comes to your school,” Rose said to the principal, her voice edged with restraint, measuring her displeasure and not getting carried away by her emotions as a mother.
The principal raised her head slightly, leaving what she was doing. She was now staring at Rose, and Rose could sense her beautiful face.
“Ah, I see. Please take a seat. What brings you here?” the principal inquired. “I hope that my school has not done anything wrong to need your presence here at our school.”
Her voice sounded sultry, like a lady in her mid-40s. Anyone wouldn’t get bored listening to the voice several times.
Rose smiled, observing that the teacher might be a reasonable person, so she chuckled.
