Chapter 67: Rough just the way she likes it
Rose gasped uncontrollably when she felt his hand slip between her thighs, touching her most private place.
When was the last time she had been touched there? It had been so long that she couldn’t even remember. A surge of electricity jolted through her skin, the sensation erupting like a rising volcano, as if setting off a rocket.
Her hips twisted instinctively, a moan slipping out in resistance, wanting to shake his hand off.
But Rolan was distracting her too much. One of his hands was in her mouth, playing with her tongue, while the other teased her core.
“You can’t do this. This is like forcing me into sex,” Rose gasped, blinking rapidly, trying to steady her voice—to push him away.
She was afraid of what might happen next. If she didn’t stop this now, if things went any further, she wouldn’t be able to control herself.
A darker side of her threatened to surface, the part she didn’t want to acknowledge.
“I’m afraid that even if I let you go now, before you reach that window, you’d drag me back to you again,” Rolan murmured in his husky voice, his fingers deliberately tracing and teasing, making her body tremble.
Rose clenched her teeth, forcing herself to look away, her expression twisting into a conflicted frown.
And yet… he was right. She would drag him back.
She acted innocent, the perfect picture of a pure and lovely woman, and perhaps she was. But she couldn’t deny the truth—her own insatiable desire.
No.
No, she couldn’t let herself give in.
Even though her body was aching for him, two things held her back.
First, Tobi was in the next room.
Second, Rolan—she wasn’t supposed to want him.
Her thoughts began to clear, and a dreadful realization hit her.
She was in heat.
Her first heat since becoming a werewolf.
Who would help her with it?
She could pay someone to ease her through it, to endure this period without giving in to Rolan. That’s how determined she was to resist him.
But now, here she was—trapped. Forced to make an impossible choice.
“Can you just go?” She pushed against his chest, wishing she had the strength to shove him away. But he was a man—an Alpha. Stronger. More powerful. She couldn’t make him leave.
“This isn’t resistance, Rose,” Rolan smirked, his voice dark with amusement. “You’re only tempting me further.”
She gasped again, cursing under her breath. His fingers were still in her mouth—he had done it on purpose, pulling them out when she tried to speak, only to push them back when he wanted her silent.
Finally, Rolan withdrew his hand from her mouth.
Then, without warning, he reached for her nightdress and tore it apart, the fabric ripping effortlessly beneath his grasp.
“Rolan—!” she barely had time to protest before her chest was exposed before his hungry gaze.
His hand wasted no time, trailing over her bare skin.

“I missed these,” he murmured.
Rose rolled her eyes, biting back a shudder.
Missed them? He had seen them countless times. Was he not satisfied?
Her heart pounded, her thoughts racing.
She had to make a choice—now.
Would she resist?
Or would she surrender?
“They’re still round and big… still as fair as pale peaches,” Rolan smirked slyly.
Rose clenched her jaw and averted her gaze, refusing to meet his eyes. Her cheeks had turned a deep shade of pink, betraying her, and she was afraid that if she looked at him any longer, she would fall prey to his words. Worse, she feared she might climax before they had even begun.
“I’m still large… and still in the same body you’ve always seen me. This is your limit,” Rose muttered, her senses kicking in as her werewolf instincts tried to push Rolan away.
But she forgot—he was an Alpha.
And she was just a weak woman compared to him.
“You talk too much during sex,” Rolan chuckled darkly. “You never used to. Before, all I could hear were your moans… see your awkward, flushed face… and all I could sense was your sweet, dripping body.”
His words sent an unwelcome shiver down her spine.
“So don’t act innocent now.”
“You’re being silly,” Rose scoffed, rolling her eyes, forcing herself to ignore his hand teasing her sweet spot. “Are you even in heat? Because I heard that when wolves go into heat, they’re impatient. They don’t waste time with words. But you… you’re just talking, Rolan.”
Rolan stared at her intently. His golden eyes burned into her, sending warmth through her body.
“I’m not just any Alpha, Rose,” he murmured. “I could be like the others… but with you, I want everything to be different. I don’t want to treat you badly.”
His voice was hypnotic, wrapping around her like a spell.
The words echoed, again and again, inside her mind.
Her heart clenched. Her vision blurred. She wanted to cry.
If he truly cared for her this much… then why had he let her die?
What was he doing with her sister while she was dying?
She had believed she was pregnant at the time. She had carried his child. But he had let her die. She and their baby had died that day.
And for what?
Her sister had betrayed him, left him standing at the altar.
She had taken her sister’s place to save him from shame—saved him, protected his honor as an Alpha! And what had she received in return? Hate.
She had been sincere. She had been a fool.
She should have simply played her role as the substitute bride and nothing more.
But she had fallen for him.
And that had been her greatest mistake.
Everything came rushing back. The pain. The betrayal. The realization.
Rolan was not at fault.
She was.
She was the fool.
“I hate you so much, Rolan!!” Rose’s voice broke as tears streamed down her face. Her body trembled violently.
“Why did I ever meet you? Why did I have to know you?! I wish I never knew you!”
“No… don’t say that.”
Rolan’s hand covered her lips before she could speak another word.
She tried to protest, tried to keep talking, but he refused to let her.
Rose bit his hand, hard.
He still didn’t let go.
“You seem hurt,” he said softly. “I don’t understand what I ever did to you… apart from being cold. It must be the heat affecting you. Let’s deal with that first. I’m here to help you.”
His words were gentle, warm—so warm it made her feel sick.
She had expected anger. She had expected him to lash out. She had expected him to demand answers, to ask why she was accusing him of something he hadn’t done.
But he didn’t.
Instead, he was acting like a saint.
She didn’t understand.
It was as if they were different people.
As if this was a different timeline.
As if she had been reborn into a world where everyone was the opposite of themselves.
This was the new Rolan, and he was different.
His words were comforting, yet Rose still chose to be stubborn.
“I can handle myself. I don’t need your help,” Rose gritted her teeth and said firmly.
The heat was coming again.
Talking to him in the middle of this situation was helping to suppress it, but the moment she spoke less, it came rushing back.
“Help yourself with what?” Rolan asked, amusement glinting in his eyes. “I know you, Rose.”
A slow smirk spread across his lips.
“You’re too much of a saint. You don’t even own any toys. No dildos, no vibrators… Now, if you did, maybe you could have—”
Rose grimaced at his words.
Ehh?! Was he seriously exposing her like this so bluntly?!
But… he wasn’t wrong.
If she had been born in ancient times, Rose was certain she would have been one of those devout church sisters.
Things like that had never even crossed her mind.
Yet, the moment she met Rolan, everything changed.
