Chapter 85: Tobi wanted to plug his eyes:call a cop on a child
“Get up, Alfred. We’ve been caught,” Rolan said through gritted teeth.
Rose raised a brow at their interaction.
“Oh? What are you doing here, Rolan?”
“Mummy-stealer! What are you doing here?!” Tobi suddenly spat, glaring at Rolan with his big, round eyes, trying to look furious.
“Kiddo, the amusement park is free for everyone. My assistant and I just came to play,” Rolan said shamelessly, acting as if nothing was strange about it.
Alfred stared at Rolan. Was this man serious?! They had company business to handle, not time to play at an amusement park!
“So you came to play, huh?” Rose eyed him with clear doubt. Liar. She wouldn’t believe him—she didn’t want to believe him.
“Then keep having fun with your assistant,” Rose said, turning to leave. But before she could walk away, Rolan suddenly grabbed her hand.
“Which part of the amusement park were you going to? Come on, let’s have fun together,” Rolan said with a cocky smile.
Rose immediately tried to yank her hand free, but he held on tightly.
“Let go of my mummy!”
Tobi rushed forward, determined to be his mummy’s little hero. This bad uncle was trying to steal her again! Not this time!
The small boy ran to Rolan and started punching his legs.
Rolan looked down at the tiny figure punching him. Amused, he chuckled.
“Oh? It seems you’re attacking me. Should I pretend to be hurt?” Rolan teased, his tone dripping with mockery.
Tobi glared up at him, fists still clenched.
“It’s because you’re too tall! Come down to my height so I can beat you!” Tobi said, making a fist gesture.
Rolan smirked but bent down to Tobi’s height, still holding onto Rose’s hand to stop her from leaving.
“Oh? And what will you do, little one?” Rolan taunted, looking at Tobi like he was harmless.
Tobi smiled mischievously, his eyes gleaming with mischief as he watched Rolan closely. Then, without warning, he balled his tiny fist and punched Rolan right in the eye.
Rolan flinched, caught off guard. He quickly grabbed Tobi’s hand, trying to pry it off, but the little boy clung stubbornly to his face, his fingers tangled in Rolan’s eyelashes.
“Ow—hey, let go!” Rolan grumbled, trying to shake him off, but Tobi only gripped tighter.
Rose saw Tobi pulling Rolan’s eyes and rushed to stop him. She quickly grabbed Tobi’s little hands to keep him from dragging Rolan’s face any further.
“Son, stop! Don’t pull his eyes—it’s not good!” she scolded, her voice high with urgency.
Hearing Rose’s voice, Tobi quickly pulled his hands away from Rolan’s eyes.
“Mummy,” he called out, looking up at her with big, innocent eyes as if he had done nothing wrong.
“Why did you pinch his eyes?” Rose asked, holding Tobi’s cheeks gently but firmly.
Her gaze trailed up to Rolan, taking in his condition. He was still squatting on the ground, not reacting, clearly in pain.
Rose felt awkward, offering him a small smile. After all, it was her child who had done this to him.
He was hurt, and yet she had let Tobi do such a thing. Ah, she should have stopped him—but deep down, she had enjoyed watching Tobi’s antics.

Her baby was seeking revenge for her, she thought to herself.
“Are you alright, Rolan?” Rose stepped closer, bending beside him and asking softly.
“Does it hurt? Let me see your eyes.” She reached up, gently pulling his hands away from his face, wanting to see how bad the damage was. No, they couldn’t be too bad. Tobi’s little hands didn’t have that much force… right?
Finally, she managed to lift Rolan’s hands off his face, and when she saw his eyes—puffy and red—she nearly burst into laughter.
“Pfft.” Rose quickly covered her mouth, controlling herself. No, she couldn’t laugh in this situation. Tobi had done this to him.
“Are you okay, Rolan?” she asked again, noticing that he still hadn’t responded.
He was just squinting, rubbing his eyes.
“Damn it,” she heard him curse under his breath.
Well, he seemed fine, she thought. Then, as she continued staring at him, it was as if he sensed her gaze. He slowly blinked, struggling to open his swollen eyes.
“I’d rather let your son pinch my eyes every day if it means you’ll give me this kind of attention,” Rolan said with a smirk.
Rose frowned. This cocky bastard… Even in this situation, he had time to joke around.
“What? Why are you joking right now? This isn’t the time for that. Come on, let’s go greet your pack,” Rose said, standing up and stepping away from him.
Just then, Alfred walked over, standing beside Rolan. His eyes widened as he took in the Alpha’s swollen face.
“Mrs. Rose… what has your son done to the Alpha?” Alfred asked, pointing at Tobi, then back at Rolan.
Tobi did this? He felt a shiver run down his spine just looking at Rolan’s eyes.
“Alfred, enough,” Rolan’s voice, laced with authority, cut through the air.
Rose almost sighed in relief, thinking he would drop the matter. But his next words left her completely shocked.
“I’ll call the cops on the kid.”
Rose stiffened.
Would this be the second time her child ended up in a prison cell?
“What do you mean, Rolan?” Her voice rose, sharp with disbelief. “You’re going to call the cops—on a child?”
Rolan, despite his swollen eyes, still looked annoyingly handsome.
“Yes,” he said flatly. “You need to take responsibility.”
Rose gritted her teeth.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” she demanded, struggling to keep her temper in check.
“Alfred, call the cops now.” Rolan gestured to Alfred, completely ignoring Rose.
That made her even more upset. She was talking to him, and yet he was acting like she didn’t exist—and still had the audacity to call the cops?
At first, Rose thought it was a dumb joke, but when she saw Alfred actually pulling out his phone to dial the number, panic surged in her chest.
“Hey! What are you doing, Alfred? Stop that!” Rose shouted, rushing toward him, desperate to stop his actions.
But before she could reach him, Rolan caught her arm, holding her back.
“Your son did me wrong, so he must suffer.”
Rolan’s cold voice rang in her ears, and Rose struggled against his grip. She raised her head to look up at him—because, unfortunately, he was taller than her.
“You’ve got to be kidding me, Rolan! He’s a child, and you provoked him! What did you expect? That he should just sit there and do nothing?”
“There you go, defending a bad kid,” Rolan sneered. He wanted to get a clear view of her face, but his swollen eyes made it impossible.
“Big bully! Stop bullying my mummy!”
Tobi, who had been watching Rolan restrain Rose, pointed at him with small but fierce glares.
Rolan scoffed. “And what are you going to do, brat? Don’t worry, the cops will be here for you any moment now.”
Tobi stuck out his tiny tongue at him, completely unfazed.
