Chapter 86: Delulu: It was him over her son
Rose, on the other hand, was helpless. This situation was a complete disaster.
And then—
The sound of sirens cut through the tense atmosphere.
Her eyes widened in shock as she realized Rolan wasn’t bluffing.
He had actually called the cops.
The police car pulled into the small parking lot and stopped right in front of them.
Rose clenched her teeth, glancing between Rolan and the arriving officers.
“You really called the cops…? You’re impossible!” she snapped.
Rolan clicked his tongue, ignoring her.
One of the officers stepped out of the van and approached him.
“Greetings, Alpha. We’re the ones who responded to your call. Where is the suspect who hurt you? Show them to us,” the officer said formally.
Rolan sighed dramatically, still rubbing his swollen eyes. He turned his head slightly in Tobi’s direction, though he couldn’t see clearly.
“Officer, it’s this little boy over here. He hurt my eyes. I’m helpless without them—I can’t do anything. What’s his punishment?”
He spoke in such a fake, pitiful tone that even the officer’s lips twitched. Was this really an Alpha acting like he was an Omega or gamma?
“Hm… hurting an Alpha is a serious offense,” the officer said, pretending to think. “I suppose imprisonment would be an appropriate punishment.”
Rolan shook his head and chuckled lowly. “No, prison is too much. How about the mother and child take care of me until I’m fully healed? That seems fair, doesn’t it?”
“You heard him, ma’am,” the officer said, turning to Rose, agreeing with Rolan’s ridiculous demand.
Rose clenched her fists where no one could see. She turned to look at Rolan, meeting his smug, victorious smirk.
His swollen eyes might be red and puffy, but the gleam in them was unmistakable.
So this was his plan all along.
Rose bit her lip, suppressing her anger.
This crazy bastard.
But she kept her expression calm. She didn’t want to live under the same roof as Rolan, but she knew how selfish he could be. If she refused, he might pull an even worse stunt.
“I agree, Officer,” she finally said. “But for how long?”
“Until his eyes are fully healed,” the officer replied.
Rose nodded stiffly.
Fine.
She would find something to cure Rolan in no time. Then she would kick him out of her house as fast as possible.
She wanted nothing to do with him.
“Wait, officer,” Rolan appeared dissatisfied and wanted to stop the cop, but Rose rolled her eyes, hissing at his reaction.

“Wow, Mr. Elwin, you’ve done it again. You’ve found another way to ruin my life.
“Are you not tired? Have you not had enough? Must you always bother me?” Rose spat, her voice filled with frustration.
Alfred turned away, pretending not to listen to the conversation, as if he wanted nothing to do with the drama or the heated argument about to unfold.
“Yes, I’m very happy, Bunny,” Rolan chuckled, stepping closer to her, guided by her scent since he still couldn’t see clearly.
“I won’t let you get what you want,” Rose clenched her fists, glaring at him.
“I always get what I want, Bunny,” Rolan leaned in, his voice low and teasing, a smirk stretching across his lips.
“We’ll see, Mr. Rolan. You can’t have me.”
“Oh, but I will. I’ll make you obedient again, just like you were in the hospital’s bathroom,” Rolan said smugly.
Slap!
The sharp sound echoed as Rose’s palm connected with his cheek.
“That actually hurt,” Rolan groaned, letting out a low chuckle as he rubbed his stinging face.
Rose smirked. Serves him right. He had no right to say such filthy words in front of a child.
“Mummy, I want to pee pee,” Tobi suddenly said, pulling Rose’s attention away from Rolan.
“Okay, baby. Let’s go.”
Rose immediately turned to leave with Tobi, ignoring Rolan completely.
But before she could take another step, his voice came again.
“If you go anywhere without me, Rose, I’ll call the cops again.”
Rose paused, clenching her jaw.
Taking a deep breath, she forced a sweet smile and turned to Tobi. “Tobi, dear, let Uncle come with us.”
Tobi pouted, looking between his mother and Rolan, before nodding. “Okay, Mummy.”
“Well, you got what you wanted,” Rose muttered, stepping closer to Rolan, looking up at him.
“Give me your hand.”
She reached out, her soft delicate hand brushing against his.
Rolan stared at her as she held his hand.
“Yeah, that’s it,” he chuckled, clearly satisfied.
Rose bit her lip where he couldn’t see. So this was it? She was holding his hand again.
Once upon a time, she had dreamed of holding his hand like this. Back then, she had been hopelessly in love, and he had been cold, cruel, and heartless.
But now… now he was the one clinging to her, begging for her attention.
She didn’t trust it.
She couldn’t trust it.
Because in the past, he had always manipulated her with small glimpses of warmth, only to crush her again.
“Rolan, when will you finally be out of my life?” she thought bitterly.
And at that same moment, Rolan had his own thoughts.
“Rose, now that I’ve got you again, I won’t let you out of my sight. Not even for a second.”
“Are you done, honey?” Rose asked Tobi as she adjusted his pants, making sure he was finished. She didn’t want to rush him, so she asked again just to be sure.
Tobi nodded his small head.
Rose smiled at his reaction and said, “Good job.”
Rolan saw this. His vision was getting a little clearer, but his eyes were still swollen. He wanted to roll his eyes at Rose doting on the little devil she had given birth to.
“Are you done attending to him? Now, I think it’s time you attend to me.” Rolan’s voice was bitter, his thoughts obvious in his tone.
Rose furrowed her brows and looked up at him. “Is this how you’re going to disturb me when I’m taking care of my son?” she asked, her voice cold.
“Oh,” Rolan muttered, folding his arms before walking out of the restroom.
Not long after, Rose came out with Tobi. There was nothing else to do in there.
“What am I going to do with you? We should go to the hospital first,” Rose said, her expression clearly showing she didn’t want to deal with Rolan.
