Chapter 90: gravity: To her what she wants.
“It’s all set. The woods are strong and firm, and the leaves are thick and large for some reason,” Rolan said, admiring the tent-like shade he had built.
He had made sure that rain wouldn’t get inside when they went in to rest.
‘Rose must be thinking that I’m powerful right now. I made this tent all by myself. She might even help me wipe my sweat—wait, it’s raining and cold. I can’t even sweat.’
Meanwhile, Rose stared at him, biting her lip as she eyed the tent.
‘Am I going to share this tent with him? Can’t he make another one so I can be comfortable?’
“Did I do great?” Rolan’s voice snapped her out of her thoughts, and she blinked twice.
He never missed a chance to get praise from her, did he? Back then, when she had been busy worshiping him like he was the only man on earth, he had only ignored her. But now, today, he was looking at her with a smirk, waiting for her to acknowledge him.
‘I feel like your body has been swapped because you are very different from the man I knew in my past life. Very different…’
“The tent… it’s finally made,” Rose said, deliberately ignoring Rolan as she walked inside. Finally, the rain stopped drenching her body, and most of the chills faded. She could now rest, but she needed a change of clothes first—she was completely soaked.
At that moment, as she silently complained about the cold, her clothes suddenly began to dry as if understanding her need.
‘Thank you, Yuna,’ Rose thought, knowing it was her wolf’s doing.
Yuna would have been able to help more, but even she couldn’t sense Tobi anywhere. The forest… it felt strange.
“You look dry,” Rolan commented as he stepped inside, his eyes lingering on her before shifting somewhere else—somewhere forbidden.
“Yes… I’m all dry,” Rose said, shifting her gaze as if she hadn’t noticed anything. After the simple reply, she just moved to one side of the tent where a makeshift bed had been arranged, then lay down.
She felt his presence—Rolan walking over to lie down in the limited space.
Rose’s breath hitched when he finally settled beside her.
She closed her eyes, her lashes trembling as she struggled to force herself to sleep.
Rolan’s scent drifted toward her, tempting her like the irresistible witchcraft of the cookies her mother used to make.
‘What is wrong with me?’ Rose squeezed her eyes shut tighter, holding her breath to stop herself from inhaling his scent.
“You keep breathing hard… dealer,” Rolan’s voice came from behind her, sending a shiver down her spine.
‘Why can’t he just stay quiet?’
This wasn’t a moment where she needed to talk to him. If she spoke now, he might notice something was wrong.
“Rolan…” Rose finally whispered when, after a while, she felt his hand slide across her waist.
A tingling sensation spread over her skin as his hand slipped under her clothes, his rough palm brushing against her.
Using every ounce of self-control, she held back her voice, forcing herself not to react.
“Rolan, what are you doing? Stop that,” she whispered through clenched teeth.
She hadn’t expected to feel so weak, like she was going through heat or something.
Her cheeks flushed. She didn’t like how easily she squirmed just from the touch on her belly and waist.
“You smell nice,” Rolan said, his voice hoarse. He had shifted closer, and Rose grew tense.
“Rolan, what are your intentions right now? I hope it’s not what I think it is,” Rose barely managed to find her words.

If only his hand would leave her waist, maybe she could breathe properly. But Rolan’s hand didn’t seem like it would move anytime soon.
“You smell like… divine. I don’t know how to describe it, but you keep attracting me, Rose,” Rolan murmured, his breath now warm against her neck.
Rose thought she had had enough of this, so she grabbed his hand, trying to push it away. But to her surprise, Rolan’s other hand had already moved to her chest, giving it a soft squeeze.
“Rolan—!” Rose almost yelped but quickly controlled herself.
Subconsciously, she turned toward him, and their gazes met.
“Yes, bunny?” Rolan smirked.
Rose’s eyes trembled just before Rolan’s lips captured hers.
An unexpected kiss.
She hadn’t expected him to suddenly kiss her like that.
Her lips were caught and devoured, leaving her unable to make a sound.
Only soft, breathy moans escaped from her throat.
Rolan’s hands were busy elsewhere.
One hand kneaded her chest, fingers teasing her sensitive skin through the fabric. His other hand slowly trailed down from her belly, slipping lower—his fingers tracing the waistband of her panties, grazing her hip curves as the soft fabric slid slightly downward.
Rose’s heart pounded. Every touch sent sparks through her body, setting her skin ablaze like a volcano, while his hands were like cooling ice against her heated skin
She gasped when Rolan’s fingers brushed against her most sensitive place.
“You want me. You’re in heat,” he murmured.
“No, I don’t want you, Rolan,” Rose whispered, shutting her eyes tightly.
But she could feel his gaze on her, burning into her, making her body react against her will.
“You can’t lie, not with the state you’re in right now.”
She refused to hear it. She didn’t want to acknowledge how her body was betraying her.
“Can you just stop it?” she snapped, her voice laced with desperation.
She had to cut him off before he could say anything more—before he could make her feel any more shameful than she already did.
“You’re overthinking, Rolan. I’m just warm because of the rain…” she muttered, hoping he would believe her.
“Oh? Is that so?” Rolan replied casually.
Rose let out a deep breath, thinking he had finally listened and would stop.
But then, his hand moved lower.
Rolan’s fingers toyed with the clasp of her bra, unfastening it with ease. The cool air brushed against her now-bare chest before his hands claimed her soft flesh fully.
Rose clenched her eyes shut, unwilling to believe this was happening.
She didn’t mean to be unfair to Yuna, her wolf, but she wished she hadn’t awakened yet—wished she didn’t have to deal with the heat issue. If she were in her normal state, she could easily punch Rolan the moment he tried to pull something like this.
His fingers reached between her thighs, and she instinctively parted them.
Rolan had been teasing her for so long, but now… now he was about to get serious.
He smirked, watching how her body trembled under his touch.
“Why do you keep pretending?” he murmured, amused. “Acting like you don’t want this.”
Rose let out a tiny whimper, and Rolan chuckled darkly, clearly enjoying her reactions.
“Do you need it? Do you want it?” he teased, his voice low and taunting.
“No, I don’t want it,” Rose bit out, but her voice wavered.
Rolan almost laughed.
She was so stubborn, fighting against what her body clearly craved. It wasn’t something painful—it was just pleasure. If she would just accept it, she might even enjoy the moment.
But to him, it mattered.
They were here, entangled, but with completely different emotions in mind.
“Rose,” Rolan sighed, taking a deep breath as he stared at her face. “You can tell me to stop if you don’t want this.”
Her eyes remained shut, refusing to meet his gaze.
He sensed everything—the rejection, the hesitation. It would feel like he was forcing her, so it was better to ask now.
He didn’t want to hate himself later, nor did he want her to hate him.
But as he waited for her response, none came.
“Rolan…?”
What was he supposed to do in this situation? He was trying to keep his heart steady, waiting, hoping for an answer. But she remained silent.
“What does your silence mean, Rose?” he asked, his voice losing its earlier confidence. He was already considering getting up, even if it meant suffering through the painful frustration of his unresolved arousal.
Then, finally, she spoke.
“Touch me, Rolan. You can only touch me right now. I don’t want to be too intimate with you… but my body wants you.”
Rolan closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as her words sank in.
So, she only wanted his touch.
She was asking him to satisfy her while he was left out, expected to ignore his own desires.
A bitter laugh echoed in his heart.
“Well, I hear you, my lady,” he said, masking the disappointment in his voice.
Since she had made her request clear, he swallowed his pride, ignored his own needs, and focused entirely on her.
“I’ll start, Rose,” he said, his voice steady as he moved on top of her.
He looked down at her.
Her eyes were shut tightly, refusing to meet his gaze.
For a moment, an ugly thought crept into his mind. Did she find him disgusting? Was he nothing more than some beast she didn’t want to see?
Fine. He would just please her—exactly how she wanted.
“Rose, at least look at me,” he muttered. “Don’t you want to see your current toy?”
Her eyes snapped open, staring at him in confusion. Then, she pressed her lips together and quickly turned her gaze away.
But at least her eyes were open now.
With her gaze no longer shut, he spread her thighs, keeping his attention on her face.
Then, he lowered himself down, his lips brushing against the sensitive spot between her legs.
He heard her moan just from his kiss.
The place was already dripping, reacting to his touch.
Rolan felt a sense of satisfaction—he could still make her body respond like this. That realization made him happy.
He was happy to be her toy, to exist only for her pleasure in this moment.
Parting his lips, he let his tongue trail over her sensitive spot, pressing soft kisses against it. Then, he sucked gently, feeling her thighs tremble in response.
But he held them firmly in place.
