Chapter 94: Bad uncle go away
Rose escaped the space containing Rolan and Mrs Stella, taking a deep breath as she reached the area where the doctor sat.
“This kid is really fast. I was in the middle of treating him when he suddenly ran away from my grasp,” the doctor said the moment his eyes landed on Rose.
Rose laughed, brushing back her hair as she muttered apologies to the doctor before sitting down with Tobi next to her. The doctor nodded and resumed his treatment.
Tobi glanced at the doctor, then at Rose, his eyes silently pleading that he did not want to be examined.
“Mummy,” Tobi called, his voice trembling as if he were about to cry at any moment.
Rose’s heart ached at the sight of him. He hadn’t been this scared before.
“Sweetheart, it’s alright,” Rose said with a gentle smile, rubbing Tobi’s hair to comfort him. “The doctor just wants to check on you, so you need to be strong and let him do his job.”
Tobi pouted but eventually nodded as Rose continued to pet him.
“Mummy, I won’t be scared of the doctor anymore,” Tobi said with a small smile, wiggling his short legs on the couch as if his mood had suddenly improved.
Rose watched this and chuckled internally. Her son was truly adorable.
He needed to stay healthy. Nothing should go wrong.
The doctor carefully examined Tobi’s wrist, inspecting it as though he were conducting a serious investigation. Rose’s heart pounded with unease.
What exactly was the doctor looking for?
“Tobi is fine. Nothing is wrong. Nothing bad will happen to him,” she reassured herself silently, closely monitoring the doctor’s every move.
When the doctor finished his examination, he released Tobi’s hand and looked at Rose. His expression was unreadable, making it impossible for her to guess what he was thinking.
Please, what had he discovered? Rose could not remain calm, not when the doctor was looking at her as if he were about to drop a bombshell.
“Ahem, Miss Rose,” the doctor started. “I’m not entirely sure about your son’s condition. He was born with healthy cells, but I’m detecting some irregular movement in his blood. It’s quite strange. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious, but I need to take a blood sample to run some tests.”
The moment Rose heard his words, she felt her heart nearly escape her chest.
What was the doctor saying?
She forced herself to calm down and asked, “What do you mean? Are you going to take his blood for a test?”
The doctor nodded. Rose took a deep breath before agreeing.
“Which day should we do the test? Is it today?” She wasn’t sure what kind of test the doctor planned to run and wanted to confirm.
The doctor gave a small smile. “I have all my instruments here. We can do the test now.”
Rose was about to nod when she saw the doctor open his large medical case, revealing a set of hospital tools.
Beside her, Tobi clung to her arm, looking up at her with wide, fearful eyes. Rose’s heart ached at the sight of his distress.
“Honey, everything will be okay,” Rose said, trying to comfort him.
“No, Mummy! I don’t want to take the test!” Tears welled up in Tobi’s eyes, and Rose felt a deep pang of sorrow.
“Honey, it’s for your own good, okay? What the doctor is going to do won’t hurt that much,” Rose said, refusing to lie to him. She could have told him it wouldn’t hurt at all, but even she knew injections were painful.
Tobi clung to her even tighter, unwilling to let go. After a few seconds of Rose rubbing his back, he finally lifted his small head and said, “Mummy, I’m a strong boy. I’m not scared of anything. Let the doctor inject me. I’m strong.”
Tears almost welled up in Rose’s eyes at his words.

That was her strong boy. Even though he was scared, he still chose to face it like a brave child.
Rose smiled and pulled Tobi into a hug.
“Baby, that’s it. You’re a strong boy. Now, come, let the doctor treat you. Everything will be alright.”
Tobi nodded, and Rose gestured toward the doctor. He hesitantly stepped forward.
Just then, Rolan walked into the room, his sharp gaze locking onto the scene. The doctor was cleaning Tobi’s arm, preparing to inject him.
Rolan raised an eyebrow. Rose, hearing footsteps behind her, turned around to see him.
He was still here? She had almost forgotten about him. Why hadn’t he left yet? What was he still doing here?
“What’s wrong? Why does the doctor need to take his blood?” Rolan asked, his tone serious.
Rose looked up at him, meeting his gaze.
Her breath hitched as he got closer. She blinked and tried to focus, refusing to let his presence distract her. This was about Tobi, not him.
But Rolan, as if oblivious to her attempt to ignore him, simply sat down in the seat right next to her.
God, she wanted to curse.
Why wasn’t he at his house right now? He and her mother should just leave and save her from this mental breakdown.
Meanwhile, the doctor had already begun drawing Tobi’s blood.
Her poor baby—he was making muffled whimpers, and Rose ignored Rolan entirely as she rushed to hold Tobi, comforting him as best she could.
He had to be okay.
Her poor son—this was breaking her heart.
“Mummy, it hurts,” Tobi muttered, and Rose felt her heart shatter.
For a second, she wanted to stop the doctor, to tell him to stop this torture, but she knew it had to be done.
“Sweety, everything is alright. Stay calm, okay?” she whispered.
Tobi, as if clinging to her words, squeezed his eyes shut, but tears still escaped. Rose’s heart broke even more.
Finally, the doctor finished drawing the blood.
He carefully stored the sample in his medical bag with professional precision.
“That’s it for today, Miss Rose. I’ll contact you when the results come out,” the doctor informed her, packing up his equipment.
“Okay, Doctor. Thank you for everything,” Rose said, even though she still felt bitter that he had made her son cry.
Then, she turned to Rolan, focusing her attention on him.
“Your kid isn’t very strong. Look at him—such a crybaby,” Rolan teased, stepping forward and pinching Tobi’s nose.
Tobi immediately opened his mouth and bit Rolan’s finger.
Rose almost laughed at the sight.
Tobi didn’t like Rolan.
That was how it should be.
“Why does he bite so much? I thought he was sick. I should spank his little ass,” Rolan said with a smirk, though she could tell he was joking.
“Bad uncle, go away! Leave our house!” Tobi snapped, sobbing softly.
Rose sighed, realizing he was still hurting from the injection.
