Chapter 102: Help Me Analyze Something

An Nuan took a nap on the comfortable mattress and only woke up around lunch hour.

“You’re awake.” Ren Di spoke when she saw An Nuan sitting on the mattress with a dazed look on her face. “That’s good. Nuan Nuan, should we go out for lunch? Or do you want to order room service?”

An Nuan stretched up her body. “What do you think? I’ll let you decide.”

“Really?” Ren Di smiled. “Then, let’s order something light and have our meal here. We’re going out with your husband later. I think it’s best to reserve some space in my stomach. Later, I’m going to order something delicious and expensive. Nuan Nuan, Lin Xiao Feng would not mind it, right?”

“I think Lin Xiao Feng isn’t someone stingy,” An Nuan said. “I’m not sure where Lin Xiao Feng is planning to take us later. But it should be somewhere good.”

Ren Di walked to the desk and picked up the room service menu. She jumped next to An Nuan and showed her the menu. “Nuan Nuan, I’m having noodles. What about you?”

An Nuan discussed their lunch with Ren Di. Then, she reached for her phone on the side table to check the notifications.

There were a few texts from her group of friends, her mother, and also from Lin Xiao Feng.

An Nuan decided to check the texts from her mother first, worried that something might happen at home. Seeing that her mother only wanted her to help her choose a few clothes, An Nuan finally breathed in relief.

She checked on Lin Xiao Feng’s texts next and saw his reminder about their dinner with Ren Di in the evening.

Lin Xiao Feng told her that his health had improved a lot after resting last night.

Seeing that this man was trying to convince her not to cancel their dinner made her laugh.

“Nuan Nuan, what are you smiling about?” Ren Di asked after she had called the room service. She tried to peek at An Nuan’s phone but could not see anything much. “Who are you chatting with?”

An Nuan put down her phone. “It’s Lin Xiao Feng. He said, “He will come over to pick us up after work.”

Ren Di’s eyes lit up with joy. “Then, he’s getting better, right?”

“I guess so.” An Nuan stretched her body again and yawned. As she stood up from bed to head to the bathroom, An Nuan’s eyes fell on her reflection in the mirror.

Seeing herself in the clothes she got from Lin Xiao Feng’s place made her pause.

An Nuan suddenly thought of everything Lin Xiao Feng had prepared for her in that house. The thought that had been preoccupying her mind early that morning returned.

“Ren Di.” An Nuan turned and looked at her friend again. “Help me analyze something.”

Ren Di was watching television when An Nuan sat beside her. She placed the remote on the coffee table and looked at An Nuan. “What’s wrong? What do you need me to analyze?”

Now that she got Ren Di’s attention, An Nuan began to hesitate. But then, not saying anything would only annoy Ren Di.

“It’s about Lin Xiao Feng.”

Ren Di sat with her legs crossed on the sofa. Her curiosity was piqued upon hearing that this was about An Nuan’s husband.

“Do you think I should come and live with him in Capital City?”

Ren Di could not hide her surprise upon hearing An Nuan’s question. “You… Nuan Nuan, why are you thinking about moving to Capital City? So sudden?” The light in her eyes lit up as a thought came to her mind. “Did Lin Xiao Feng ask you to move in with him? What happened last night?” Ren Di was in the mood to gossip.

“He didn’t.” An Nuan lowered her gaze and sighed. “I was just thinking.”

Ren Di stayed silent and waited for An Nuan to continue saying what she wanted to say.

“When I was at Lin Xiao Feng’s place, Auntie Yu… That is Lin Xiao Feng’s housekeeper. She took me to a room which was prepared for me.”

An Nuan recalled everything that she had seen in the bedroom and mentioned to Ren Di about the toiletries and the clothes that Lin Xiao Feng had prepared for her.

Initially, An Nuan was surprised to see that everything she usually wore was in the bedroom. Later, An Nuan found out that her mother helped Lin Xiao Feng to get everything for her.

Looking at the stuff and the reason Lin Xiao Feng had prepared them made An Nuan think about her relationship with Lin Xiao Feng again.

She then remembered the words she said to Grandpa Lin not too long after she married Lin Xiao Feng.

An Nuan told the old man that she was going to stay by Lin Xiao Feng’s side and help him. She told Lin Xiao Feng’s grandfather that she knew what it meant to become Lin Xiao Feng’s wife and knew that this position was not going to be easy.

But after their wedding, Lin Xiao Feng stayed in Capital City while she stayed in Y City. Lin Xiao Feng would return to Y City every few weeks to see her and his family.

Now that she thought about it, An Nuan realized that she had not done anything to help Lin Xiao Feng.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiao Feng has helped her and her family a lot, especially when it comes to the Pei family.

As those thoughts came to her mind, An Nuan began to wonder if everything that she had said to Grandfather Lin were nothing more than words.

Visiting Lin Xiao Feng’s place made her think of what she could do for that man.

She could not be the one who always received things from him and did nothing to give something back.

Lin Xiao Feng told her that he needed her to be his wife. But how can she help him if she was to stay in a different city?
