Chapter 103: Mayor Jiang

An Nuan chatted with Ren Di for a long time while having their lunch in the room.

Mostly, An Nuan did the talking while Ren Di was listening.

Ren Di helped An Nuan to analyze her situation with Lin Xiao Feng. But in the end, the one who will have to make a choice would be An Nuan.

In the evening, An Nuan and Ren Di dressed up a little bit before they left their hotel room.

As they walked out of the hotel building, An Nuan spotted Lin Xiao Feng’s car parked in front of the entrance.

The door was pushed open and Lin Xiao Feng alighted from his car and waited for the girls to reach his side.

“You are here.” Lin Xiao Feng flashed a smile at An Nuan before shifting his gaze to Ren Di. “Hello, Miss Ren.”

“Hello.” Ren Di greeted the man politely. “Mr. Lin, thank you for the invitation.”

“Don’t be so polite. Just call me by my name.”

After exchanging a few polite words, Ren Di slid into the back seat and closed the door.

An Nuan watched her friend speechlessly. She did not miss the hint of tease on Ren Di’s face before the door was closed. An Nuan knew that Ren Di was thinking about their conversation in the afternoon.

“Come in.”

The voice snapped An Nuan out of her trance. She turned and saw Lin Xiao Feng holding the door for her.

“Thank you.” An Nuan was about to enter the car when she suddenly remembered something. She looked at Lin Xiao Feng and stared at him for a few seconds longer.

“What’s wrong?” Lin Xiao Feng felt awkward to have An Nuan watching him.

“You… Have you really recovered?” An Nuan stared at Lin Xiao Feng’s face, wanting to see if he was feeling any discomfort.

“I’m fine.” Lin Xiao Feng chuckled when he saw the distrusting look on An Nuan’s face. “Really. Or else, you can test my temperature?”

An Nuan thought that it didn’t sound like a bad idea. However, the moment she raised her hand, An Nuan remembered that Ren Di was still around.

She suddenly thought that touching Lin Xiao Feng’s face would be so awkward.

“Forget it.” An Nuan shifted her gaze to the car. “Let’s go. Or else, we will be late.”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng lowered his head and smiled to hide the disappointment on his face. Once An Nuan entered the car, Lin Xiao Feng closed the door before heading to the driver’s seat.

“Where are we going?” An Nuan asked as Lin Xiao Feng drove into the main road.

Lin Xiao Feng told her that he had booked a room at a restaurant. However, he had not told her where he would be taking them.

“There is a good restaurant that a friend had introduced me to,” Lin Xiao Feng said. He glanced at the rear mirror and met Ren Di’s eyes. “Do you have any preferences?”

Ren Di shook her head. “No. I am not that familiar with Capital City. You can choose. As long as it’s something delicious, I am not picky.”

On their way to the restaurant, Lin Xiao Feng chatted with An Nuan and Ren Di about a few attractions around Capital City.

Ren Di was curious about a few places and planned to visit them later.

Unfortunately, their stay in Capital City was not that long.

Now that the fashion event ended, both Ren Di and An Nuan planned to head back to Y City soon.

Lin Xiao Feng promised that he would take them both to play in Capital City the next time they came over.

After driving for a while, they finally arrived at the restaurant.

An Nuan and Ren Di alighted from the car and looked at the scenery before them in amazement.

The restaurant was located on top of a small hill. From where they stood, they could watch the city’s night view. The lights made it look prettier.

“Come on.” Lin Xiao Feng called the girls. “Our room will be on the second floor. You can look at the scenery later.”

Ren Di and An Nuan followed Lin Xiao Feng while discussing the restaurant.

They could see that the place was beautifully decorated with greenery and flowers. The atmosphere was quite relaxing.

A waitress greeted them at the entrance and took them to the private room on the second floor.

“Lin Xiao Feng?”

They were turning a corner when they heard someone calling Lin Xiao Feng’s name.

Lin Xiao Feng was surprised to see a familiar face as soon as he looked up. He adjusted his expression and smiled. “Mayor Jiang.” He shifted his gaze to the woman beside the mayor and smiled. “Madam Jiang.”

“Hello.” The woman nodded politely.

“You are here to have dinner as well?” Mayor Jiang said. “I didn’t know that you like dining at a place like this.”

Lin Xiao Feng cleared his throat. “I heard this place serves good food. Of course, I have to come and try the food once.”

Mayor Jiang smiled. His gaze fell on An Nuan who stood beside Lin Xiao Feng. He noticed both An Nuan and Ren Di but felt that Lin Xiao Feng looked closer to An Nuan.

He gave An Nuan a look over before turning to Lin Xiao Feng again. “This is…”

Lin Xiao Feng stretched his hand and held An Nuan’s hand in his. “Mayor Jiang. Let me introduce… This is my wife, An Nuan.”

The light in Mayor Jiang lit up.

He knew that Lin Xiao Feng got married last month. Mayor Jiang had asked Lin Xiao Feng to introduce his wife to him. However, Lin Xiao Feng would tell him that it was not convenient as his wife was in Y City.

Mayor Jiang did not expect that he would run into Lin Xiao Feng and his wife at the restaurant.
