Chapter 105: Parting

After the meal, Lin Xiao Feng sent An Nuan and Ren Di back to their hotel.

Seeing that Lin Xiao Feng seemed to have something to discuss with An Nuan, Ren Di excused herself to return to her room first.

She thanked Lin Xiao Feng for his treat and blinked a few times at An Nuan, telling her friend to have a proper talk with her husband.

“Do you need me to send you to the airport?” Lin Xiao Feng spoke as Ren Di left.

“It’s alright.” An Nuan flashed a smile. “Ren Di’s friend is going to take us to the airport. You already spent your time with us today. I won’t disturb you with your work.”

Lin Xiao Feng lowered his gaze to hide his disappointment.

A long-distance relationship was not easy.

Lin Xiao Feng knew that he was going to miss An Nuan the moment she entered the elevator.

Parting was never easy.

“When are you going to return to Y City?” An Nuan asked.

“I still have a few things to do,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “I’m not sure when I will be able to return.”

An Nuan heaved a breath.

She planned to talk with Lin Xiao Feng and discuss their relationship. However, she had yet to compose her thoughts. An Nuan planned to think of her relationship with Lin Xiao Feng again when she returned to Y City.

“An Nuan,” Lin Xiao Feng called her name. “Help me to look after my parents when you can.”

“Of course.” An Nuan nodded. “You don’t have to mention this. I would visit your mother even if you don’t say a word.”

“Thank you. Remember to notify me the next time you come to Capital City,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “I can arrange my schedule and take you around to play. I’m sure that there are a lot of places you haven’t visited.”

There was a brief silence between them.

The couple looked at each other awkwardly.

They had a lot of things to say to each other. But the moment they met each other’s eyes, the words they wanted to say seemed to be stuck in their throat.

An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng and tried to smile. “You should go back first.”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng knew that he did not have any excuse to make An Nuan stay. “Go back to your room. Remember to tell me when you’re heading back to Y City.”

After exchanging a few words with Lin Xiao Feng, An Nuan turned around to leave.

Lin Xiao Feng watched as his wife walked away with complicated feelings.

He finally married his white moonlight. However, it would be a while before he could tell her his feelings.

Lin Xiao Feng’s movement halted when he saw An Nuan turning around. His body stiffened and the light in his eyes lit up.

“Lin Xiao Feng,” An Nuan called his name.

She hesitated briefly as their eyes met. An Nuan inhaled a deep breath to calm down and smiled. “Remember to rest when you are not feeling well. Your work is important. But don’t forget your health.”

Lin Xiao Feng nodded. The smile on his face was especially gentle. “Un. I understand.”

An Nuan and Ren Di went back to Y City after playing around Capital City for a few days.

Once An Nuan returned she once again buried herself in work. Too many things happened in Capital City. These days, An Nuan wants to bury herself in work so that she won’t have time to think about things.

As she descended the staircase, An Nuan could hear her elder brother’s voice coming from the kitchen. It seemed that he was discussing something with their mother.

Recalling that she had something to discuss with her elder brother, An Nuan picked up her pace and headed to the kitchen.

Her steps halted upon hearing her elder brother mentioning Mother Pei’s name.

An Nuan stood at the entrance while listening to her elder brother’s conversation with their mother.
