Chapter 113: Lin Xiao Feng was Still Worried

An Nuan followed Lin Xiao Feng into the kitchen and accompanied him as he ate his lunch. She glanced at his plate and noted that her mother had served him a large portion of meat. The ribs on Lin Xiao Feng’s plate were quite large.

Looking at the food that her mother had served Lin Xiao Feng made An Nuan recall her conversation with her mother from a while ago.

Her mother did not conceal her favor towards Lin Xiao Feng.

Her family members’ treatment of Lin Xiao Feng was always better than that of Pei Zhi Yi.

In the past, the person who would get her mother’s special treatment was her father and her nephew, An Yi Ran.

“What are you looking at?”

An Nuan snapped out of her thoughts upon hearing Lin Xiao Feng’s voice.

Lin Xiao Feng lowered the chopsticks in his hand and leaned closer to An Nuan while staring straight into her eyes. “Do you want some of this?” Lin Xiao Feng pushed the bowl of braised ribs towards An Nuan.

“No.” An Nuan drew back when she noticed that Lin Xiao Feng was too close to her. “I had my lunch with Liu Qing. My stomach is full. You can eat. My mom made them for you. You have to eat more.”

“The way you are looking at the food in the bowl made me think that you wanted to take a bite.”

An Nuan lowered her gaze, embarrassed that she was caught staring at Lin Xiao Feng’s food.

Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. He lowered his head and continued to eat his meal.

An Nuan watched as Lin Xiao Feng continued eating and remembered that she had a few things that she needed to discuss with him.

In the past few weeks, An Nuan had given her relationship with Lin Xiao Feng a lot.

Now that he had returned, An Nuan planned to discuss with him face to face.

“Lin Xiao Feng.”

“An Nuan.”

The couple stared at each other, surprised that they were speaking at the same time.

An Nuan had an embarrassed smile on her face.

“Ladies first.” Lin Xiao Feng put down his chopsticks and waited for An Nuan to speak. “What did you want to say to me?”

“I just want to know how long are you staying in Y City this time?”

“Three days. I will return to Capital City before the weekend.”

An Nuan looked surprised. “So fast?” She thought that Lin Xiao Feng would return after the weekend.

“Mmm… I have a lot of work waiting for me,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “This time, I returned to Y City for some business.”

“Oh.” An Nuan sighed as he remembered how busy Lin Xiao Feng could be.

He did not get to relax. He returned to Y City briefly before rushing over to Capital City again.

“Why are you asking?”

“I was wondering if you could make time for me tomorrow,” An Nuan said.

Lin Xiao Feng’s heart skipped a beat. He wanted to tell An Nuan that he would make time for her if she asked.

“I have something to discuss with you,” An Nuan continued.

“You can’t tell me now?”

“It’s not appropriate to discuss it now,” An Nuan said. “It might turn into a long discussion. Moreover, I still haven’t properly figure out what I want to say to you.”

Lin Xiao Feng was curious to know what An Nuan wanted to discuss with him.

“Can I get a hint?”

An Nuan hesitated. “I need your opinion on something. That is all I can say.”

Lin Xiao Feng had mixed feelings.

He was happy to know that he would get to spend his time with An Nuan tomorrow. He might consider it a date. But then, Lin Xiao Feng could not deny that he was a bit afraid of what An Nuan wanted to say to him.

A while ago, he had seen An Nuan with her ex.

Although An Nuan had assured her that nothing happened between them, Lin Xiao Feng was still worried. It seemed that he would lose his confidence whenever it came to An Nuan. He liked An Nuan so much and was afraid of losing her.

“Alright.” Lin Xiao Feng nodded.

An Nuan heaved a sigh of relief when Lin Xiao Feng agreed. “What did you want to say to me earlier?” An Nuan asked as she remembered that Lin Xiao Feng seemed to have something to tell her earlier.

“What a coincidence.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “I was going to ask you if you have free time tomorrow.” He lowered his gaze before picking up the chopsticks again.

“You have something to discuss with me as well?”

Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. “Didn’t you tell me last week that the jewelry you designed has been produced?” Lin Xiao Feng could still remember his conversation with his wife during their daily video call.

An Nuan had a confused look on her face. She could not figure out what Lin Xiao Feng wanted to tell her.

“I talked to Su Ming Yuan a while ago,” Lin Xiao Feng continued. “He wanted to introduce you to a friend he knows. That person had an online fashion platform and was looking forward to expanding. They were looking for a few merchants to work with them.”

“Really?”

“Mhm…” Lin Xiao Feng nodded. “Su Ming Yuan said, if you are interested, he will make an arrangement.”

An Nuan hesitated.

She has been thinking of finding someone she could work with. However, Lin Xiao Feng’s suggestion was too sudden and An Nuan was not prepared for it.

“You don’t have to think that much,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “Just come to take a look at Ah Yuan’s friend’s company and ask questions you wanted to ask. Whether the two of you will work together in the future is something that we can discuss later.”

An Nuan pursed her lips as she considered Lin Xiao Feng’s words. “Just take a look?”
