Chapter 121: You Agreed?

The couple ate their meal in silence.

An Nuan had just told Lin Xiao Feng that she planned to stay with him in Capital City and mentioned her reason. Once their food arrived at their table, the couple no longer spoke to each other.

An Nuan thought that she needed to give Lin Xiao Feng some time and space to compose his thoughts.

Once every few minutes, An Nuan would silently raise her head to look at Lin Xiao Feng’s reaction.

She had said a lot earlier but other than his initial anger, Lin Xiao Feng did not say anything else.

It made An Nuan wonder what was going through Lin Xiao Feng’s mind.

At this time, An Nuan was glad that she decided to order light bites. She did not have much appetite with Lin Xiao Feng’s silence.

An Nuan reached for her glass of water and realized it was empty. She raised her hand and asked the server to refill her glass. Once the server walked away, An Nuan looked up and saw that Lin Xiao Feng was looking at her.

Her heart pounded as their gazes met. An Nuan opened her mouth, wanting to say something. However, the man’s voice made her swallow her words.”

“When do you plan to move to Capital City?”

An Nuan thought that Lin Xiao Feng was going to keep his silence for a while longer. Therefore, she was a bit surprised to hear his question. She quickly composed her thoughts and answered, “I’m not sure. It might take a while for me to prepare. I have quite a few things that need to be packed and things I need to settle. It will probably take me a month or so.”

“Very well,” Lin Xiao Feng said calmly. “Just tell me when you have arranged everything.”

“So, you agreed?” The light in An Nuan’s eyes lit up.

Lin Xiao Feng heaved a faint sigh. “I never thought of disagreeing. An Nuan, it’s good that you decided to stay in Capital City.” He hesitated briefly. “I just did not like to hear you are making your decision because you need to do something for me. ”

“I understand.” An Nuan heaved a helpless sigh as she recalled Lin Xiao Feng’s reaction earlier.

She thought that she understood Lin Xiao Feng quite well based on their long friendship. But after marrying him, An Nuan realized that she did not know Lin Xiao Feng that well. There were a lot of things that she did not know about him.

She understood that Lin Xiao Feng did not mind helping her based on their relationship. But then, An Nuan did not want to feel as if she was taking advantage of him.

An Nuan always believed that a relationship should be equal. Otherwise, one of them would be unhappy.

“Tell me when you are coming,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “I will help you with moving.”

The couple finished their meal in silence.

Lin Xiao Feng paid for their meal before leading An Nuan to the car.

His thoughts were on his discussion with An Nuan earlier.

Lin Xiao Feng was relieved to know that An Nuan had no plan to return to her ex’s side. He was more than happy to know that An Nuan decided to live with him.

He did not agree with An Nuan’s initial reason to move but he realized that An Nuan was right. He needed her.

They were newlyweds and supposed to be inseparable from others.

These days, he could tell others that his wife was living in another city for some reason. But Lin Xiao Feng knew that he could not use this reason forever.

Sooner or later, someone would find that it was strange when he was living apart from his wife for a long time.

Lin Xiao Feng decided to push An Nuan’s reason at the back of his mind.

The most important matter was that the person he likes will soon live under the same roof as him.

However, Lin Xiao Feng did not show his feelings on his face.

He wondered what it would be once they had lived together.

When they were closer, perhaps he could use his chance to win his wife’s heart.

It seemed that there would be a lot of things for him to prepare before An Nuan moved in with him.

When he arrived, Zhang Yu Han’s little daughter, Zhang Li Xue, appeared at the door to welcome him along with the housekeeper.

The little girl was happily telling him about her recent visit to the petting zoo when Zhang Yu Han finally arrived.

“Li Xue, go ahead and find your mother,” Zhang Yu Han said as he patted the little girl on the head. “Tell her that we have a guest.”

Lin Xiao Feng watched as the little girl ran into the house to find her mother.

“Your daughter is always friendly.”

Zhang Yu Han laughed. “She likes it when we have guests around the house.”

“She made a great hostess. Perhaps being in the hospitality industry would suit her in the future.”

Zhang Yu Han narrowed his eyes. “We will see about that.”

His family owned Zhang Worldwide Group. Their business was mainly in the hospitality industry.

Although Zhang Yu Han hoped that his children would continue to manage the family business, he wanted to give them the freedom to do whatever they like in the future.

“I am not disturbing you, am I?” Lin Xiao Feng asked once he looked at his friend.

“Of course, not.” Zhang Yu Han chuckled. “You are more than welcome.” He motioned for Lin Xiao Feng to follow him into the house where they could continue their chat.

Lin Xiao Feng sat on the sofa and leaned back.

“You haven’t returned to Y City in a while,” Zhang Yu Han pointed out. “Is everything alright in Capital City?”

Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. “It’s alright. I was busy with a new development project. The mayor has been introducing me to a lot of people.”

Zhang Yu Han nodded. He knew well that socializing was very tiring.

“What brings you here?” Zhang Yu Han asked as he sat across from Lin Xiao Feng. “You called me a while ago, telling me that you have something important to discuss.”
