Chapter 124: Wedding Discussion

After the meal, Song Lian and Shi Xi sat in the living room with a few albums on the coffee table. The two older women were very excited to discuss their children’s wedding with An Nuan announcing that she planned to live with Lin Xiao Feng in Capital City.

An Nuan sat at the side while listening to her mother discussing the wedding theme of her wedding with Lin Xiao Feng.

She realized that her mother was not this excited when she was planning her wedding with Pei Zhi Yi.

Her mother’s favoritism towards Lin Xiao Feng was too obvious.

“Nuan Nuan, look at this.” Song Luan leaned over to her daughter-in-law with the album in her hand. “What do you think about this wedding theme? Having a wedding in an old castle sounded romantic, right?”

An Nuan looked at the photo that her mother-in-law was showing to her.

The classic romantic wedding theme was always popular. However, An Nuan was not that interested in it. Her wedding with Pei Zhi Yi was supposed to be like this one. She had the hall decorated with flowers and laces.

“Mmm… it is pretty,” An Nuan agreed. “But we must travel to another country for this wedding, right?”

“You don’t like it?” Song Luan looked at her daughter-in-law inquiringly.

An Nuan tried to smile. “It’s not that. I just thought that it would be inconvenient to travel. It would be too tiring for the elders to travel. Mom, there are a lot of beautiful places in our country. Let’s hold a wedding here.”

Song Luan heaved a sigh. “Nuan Nuan is right.” She turned to Shi Xi and continued, “We were so excited planning the wedding that we have forgotten about the elders who will be attending the wedding. An Nuan is more considerate than us.”

An Nuan lowered her gaze to hide the guilt in her eyes.

She was not that considerate.

It was just that she was not willing to spend too much time and energy on this wedding. Given her relationship with Lin Xiao Feng, An Nuan guessed that he too would have the same opinion.

“Our family and friends are mostly in Y City,” Shi Xi said. “It is convenient to hold a wedding in this city. There are quite a lot of beautiful places around. Nuan Nuan, do you have any preferences?” Shi Xi asked as she looked at her daughter.

“Mom, the two of you can discuss this wedding and make your decision,” An Nuan said. “I will be moving to Capital City soon. It will be more convenient if the two of you plan everything. I’m sure that it will be good.”

Shi Xi glanced at her daughter. She probably could guess what was going through her daughter’s mind.

Just in time, Shi Xi caught the sight of her son-in-law walking over. “Xiao Feng.” She waved her hand to call her son-in-law. “We were discussing the wedding theme for your wedding. Mom wants to know if you have any opinion.”

Lin Xiao Feng stopped in front of the coffee table and saw the albums. He then turned to An Nuan. “What do you think?”

“An Nuan said, it’s better to have the wedding in Y City,” Shi Xi said.

“Then, let’s just follow An Nuan’s opinion.” Lin Xiao Feng’s gaze stayed on the album for a while longer.

He had never planned a wedding before and thought that he did not mind the wedding banquet. However, now that he had seen a few photos and concepts, Lin Xiao Feng was suddenly interested.

He could imagine getting married to An Nuan in every theme.

“Did something catch your attention?” Shi Xi looked at her son-in-law in excitement.

Lin Xiao Feng raised his head and smiled. “I’m not sure. I still have to take a look first.”

“Take a look,” Shi Xi urged. “Tell us if you see anything you like.”

“Why don’t you leave the album here first,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “I will look at them carefully and get back to you.”

An Nuan could not hide her surprise upon hearing Lin Xiao Feng’s words. She thought that he would not care much about the wedding.

Lin Xiao Feng grabbed an album on the table and sat next to An Nuan.

“I thought that you would be too busy with your work to participate in the wedding decision,” An Nuan whispered to Lin Xiao Feng while their mothers were not paying attention.

His movement halted. “Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng browsed through the album casually. “But I have never participated in wedding planning. I am just looking around curiously.”

Song Luan raised her head and saw the young couple whispering a few words…

The corner of her lips tilted up.

Seeing that An Nuan and Lin Xiao Feng getting along fine made her feel more at ease.

“That’s right, An Nuan, Xiao Feng, we still haven’t discussed your wedding photos,” Song Luan said. “Have you decided when you are going to shoot them?”

“Mom, isn’t it too early to be talking about a wedding photo?” An Nuan asked.

“It’s not too early,” Shi Xi said. “Previously, it was agreed for you both to have a wedding banquet after a year. Look. A few months have passed since then. How about next month? Should I contact the studio and arrange it for you?”

An Nuan glanced at Lin Xiao Feng. “But Xiao Feng has recently been busy with his work.” She turned to Lin Xiao Feng again. “Would you have time to shoot the wedding photo?”

Lin Xiao Feng met An Nuan’s gaze and saw the pleading look in An Nuan’s eyes. He could see that she was reluctant to shoot some wedding photos with him. Unlike An Nuan, Lin Xiao Feng was looking forward to it.

“An Nuan is right. I have recently been busy with my work,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “Mom, you know that I am handling an important project in Y City.”

“Your career is important. This wedding is also important.” Song Luan shot a warning look at her son. “Whatever it is, you have to make time for it.”

Lin Xiao Feng pursed his lips, pretending as if he was thinking about his mother’s words seriously. “How about two months later? By then, I probably won’t be too busy. Mom, you can help me arrange it.”

The smile on Song Luan’s face returned. “Alright.”

An Nuan frowned. She did not care about a wedding photo but then, she realized that she would have to go through everything again to make their elders happy.
